Primordial Chaos Dragon Tower: Harem System

Chapter 1562: Skull City

Chapter 1562: Skull City

Kent had already been itching during the years he spent with his wives inside the harem tower to try out some of the skills he had awakened during his seclusion on Planet Rainy, but he never had the chance.

So when the opportunity finally presented itself, he didn’t hesitate.

What he never expected, however, was how potent the ability was.

He had only wanted to test it on them to see if there would be any effect. However, the effect was much more than he had anticipated.

Sometimes, the descriptions of skills don’t do them justice.

In the case of the Chaos Monarch’s Sovereignty, it did a terrible job.

---

[Chaos Monarch’s Sovereignty]

[Rank: Innate+]

[Description: You are the Chaos Monarch. Your authority is absolute. Even among the ranks of other monarchs, your Chaos will transcend all. In times of chaos, your authority has no bounds, allowing you to embody the essence of Chaos.]

---

The description portrayed the skill as something that could not be disobeyed. In this instance, the skill seemed to imply that even against a Celestial stage cultivator who was not a monarch, Kent can command them.

However, that was far from the truth.

In fact, the skill requires three factors to operate.

The first is his mind. Kent is expected to possess superior mental strength if he wants to be able to hold influence over those he intends to command. If he has less mental strength, then commanding the person would have little to no hold on them.

The second is his soul strength. His soul also had to be stronger, or at least be on the same level as the person, before the Chaos Monarch’s Sovereignty could work.

The last, of course, was bloodline. Naturally, it could be said that Kent possessed a rather robust bloodline. His Primordial Chaos Dragon Bloodline was at the peak of the Celestial stage.

It was thanks to his bloodline that all those powerhouses felt his awakening when his blood reached the monarch grade. So it could be said that while his soul and mind were much weaker, even against a god, they would feel his monarch’s presence if he wanted them to.

Commanding them to do his bidding, however, is impossible at his current level. His soul and mind aren’t at the level to do something like that just yet.

However, it appeared these immortal-level Star Beasts were much weaker than he had expected. Now, they were all on their knees, the look of shock painted across their faces.

Clearly, they couldn’t believe their eyes. Upon all their arrogance and power, here they are, on their knees. Even willing themselves to stand up was proving to be impossible, and so they could only stare at Kent in horror.

"Ah, looks like this place would indeed bring out the evil in me," he grinned and activated the [Dragon Gaze].

Since he had picked a side, testing his second ability is only right.

Once the [Dragon Gaze] is active, he aimed it at the fifteen Terrakhans.

When they looked into his eyes, their expressions paled, and then, under the horrified gaze of the eight Velkharians, all fifteen of them plunged their weapons into their hearts, ending their own lives.

"Quite unfortunate, I suppose." Kent smiled and turned to the eight Velkharians.

"Hi, my name is Kent Madson. I don’t suppose this place is Skull City?"

For a moment, the eight Velkharians trembled, some losing their balance. As beings who hated killing, watching the gruesome way the fifteen Terrakhans died terrified them.

On top of that, while some of them felt the urge to vomit, looking at Kent smile after committing such a massacre made them even more afraid of him.

It took them five minutes before one of them found the confidence to speak.

"Hi, my name is Ketta. Please don’t kill us."

Kent raised his brow, a bit taken aback by her request. "Oh, why would I want to kill you?"

At his question, Ketta turned and looked at the dead bodies on the ground. Seeing this, Kent smiled weakly, a guilty expression appearing on his face.

He snapped his fingers, and the fifteen bodies on the ground were ignited in flames. It took less than a minute for them all to turn to ash.

"There you go. Now, the bad guys are dead, so you can relax and answer some of my questions. Also, do not worry, I will not kill you. I have no reason to kill you, not when I need your help."

His words seemed to have calmed them down a bit.

After a few moments, Ketta took a deep breath and looked at Kent. "Once again, my name is Ketta. I am the leader of this group. Together, we are the special escorts of the Skull Princess. And yes, this place is part of Skull City; however, the city itself is several thousand miles from here."

She gave Kent a curious look before asking:

"What business do you have here, and why did you kill them? While they would have killed us, those fifteen are from Stone City and were under the direct orders of one of the Stone Generals. If they don’t return in a few days’ time, they will notice their absence, and that would trigger a retaliation from them against us."

"Ah, so that was why you were afraid. You fear their retaliation against your kind, huh?"

Ketta nodded.

"All the more reason why you should take me to Skull City. You see, I am looking for something very important, and I believe your leaders can help me.

Of course, based on the help they can provide, I may decide whether to help you with your Stone people problem. So instead of standing here debating why I shouldn’t have killed the people who killed three of your people, we should rather be on our way."

Ketta wanted to protest, but one of her teammates interrupted her.

"Big sister Ketta, maybe we should take him to the High Priestess. Maybe he is the—"

"That is enough, Tui."

Ketta cut him off, but Kent was able to pick up on something that he could use to his advantage. ’It seems they are expecting someone important. If I play my cards right, I can be that person.’

[The master is indeed on to something. However, are you sure faking it is the way? From what I have read in all those summoning books, whenever a race of pacifists or those at risk of extinction performs a summoning ritual, the hero they summon is mostly someone with great power.

I hate to say this, but the master isn’t that hero, especially since the master has yet to even become an Immortal.]

’Have some faith in me, Tower. Just look at me, I check all the boxes.’

[And what are those boxes?]

’You know, good looks, strength, charm, hero presence, and any other boxes there are. Of course, even if I don’t check all the boxes, there are always the classic words... fake it till you make it.’

[I have a bad feeling about this. However, I suppose we will find out soon enough.]

It took Ketta a few minutes to come to a decision. They left the forest, and after four hours of travel, they arrived at the gate of a large city made entirely from the skull of a very large beast.

The skull was so large, in fact, that Kent wondered just what kind of monster it came from. He activated his Heavenly Jade Eyes, allowing him to see more than just its outer appearance.

Surrounding the city was a very powerful formation, the kind that even a god would become helpless against.

Standing at the entrance of the city were five Immortal Lords and a Demigod.
