Primordial Chaos Dragon Tower: Harem System

Chapter 1563: The Hero

Chapter 1563: The Hero

Kent expected this welcome, since, when they were 2,000 miles from the city, he sensed someone scanning him thoroughly. He noticed this because his Soul Map was open at the time.

However, being welcomed by the leaders of Skull City was the least he expected.

He was not a genie, but he could tell the Demigod was the authority in this city, so seeing her at the entrance meant only one thing...

’They knew I would be coming.’

He said inwardly, feeling like faking his hero status wouldn’t be too hard after all.

It took just a few minutes, but soon they were only 10 meters from the six people. When they stopped, Ketta and her teammates bowed.

"We greet the High Priestess."

Kent stood like a metal beam, his gaze fixed as he scanned the six people in front of him. The High Priestess had silver hair with black strands. Her oval face, coupled with her blue eyes, made her a beauty to behold.

Looking around, he could tell silver hair was kind of their thing, since the others standing beside her all had it.

However, he also noticed something peculiar: all five Immortal Lords were women. This discovery made him raise an eyebrow.

This also means there is something afoot.

He opened the Soul Map and performed a quick scan. Now that he had formed his Chaos Heart and both his mind and soul had become much stronger, he could use the Soul Map more effectively.

Within a 30,000 km radius, he spotted over 3,000 hidden figures, each an Immortal Lord. From the look in their eyes, he could tell that should he make a slight mistake, they would attack him.

Seeing this, he was a bit puzzled.

’Tower, didn’t you say these people are pacifists?’

[I did say that.]

’Then why are there 3,500 of them hidden and ready to kill?’

[That is because they are mutants, and from the look of things, they are very dangerous mutants. I would be careful around them.]

’What the hell.’

While Kent was cursing his luck, the High Priestess told Ketta and her team to lift their heads. Once they did, her entire attention locked onto Kent.

Sensing her gaze, Kent’s chaos-filled blood surged, all forms of apprehension wiped from his mind and body, and a smile appeared on his lips.

"Forgive me, High Priestess, but aren’t you supposed to be a race of pacifists?"

She nodded but said nothing.

Seeing this, Kent grinned and pointed to his left. "Then why are there over 3,000 of your kind ready to kill me? Did I perhaps do something wrong?"

Hearing his words, the High Priestess frowned. The five Immortal Lords standing behind her also frowned. Clearly, they did not expect Kent to uncover their secret so easily. Not even Ketta and her friends knew of this lineup.

Kent saw he had made a blunder, so he smiled and introduced himself...

"Hi, my name is Kent Madson. I am a dragon and a being from outside this realm. I came here not by accident but on a journey to the galaxy that lies just beyond this realm. Is there any chance you can help me? I am willing to pay for your help."

The High Priestess’s unblinking gaze remained locked on Kent.

Kent said nothing else and remained standing there for five minutes before she spoke.

"You said you are from the world outside this place."

"Indeed."

"What era are we currently in?" she asked again...

"The Infinity Era."

"I see." She thought for a moment and then sighed...

She looked intently at Kent and then asked again, "Do you know the era the one named the King of Evil lived in?"

Kent furrowed his brow, a face appearing in his mind. ’It is him, the Ruthless Bandit. Though why did she refer to him as the King of Evil...’

His thoughts wandered for a moment before he nodded. "I believe he lived during the Dark Era."

"So he is dead?" she asked, to which Kent shook his head.

"Unknown. His death was never recorded, so nobody can tell with absolute certainty whether he is dead or alive."

"Legends have it that the King of Evil goes by another title. You wouldn’t happen to know that title, would you?" At her question, everyone’s eyes turned toward him.

Kent felt like his answer this time would determine his fate. Of course, he had already prepared an escape long before he arrived at this place. However, it would be a rough struggle if they attacked him.

That said, the answer was obvious.

"He was called the Ruthless Bandit."

Kent could see a relieved expression appear on everyone’s face. Even Ketta and her team seemed to have calmed down considerably.

The next second, however, his eyes widened.

The High Priestess, the five Immortal Lords, Ketta and her team, the guards on the bone walls, and every last Velkharian went down on their knees and spoke the words they never expected to hear.

"All hail the Hero of the Evil King."

"All hail the Hero of the Evil King."

Kent stood there in shock, his expression displaying how lost he was. He never expected to be hailed a hero when he hadn’t even made his move yet. In his mind, they merely wanted to confirm if he was indeed from the world outside the Star Realm.

Now, the hero he was planning to fake had been bestowed on him, and from the look of things, they had been expecting him.

While he was in shock, 3,500 warriors emerged from the ground and bowed, their fists pressed to their chests.

’I expected many surprises, but this was the most unexpected of them all.’ He was in shock, but he managed to remain calm.

[I believe they won’t stand unless the master tells them to.]

Kent was snapped back to his senses by Tower.

"Please stand."

The High Priestess and her people stood up, their expressions filled with happiness. They prayed for a savior, and he was now here, so of course, they were happy.

The only one in shock was Kent himself.

"Uhm, I believe we have a very extensive discussion to have, don’t you think?" Kent said, and to his amazement, the High Priestess nodded.

"We will answer all the questions you have, Lord Evil."

"Errrh." Kent smiled weakly, hearing how he was being referred to. "You can just call me Kent."

"Alright, Lord Kent."

"Just Kent is fine."

"I wouldn’t dare. As the Hero sent by the Evil King, referring to you by just your name is a grave sin."

Kent stared at her with a stunned expression. He knew all too well that all of this was his doing; however, he couldn’t tell them he was already dead and had reincarnated a few times already. They still believed in him, and from the look of things, he still answered their prayers, so he would play along.

"Lord Kent is fine." He had to accept their kind gesture.

"I suppose we should get going now."

A crowd had started to gather at the entrance, so he knew they had to leave before he was forced to wave and smile at them.

He wanted to first know where Lex Morvane (Ruthless Bandit) fit into all of this.

Understanding his intention, the High Priestess created a portal that took them directly to the Skull Temple.
