"It has already been 100 days. What is taking them so long?" Ainna complained, sitting with Miryssa and Vexthra.
It had already been 100 days since Kent and Inaya left for the harem.
At first, when they were gone, she used the next couple of days to come to terms with her near-death experience.
When she tried to divine Dia’s stolen fate, had it not been for Akira’s timely intervention, she would have died. That chilling moment gave her a reality check. She never expected her death to have been that simple.
However, after she recovered, she started to look forward to talking with her friend and also Kent. There is a lot she wanted to say to him.
Days became weeks, and weeks turned to months, but she still hadn’t returned.
Every single day, she would complain, and like always, Vexthra and Miryssa would be there to give her the same answer.
"Relax, they have been apart for so long; it will take a while for them to catch up," Miryssa replied this time. Yesterday, it was Vexthra who did.
Today, however, Vexthra added something more, "If you miss her too much, we can send you over to see for yourself that she is fine."
Ainna turned and looked at Vexthra. "Why didn’t you offer this weeks ago?"
She asked with a bit of a frown. However, Vexthra merely smiled, knowing Ainna was just being overprotective. Also, she didn’t offer to send her into the Harem Tower because they both knew what was happening there.
Already, they could sense that Inaya had become their sister. This discovery made them know the past weeks had been spent by Kent and Inaya in each other’s embrace.
Wanting to save her the awkwardness, they said nothing, making her think that where Kent and Inaya went wasn’t a place they could get to.
But now that Vexthra had offered, she was inclined to accept.
"Are you sure, though..." Vexthra asked. Miryssa smiled on the side, knowing full well that when it came to the harem tower, even those with powerful wills were destined to fall.
"Just send me there. I still have a few things to say to that bastard."
Vexthra nodded and turned to look at Miryssa, who giggled and turned her head away.
"Just so you have a way out. If you want to leave, just think it, and you will find yourself here in an instant."
