Primordial Chaos Dragon Tower: Harem System

Chapter 1613: Soul Battle (2)

Chapter 1613: Soul Battle (2)

Spears and swords flew through the air, stabbing through the approaching Plantkin.

At best, Kent calculated that they were Root Immortals, so killing them wasn’t that stressful. Tower had warned him already, so he knew what had to be done now that the Dao Seed had fully blossomed and wanted to take control of his soul.

Kent had seen the message and knew the first thing he must do was carve a path to the tree standing on the hill, looking majestic, and add his blood to the gem of the crown on Lady Kenzie’s head.

’Is she even Lady Kenzie?’ Kent wondered, his hands moving as swords and spears zipped through the air, killing more plantkin.

’The Lady Kenzie I met looked peaceful and benevolent. She didn’t strike me as the kind of person who would try to take over the soul of another being, especially one who promised to get revenge for her.’

Kent smiled slightly and advanced steadily as more and more Plantkins flew at him.

He tried to use the Soul Map to get close to the tree, but it didn’t work. It felt like there were some laws blocking him from using it.

Now, he had advanced 2 million km, leaving him 18 million more to go.

For now, he saw no need to panic, since the Plantkins coming were rather weak, and they couldn’t hurt him even if he let them.

So Kent moved forward steadily.

Just when he breached the 5 million km distance, the Plantkins coming grew stronger, some rising to the rank of True Immortals.

Kent was stunned for a moment when he saw them grow taller, larger, and far more powerful. Their speed increased, forcing him to adapt as well.

The battle intensified, and Kent knew he had to hurry. However, the closer he got to the tree, the more deadly his foes became.

In fact, when he was halfway there, the first Immortal Lord appeared, causing Kent to wonder what would happen when he was only 100 meters away.

A chill ran down his spine, and for a moment, Kent felt danger. If 10 million km away, he had already started clashing with Immortal Lords, then wouldn’t that mean he would be facing demigods and perhaps gods when he was much closer to the tree?

’I need to hurry.’

He tapped into his Soul Universe, and more weapons surged out.

’Good thing Tower had never stopped creating and improving the weapons there.’ With the kills of his legion now contributing to his horde of Soul Spirits, Kent now had over a million spears at his disposal.

Though temporary, if he could return them to his soul sea before they ran out of soul essence, he could reuse them.

A spear moved through the air, stabbing through three Plantkins, before a root tendril wrapped around it and snapped it in half.

Kent felt a small portion of his soul essence vanish. However, it was an insignificant loss considering the entire Soul Universe was under his command.

More flying spears and swords were shattered, but more kept coming, just like how the Plantkins kept coming.

Kent kept moving, and before long, he was 5 million km away from the tree.

RUMBLE

Suddenly, a rumble rocked the soul sea, and from within the tree, a small leaf flew forward. When it was at a safe distance, it transformed into a wingless tree dragon, oozing the power of a demigod.

Kent’s eyes narrowed, his instincts telling him he must not underestimate this dragon. There was something different about it that made his skin crawl.

However, he didn’t hesitate and sent his swords flying toward it. Kent’s eyes narrowed when, just as the swords closed in, the dragon released a roar, and all 100 swords shattered.

"Oh, that was surprisingly heartbreaking," Kent smirked, knowing his swords and spears couldn’t do much to this dragon.

Thankfully, the spears and swords weren’t the only weapons inside his Soul Universe. Tower had worked overtime to prepare her master for this mission through the Star Gateway.

So when Kent gestured forward, and a cannon mounted on a metallic platform appeared, a smile formed on his face.

With a command, a beam was fired, and the wingless dragon had no idea how to defend against it. A hole was blasted through its head, and it vanished like the other Plantkins.

Kent sighed and put away the cannon, one of the ten that the Tower had created.

She called it the [Soul Erasing Cannon], a weapon that targets the soul directly. Each cannon can fire three beams before it runs out.

With just one beam, the dragon was killed.

However, Kent’s eyes narrowed when, a few seconds after the dragon was killed, it appeared again, this time with an even more powerful aura despite still being a demigod.

"If I didn’t know better, I would say this dragon has reached the mid-level," Kent muttered, his expression tightening as he tried to make sense of what would happen when he killed this dragon three more times.

"If the first one was an Early Demigod and this one is a Mid Demigod, then there is a chance the next would be a High Demigod and then a Peak Demigod.

Would there be a Pseudo-God and then finally God Ascension?" His heartbeat slowed down as the Soul Erasing Cannon appeared again and charged an attack.

"This is my soul sea, so using the meteors and asteroids would be a bad idea, unless I want to kill myself in the process. This means I cannot use them, and I most certainly cannot use the Finger of Destruction, Claw Art, or even the Divine Flame Armament."

Kent gestured forward, and the beam fired, killing the dragon again.

"But if my strongest attacks can’t be used, or else I risk hurting myself, then does that mean I would have to depend only on my Soul Universe? What about the Universe Breaking Fist?"

2 million km remained, and Kent could see the dragon come again. A second later, the leaf transformed into a dragon, and as he anticipated, a High Demigod appeared.

He killed it and continued to advance.

Soon, a Peak Demigod appeared. By then, Kent was 1 million km away.

Two Soul Erasing Cannons appeared and took aim. The beams were fired, and the wingless dragon was blown back instead of being pierced through.

Kent furrowed his brow. "Looks like the Soul Erasing Cannon cannot handle it that easily."

Still, they charged again and fired another beam, this time killing it.

The moment it died, Kent sensed a powerful pressure coming from the tree. He had breached the gap, now 500,000 km away.

"Hold on a minute. Why do I feel like I have overlooked something?"

His eyes narrowed as a Pseudo-God wingless dragon with blue scales and leaf-shaped pink patterns appeared and locked eyes with him.

"When the dragons appeared, I was able to move several kilometres without any hindrance. It felt like with the dragon in the air, I could move forward unhindered. However, the moment they die, a stronger version appears.

In that case, shouldn’t I have contained it when it was at the Early Demigod stage?"

Kent realised he had made a terrible mistake. By keeping the dragon alive, he would have reached the tree much faster. Now, he was up against a Pseudo-God, and he could not use his strongest attacks.

’Ahh, my bad luck...’
