Primordial Chaos Dragon Tower: Harem System

Chapter 1528: Unexpected Ally

Chapter 1528: Unexpected Ally

[Ten Minutes Before the Attack on the Silent Graves]

The redheaded dragon man remained seated in the same spot, drinking his hell wine all night long. From time to time, he would look at the black mansion only 5 km away and smirk.

It appeared he harbored some animosity toward someone living there.

However, looking at the strength of the guards stationed around it, he seemed to hesitate from going there. He is only an Immortal Monarch, so facing several Immortal Lords and a few demigods wasn’t something he planned to do.

A few seconds before Avotha and his people attacked the base just 10 km from the black mansion, another figure, shrouded in darkness, emerged from the redheaded dragon man’s shadow and whispered in his ear.

’It is done.’

Nobody inside the inn seemed to sense the person. However, if one did and looked closely, they would see that the person is a demigod.

The redheaded dragon man nodded and was about to take a sip of his wine when a loud boom echoed, spreading out from the base of the Silent Graves.

He shifted his attention over there, and just when he was about to stand up, he turned back to the black mansion. There, a man clad in a black cloak appeared in the air, flew up, and vanished into the clouds.

’Change of plans, Daliah. You have to hold back his guards. I will handle him myself.’

’Are you sure, my lord?’ the figure shrouded in darkness asked, and the redheaded dragon man nodded.

’Do not worry. I wasn’t known as the Primordial Flame King, rival of the Primordial Chaos Dragon, for nothing.’

’He defeated you, though... 30 times, but who is counting?’

The dragon man turned and looked at his shadow. ’Whose side are you on, Daliah? And in case you are not aware, the first time we met, I defeated him.’ He gulped down the last of his hell wine and stood up.

’You know what, why even explain myself?’ He turned into a streak of red light and vanished.

The person in the darkness smirked. ’Only because he had less than 20% of his energy left, and you had all 24 of us to count on. But who is counting?’

The darkness vanished, and soon, the black mansion was covered in absolute darkness. If someone who had mastered the laws of darkness were to be present, they would know this person had reached the Extreme stage.

Their understanding had long since transcended the Absolute stage and entered the realm of Extreme Darkness. So the moment the darkness spread, not even the strongest demigod could escape it.

Meanwhile, when the dragon man left, he appeared somewhere in the camp of the Silent Graves and observed what was happening.

On one side, he saw a dark-haired demigod dragon clashing with Warlord Biana. Looking at how that fight was progressing, the man seemed to have the upper hand.

He was a bit intrigued when he saw the man was just like him—a dragon who doesn’t take anything seriously.

Turning to another side, he saw another brute wielding a green flaming axe, each strike causing the very ground to shake and crack.

Then he turned to another human-looking man who wielded a spear, moving like the wind, killing as he passed.

There was another dragon fighting alongside the spearman. However, he saw that this dragon was also paying attention to the formation that was trying to find a target.

Suddenly, his gaze turned to the brute, who was pushed back, and then, before he could move, a spear was stabbed into his chest.

But that didn’t end there. Just when the brute was about to counter, a powerful presence fell from the clouds, locking him in place.

This gave the formation enough time to charge a beam and fire.

Turning briefly to look up at the clouds, he moved and appeared before Vargus. Then, with a gentle stretch of his hand, he blocked the beam.

It was so effortless that he felt next to nothing. When it cleared, he looked up and spoke:

"Are you going to come out and play, or hide in the clouds like the coward you are?"

Vargus, who was saved, stomped on the ground, and it cracked. At once, the aura around him thickened, and his presence started to exude more power.

His gaze ignited into green flames, spilling out a dreadful smoky aura. From the crack that had appeared on the ground, a large green axe emerged, bathed in flames.

The moment the axe appeared, a terrible pressure descended on the two demigods. He grabbed the axe while the one he wielded melded into sparks of flame essence.

"Thanks for the assist, Mr Dragon. Let’s have a chat later." With that, he moved and swung his axe...

"Hell Flame Killing Circle"

The ground exploded, and literal hell appeared. Flames fueled by the torment and resentment of haunted souls flared into existence, causing the two demigods to panic and break into a cold sweat.

Vargus wasted no time and lunged at them.

Avotha, who was struck, slid across the ground for a few meters but quickly managed to stabilize himself. Just then, he sensed another pseudo-god descending from the clouds, his arms crossed behind his back, a smirk forming beneath his hood.

When he was low enough, he looked down at the redheaded dragon man and asked:

"All this anger and resentment... have we met before. Granted, I have met many people, and thanks to my stellar reputation, I can boldly say none of them ever came back with murderous intent in their eyes. You, on the other hand, seem to want me dead. Why is that?"

He removed the hood, revealing a tattooed face.

"You aren’t even a demigod. Are you sure you are qualified to challenge me?"

The redheaded dragon man sized the man up for a few seconds before he smirked. "Two years ago, you and three others attacked a dragon enclave, trying to get your hands on a dragon stone. You failed, of course, but your chaos killed three dragon children."

"So you are here for revenge. I see, that makes sense." A grin formed on his face. "I did kill a lot of people."

The redheaded dragon man shook his head and let out a cold smile. "You know what, I initially wanted to have an extended battle with you. However, seeing your smug expression now, I know what I have to do."

He turned and looked toward the black mansion, now shrouded in darkness. "Daliah, you have my permission to kill everyone."

The tattooed man frowned and turned to look in the same direction. When he saw the darkness, a panicked look appeared on his face.

"NO,"

He was about to move when a terrifying presence descended from the sky, sending him crashing to the ground. The dragon man smiled and took one step forward...

"You know, in the past, I was called the Flame King. Back then, many feared me, and so they worshipped me. Why antagonize the devil if you can make him feel special?

I like to be feared, to be worshipped, to be praised by all. Those who failed to do that met my fury. I burned them to a crisp and spat on their ashes.

My presence was divine, godlike if you will. Legendary cultivators run when they sense my presence. Kingdoms bowed their heads in servitude while empires lay down their weapons at my merciful feet.

It was the man, the dragon, the flame king.

I had the power, the fame, and the wealth... I was on top of the world, the universe even. It had it all. That was until I met him, the Primordial Chaos Dragon.

He was aloof, cold, and hated people. In his eyes, people are the worst kind of evil. However, he fought to protect them. He faced harrowing dangers just to keep them safe.

You can say he hated them yet protected them.

In a way, he was the direct opposite of me. That was also why we became rivals the moment we set eyes on each other. My beliefs were what he opposed, and his were opposed to mine.

We clashed thousands of times, each battle more intense than the last.

Years later, we fought side by side, dying while saving him. I regretted nothing because I died for a just cause—the irony in that.

Fate gave me a second chance, and this time, I aspire to be like my rival. I aspire to live like the Primordial Chaos Dragon. I pledge to live like him, which is why I can wield his undying power to smite you."

By the time he ended his speech, he was 100 meters away from the tattooed-faced man. The pressure falling on him had become even more terrible now.

Gritting his teeth, the tattooed man asked,

"W-Who are you?"

The dragon man grinned. "Me, I used to be called the Primordial Flame King. But these days, I go by Uncle Drake."

He raised his hand and spoke the undying words of the Primordial Chaos Dragon.
