Primordial Chaos Dragon Tower: Harem System

Chapter 1612: Soul Battle (1)

Chapter 1612: Soul Battle (1)

"I can tell you are currently at the True Sword Energy stage. While that is admirable for someone your age, learning you were Lord Genesis now makes me wonder why you aren’t yet at the Absolute Sword Energy stage."

Kent scratched his head, a smile appearing at the corner of his lips.

"Forget it. I will teach you Absolute Sword Energy, then you can be on your way. That said, aside from Absolute Sword Energy, there are Extreme, Ultimate, and finally Primal."

Kent nodded, the smile on his face displaying how happy he was. This encounter had already benefited him in ways he could not bring himself to understand.

Initially, he planned to paint a warlord he met during his time in the Star Realm back when he was the Ruthless Bandit. That warlord had Absolute Sword Energy.

They fought, and he was defeated.

However, he didn’t lose either. He managed to understand the sword energy the warlord used, and that was what he planned to use to learn Absolute Sword Energy.

He would paint him, manifest him, and cross swords with him again. This would have pushed him to understand it better.

Now, he had no reason to spirit paint that person, whom he believed might still be alive and somewhere in this realm.

A light flew and merged with Kent’s forehead.

"Your time here is ending, Kent Madson. For now, since you have bonded with the Undead Pagoda, you can come here whenever you have enough time. I believe a year on the outside would give you a minute in here.

Accumulate an hour before you return here. I believe by then you will be several times stronger to meet our 99th shadows."

Kent nodded. "Thank you, seniors. I will grow stronger so I can free you from this place. That said, if you need anything, I will be available to provide it for you."

They nodded, and he was gone.

"Teye, looks like you have finally met your match. This kid is a bundle of talent when it comes to swordsmanship," the man seated on the second statue addressed the first man who gave Kent the method to cultivate Absolute Sword Energy.

Teye, the one Kent would come to know as the Death Sovereign, smirked and said:

"You would do well to address him the right way. He is now our master, and as beings with no purpose, perhaps he will have a good use for us. As for his talent, I saw it firsthand when he managed to glimpse into the 4th tier."

"No need to be too serious, Teye. We both know Kent Madson is who we have been waiting for. What I personally never expected was him being the reincarnation of that Archer." The lady seated on the 9th statue blushed.

"By the dead gods, this is like a dream come true."

The eight undead generals turned and looked at her, but said nothing. They knew who she was talking about, and they remembered vividly how obsessed she was with that archer whose arrow could travel to both the past and the future.

He was one of the rarest warriors this universe had ever seen.

To think he was Kent all along.

"Suddenly, I feel like I will be having so much fun again," the lady on the 8th statue said, looking at her slender hands. "Very soon, I will have purpose, and that will be to fight for my new master, the Rejected Prince."

The others nodded.

They had each fancied an incarnation of Kent in the past.

It wouldn’t be an exaggeration to say his many lives were what kept them sane all this time. He had given them someone to admire, like, and love, and so for them, Kent might as well be Lord Genesis, the Faceless Assassin, or even the Chaos Dragon.

Now that they knew he was all of them, they would do their best to guide him toward a future where nobody, absolutely nobody, can contend against him.

"Ocran, why are you so quiet?"

Everyone turned to the handsome man on the 3rd statue. Naturally, he looked like someone who doesn’t talk much. However, given the revelation they had all witnessed, he should at least say something.

After all, he was practically best friends with the Nine Underworld Flame Blacksmith.

The man named Ocran, the Crypt Warden, turned slowly and looked at his teammates. For a moment, they all expected him to say something. However, he just smirked and vanished from the statue.

"What an uptight guy."

"Leave him be. His personality will return to him when his best friend returns."

The others laughed, and soon they all vanished from the nine statues. They would return when Kent had accumulated enough time to have a good chat with them.

If only they knew it would be sooner than they thought. After all, with the time difference inside the tower, 60 years might as well be months on the outside.

Kent found himself back in Yggzrael’s domain. He exhaled and turned to look at his companions.

Yggzrael and the other three demigods were done using the pills he gave them. Sensing their aura, Kent could tell they had grown at least three times stronger. That was more than enough to make the overlords of the four regions.

He smiled, knowing his strength was steadily rising. He retrieved 12 Grim Contracts and handed them to Yggzrael...

"Go to the other three regions and ensure the demigods there sign the contracts. Those who would resist, you have my permission to kill them. Of course, make sure they understand what they would be missing first.

Once that is done, inform me."

They nodded, and after bowing to Kent, they left for their mission.

Kent turned to Kharvok, who now had an ice cocoon around him. This sight made Kent furrow his brow...

[The master shouldn’t worry. I believe Kharvok has encountered an opportunity and is currently undergoing a mutation. If before he would be coming out two times stronger, then now, there is a chance he would return ten times stronger.]

"Well, I hate weak people, so it is only natural he returns a monster like me," Kent chuckled and decided to let his body relax.

However, the next second, a powerful burst of energy erupted inside his soul sea, causing Kent to widen his eyes. He sat up, and his soul appeared inside the vast, blood-filled soul sea.

There, standing 20 million km from him on a hill, was a beautiful tree about a kilometre tall with interwoven branches and canopy leaves. On its branches, there were varieties of fruits, some coloured orange, green, red, blue, purple, and others.

"This is Lady Kenzie’s Bloodline Skill Tree," Kent recognised the tree at a glance.

While the tree he saw before was much dimmer than this, he knew it was the same tree, and, to his shock, a green-haired lady clad in a translucent green lace dress was seated under it.

There was quite a distance between them, but Kent could tell she was exactly the lady he saw when he absorbed the Green Life Dao Stone.

Suddenly, a wave of refreshing energy came from the tree, making Kent sigh. He even smiled, thinking he was right about the Dao seed.

The next second, however, a humanoid formed from roots and leaves jumped down from the tree and lunged toward him, its speed blinding. More followed suit.

"WHAT—"

Kent lunged forward, his Soul Universe activating despite the shock on his face. He knew it was a battle of survival, and he had to win.

Thousands of spears and swords came from the Soul Universe and appeared inside the soul sea. Kent gestured forward, and they surged at the approaching Plantkins.

[You have awakened a Soul Guardian, the first of her kind. To make her recognise you, add a drop of your blood essence to the gem of her crown.]

[Failure means destruction of your soul.]
