Chapter 1552: Forming the First Chaos Heart (8)
Chapter 1552: Forming the First Chaos Heart (8)
Kent looked up just as a statue of a dragon appeared from the tribulation cloud and hovered right below it.
He felt a chill run down his spine when he laid eyes on this statue.
"Damn, just what is this thing?"
The Master of Purgatory smiled as if he had read his mind.
"This statue, according to Paragon, is an absolute form of your current self. This means this dragon is a Heavenly Ascension Stage, but a perfect absolute version of what, in his eyes, a Heavenly Ascension Stage being in this in this uninverse should be."
Kent narrowed his eyes at the statue, fear gripping him.
As a dragon, he can be considered a predator, an existence that sees everyone else as prey. So, for him to be feeling fear meant the dragon statue was something to be afraid of.
"Just what kind of person is he?" Kent asked, then let out a sigh. After a few seconds, he added, "I had the privilege to meet his older selves, and recently, I met his younger self, but every version of him scares me."
"Big Brother Paragon is an existence that cannot be comprehended. When I met him for the first time ever, I wondered just what kind of existence he was, for even I couldn’t see his true peak."
Kent cleared his throat as if to say, but you are blind, so how can you see him, but he just smiled. Master of Purgatory also smiled.
"The point is, he took interest in growth, and thanks to his rogue nature, I grew into an existence that even the heavens came to fear. I still don’t know why he has taken an interest in you, but what I can tell you is this: when the Paragon comes calling, it is nothing good. However, most of the time, it had to do something very important, something that the Presence of the Primordial Chaos Dragon would be needed.
So we must play chess again, only that this time, it will be against a monster who can break into any universe and manipulate events, all just to ensure the people he calls friends suffer, but one day becomes the absolute version of themselves."
Kent smiled, for he knew indeed his life had been manipulated by the Paragon in all the right ways from the start. The [Soul Universe] and his living sword [Gaap] were all his doing.
However, just what is he up to this time around?
"Tell me plainly, Master of Purgatory, compared to this statue, how far have I risen? In other words, out of 100, what is my score if the statue is a 100?"
"Probably 65%."
"That low?" Kent smiled.
"Yes. But that would become 100% if you can win against this statue today. In simple terms, defeat this statue, and you will become an absolute. Your new scales will be absolute. Your bloodline will be the same. Everything about you will become absolute."
"What if I fail?"
"Well, if you fail, I guess I will have no reason to visit you again."
Kent took a deep breath, picked one black stone, and placed it in a strategic position on the board. "I suppose becoming an absolute doesn’t sound too bad."
"That is the spirit."
Kent stood up and walked over to his wives. "Things are about to get chaotic. However, whatever happens, do not try to help me."
They nodded, though all their focus was shifted to the Master of Purgatory.
Vexthra asked, "Who is that man?"
Kent smiled and kissed her forehead. "An old friend of mine."
That was all they needed to hear.
Afterward, they kissed him, Ainna distancing herself from him, with a clear sign she had no plans to kiss him.
Kent just laughed and moved away.
"Okay, Master of Purgatory, let’s play chess."
Kent rose into the air, and as he did, his body started to transform. By the time he was 100 meters from the statue, he had turned into a colossal dragon.
He let out a powerful roar, releasing terrifying killing intent.
The Master of Purgatory smiled. "Indeed, let’s play chess."
He placed a white stone on the board, and up in the air, the statue cracked. The crack expanded, and soon, it started to line the entire body. Some parts began to fall off.
It took just a few seconds for a golden dragon to be revealed.
It was the same size as Kent, just that while Kent has a dark-gold scale with streaks of red, the new dragon is completely golden.
Its crimson eyes, however, caused Kent to close his eyes for a moment—a moment he regretted.
BOOM
A terrifying tail slammed into his body, sending him crashing back to the ground. The attack rattled him, his body trembling.
As he fell, his mind spinning, a terrifying thought flashed through his mind, causing him to close his eyes at once. This time, he shut them for his own good.
"Drago Gaze,"
He recognized the skill, and that was why he shut his eyes. From what he knew, it was one of the most terrifying innate abilities a dragon could ever awaken.
Chaos awakened it after his second tribulation, and since then, he had become a terror that could easily defeat an opponent with a mere gaze.
"I suppose tempering my mind was what saved me... ahhhh!" he screamed when his body finally slammed into the ground.
However, he flapped his wings and was back up, his maw opening. Just as he did, a terrifying torrent of green flames burst out, lunging at the golden dragon.
He aimed to burn it to a crisp.
However, to his shock, just as his flame was 3 meters away, the golden dragon’s tail elongated, its scales rearranging themselves into a deadly, whip-like weapon.
Before he could make sense of everything, a terrifying whip slashed across the side of his face, blood gushing out from his mouth and nose.
"OUCH!" he screams, his voice spreading across the planet.
On the ground, his wives wince, their hands instinctively going to their faces.
On the other side, Ainna grinned. "That’s got to hurt," she laughed and added, "Go, Mr. Gold Dragon. Teach this bastard a lesson."
Inaya glared hatefully at her friend, but Ainna just stuck out her tongue in a teasing manner.
"Bitch." She turned away, fist clenched.
In the air, the flame breath attack missed, and Kent was sent flying back. However, just when he was getting out of range, the dragon’s tail whipped through the air and grabbed him by the neck, pulling him back again.
Just as he was sent flying back, Kent saw from his peripheral vision a terrifying claw attack that, if he didn’t evade, the battle would come to an end in an instant come at him.
"Damn you, Paragon..."
He ignited his body in green and red flames, and then his wings expanded.
Just when the claw was a meter away, a humming sound came from his wings, and he vanished from sight, the void cracking where he had stood a moment before.
The claw attack missed, striking nothing but air.
3 km away, Kent hovered in the air, eyes closed, Soul Map opened as he looked at the golden dragon. His metallic dragon wings now had an added layer: dark-silver wings humming with void energy.
The Jade Void Wings have been active.
Kent knew he had to use it, so after igniting all his flame veins, he activated it, saving him from the claw attack.
As if playing the game in person, a black stone move landed on an offensive spot on the board. The Master of Purgatory smiled and placed a second stone on the board.
Up in the air, the golden dragon let out a terrifying roar and expanded its wings. In the distance, Kent did the same. They each took a deep breath, and then they vanished, clashing in the air.
Shockwaves exploded from their bodies, crashing down. Wherever their attacks met, the void shattered. Soon, blood started to rain down.
