Primordial Chaos Dragon Tower: Harem System

Chapter 1527: The Rescue Mission (2)

Chapter 1527: The Rescue Mission (2)

The Silent Graves is a mercenary team led by the great Warlord Biana.

Over the last thousand years, they had dominated the Grave Continent and a few wastelands on Planet Skar, amassing great wealth and power.

Their reputation for brutality and slaughter had been registered in everyone’s mind, so people knew better than to antagonize any of their members. Members from that dreadful team do as they please, knowing full well nobody would dare mess with them.

Today, one of the members was celebrating his birthday, so everyone was in a festive mood.

They, of course, never expected their cheerful atmosphere to soon turn into a chaotic mess, one that would send ripples spreading all over Planet Skar and beyond.

"Nire, since today is your 3,090th birthday, allow me to make a toast to your short life. You are the youngest of us, but you have done so much to earn your place. Ten years from today, I want to see you even stronger and more powerful than you are now. To Nire."

"To Nire," everyone cheered and started to drink to their fill.

As the mood grew even more pleasant, more booze was brought out, adding to the cheers. They drank to their fill and had the best time of their lives.

As if by design, they managed to fully celebrate Nire’s birthday and even made plans for the next time one of them would also celebrate their own.

Given how much the lifespan increases as one ascends in cultivation, celebrating birthdays every year is meaningless. The younger ones do so every 10 years, while those who have lived for 10,000 years or more do so every 100 years.

Some even do so every few thousand years, with the old bags of bones going millions of years without celebrating their birthdays.

So while there are many mercenaries with their birthdays coming up soon, they wouldn’t celebrate until a couple more years have passed.

Eventually, the celebration came to an end, and many retired to their homes.

Soon, however, their worst fear arrived.

The atmosphere at the Silent Graves was calm until a large shadow enveloped the space, dark clouds forming overhead.

Before many could rise from their beds to see what was happening, a terrible pressure descended on them, accompanied by a chilling voice.

"I don’t suppose anyone knows where I can find the bitch who calls herself Biana," Avotha’s voice filled the camp of the Silent Graves, with thousands losing consciousness, the weaker ones dying in the process.

He was in his human form, but even his terrible power was enough to send Immortal Lords to their knees. Some even lost their balance in the most unexpected moments, breaking a few bones.

However, the pressure was lifted when a furious tone came from a stony mansion not far from Avotha.

"Who dares break into my domain?"

Underground, a formation activated, and arrays started rising into the air.

Warlord Biana appeared, her hand gripping a black spear with a red, razor-sharp tip. She had short, dark hair and an athletic build that suggested she was both nimble like a cat and flexible like an assassin.

The aura around her was subtle, a bit calm for someone who looked both furious and enraged.

"So you are the one called Biana." Avotha extended his hand and gave her a thumbs-down. "I expected better."

This gesture caused the expression on Warlord Biana’s face to harden. However, before she could have the time to become more furious, the battle began.

Avotha moved, and Warlord Biana’s eyes widened.

Before she could react to the sudden movement, a terrible punch landed on her left breast, sending her crashing into a mountain 300 meters away, a piercing scream of pain escaping her lips.

"That’s for enslaving a princess," the Death Dragon said.

He took one step and stood before Biana, whose expression darkened as a violet aura oozed from her body. Two black horns appeared on her forehead.

Avotha clenched his fist and was about to land another punch when the void exploded from behind him, two weapons—a sword and a scythe—piercing through its dark maw.

Their tips gleam with deadly intent, both weapons aimed to claim his life.

He turned sideways and was about to block when a great axe bathed in green flames came from the other direction and clashed into them.

This allowed Avotha to land his blow. Unfortunately, Biana used the momentary distraction to defend, blocking the punch with her spear.

The impact, however, sent her staggering back a few more meters.

At the same time, two demigods appeared from the void and were about to speed toward their mistress’s rescue when Vargus landed, creating a terrifying shockwave.

"Kindly entertain me, please." He extended his large arm, and his axe flew into it.

Then, with a heavy step, he was upon the two demigods, who knew it would be a while before they could get to their leader—that is, if they themselves managed to survive.

Their battle soon began, creating chaos everywhere.

The immortals were left stunned, unsure of what to do. The scale of the battle wasn’t one they were qualified to fight in. In fact, they ran the risk of death if they remained where they were.

Some began to retreat, while others, tapping into their sense of duty and blind loyalty, chose to remain and look for ways to interfere in the battles to give their side an advantage.

That thought soon changed when, all of a sudden, strings came out of nowhere and latched onto over a hundred immortals. Before any of them could react, they were pulled into the void, vanishing forever.

"Run and live, stay and die."

Kailan burst out from the void, and his massacre began. He wielded his spear with deadly might, cleaving through one immortal after another.

The formation came to life, but it was quickly discovered that it wasn’t all-knowing. In fact, the moment it activated, it tried to lock onto Avotha, but with how fast he was moving, it failed. The same was true for Vargus and Kailan.

Axiom was hidden in the void, using its insidious power to trap and pull the immortals inside, never to be seen or heard from again.

Because of this, Fero also joined the battle. The infamous formation was useless, failing to target anyone. He also saw that he was powerless to stop it, so, taking into account what Avotha said, he decided to join Kailan in fighting the immortals.

Unfortunately for them, the formation soon found its target and locked onto him.

Vargus was pushed back by one of the demigods he was fighting. This caused him to slow down a bit, but that was all the time the formation needed.

It locked onto him, and a beam formed. However, it never got to fire in that instant. If it did, it would have missed.

It did, however, slow Vargus down long enough for the spear of one of the demigods to pierce his chest. That injury slowed him down further.

However, he managed to evade the attack from the second demigod, causing her scythe to graze his chest. He jumped back, and when he was about to unleash an overhead swinging slash, a deadly eye locked onto his body.

This move brought him to a near halt.

The formation finally found its death mark, unleashing a blinding beam that sent the surrounding buildings exploding into ruins.

Fero, who was assigned to the formation, knew that even if he were a demigod, that beam wasn’t something he could handle—not when the flame law contained within that beam wasn’t something he could withstand.

In fact, Avotha was also forced to turn and look, giving Biana the chance to attack him.

He didn’t mind the pain.

Instead, three Death Tattoos glowed on his left arm, and he was about to take an impossible gamble when a redheaded demi-dragon appeared before Vargus and extended his hand, using it to block the beam.

The beam that would have incinerated Vargus was blocked, and not even a burn mark was left on his arm.

When the smoke cleared, the redheaded demi-dragon turned and looked to his left and spoke in a disdainful tone:

"Are you going to come out and play, or hide in the clouds like the coward you are,"
