Flura clearly wasn’t expecting Kent to appear here today.
When she woke up this morning, she had thought of him, and even before she started concocting the pill, he had crossed her mind once more. But never, not even for a moment, had she expected him to appear here.
Yet here he was, like a ghost stepping out of the past. And the best part was that he could actually help her. She knew that base on past interaction.
At this moment, Flura could very well be considered the happiest woman in the universe.
She and Kent had met as rivals, but that rivalry had quickly evolved into mutual respect, born from their shared love and obsession with alchemy.
So, unlike some of the women Kent had met in the Pill Worlds who had fallen deeply in love with him, Flura had not—at least not to the extent one would expect.
She liked Kent, and she would love to be with him one day.
However, her obsession with alchemy, coupled with her aspiration to someday surpass Kent, had driven her to spend the last 370,000 years learning and continuing to learn, all for this single moment.
"EHEMM."
Pill Celestial Zathoriel Prime cleared his throat and said, "The tribulation is less than one minute away, so the hugging can wait for now."
A smile appeared on his face. He was happy that he would get to witness a Pill God arise through natural ascension, and he was equally pleased to finally meet the Kent Madson he had tried several times to find but had always failed to locate.
Pill Immortal Flura quickly let go of Kent and blushed.
Kent smiled and used a finger to brush aside a few strands of hair covering the side of her face.
"Let’s handle this first. Then we can have a proper reunion."
Flura nodded.
Kent smiled before turning toward Veth, who was looking at him with sparkling eyes. She seemed incredibly happy, and that was all Kent wanted to see.
He nodded at Bryna, the dragon he had left behind to protect her, and then at Ursa, Flura’s bodyguard and friend.
Afterward, Kent turned toward Pill Celestial Zathoriel Prime and smiled.
"Thank you, Senior, for pleading on Pill Immortal Flura’s behalf. I know you can’t stay for long, so please accept my gratitude. And when we meet again, I hope we will have more time to talk and discuss matters related to alchemy."
Pill Celestial Zathoriel Prime smiled and nodded.
"I would like that, Pill Legend Kent Madson. That said, you will have to defend against three lightning bolts, each containing purification runes that will be absorbed by the pill after you successfully defend against them.
Failure to withstand all three strikes will result in your death and the destruction of the pill. So do your best to survive, kid."
Kent nodded.
"Good luck. I hope you reach the peak one day."
After saying that, Pill Celestial Zathoriel Prime teleported back onto his circular platform, and the next moment, he vanished from sight.
As a Celestial, his mere presence in the Immortal Realm was dangerous. If this had been a God World or one of the unique realms, he could have remained for as long as he wished.

The tribulation cloud churned violently as waves of terrifying pressure descended upon Kent and Flura.
Kent casually waved his hand and chaos energy surged outward and surrounded Flura, forming a protective shield around her.
Instantly, the crushing pressure bearing down on her vanished as though it had never existed.
"Wait here. I will handle the rest."
"Okay," Flura nodded.
Kent ascended into the air. When he was high enough, he sat down in a lotus position and formed a few hand seals.
Suddenly, the clothing covering his upper body vanished, revealing his well-defined physique.
The sight caused many women in the crowd to blush. However, Kent paid no attention to them, not when he intended to kill two birds with one stone.
His Lightning Element had been on the verge of a breakthrough for quite some time now. Initially, he had expected it to awaken after ascending to the Immortal Realm.
But it hadn’t.
For the past few weeks, he had been searching for a solution, trying to find a way to trigger the awakening.
He never found one.
At least, not until today.
By undergoing the baptism of the Pill Tribulation, he would finally awaken his dormant element, giving him yet another powerful force to rely upon.
RUMBLE!
Kent looked up and smiled.
"Bring it on, old friend," he muttered and the tribulation responded.
High above, the clouds split apart, and a bolt of azure-colored lightning descended toward him.
A smile appeared on Kent’s face.
Then he opened his arms wide, welcoming the deadly bolt.
"What is he doing?" Elder Zhen Kai asked, his expression turning pale as he watched the azure lightning descend upon Kent.
"This kid is insane."
Everyone held their breath, their eyes fixed on the scene as the lightning crashed into Kent’s body with a thunderous explosion.
"Kent!"
Flura called out, her fists clenched as Kent’s entire body disappeared within the chaotic sea of azure lightning.
A powerful shockwave erupted from the impact.
But as the air cleared, Kent remained seated in the same lotus position, the same smile still present on his face.
This time, however, green-red runes could be seen spreading across his skin.
The sight shocked many.
But the most shocking thing happened moments later.
The Soul Tempering Pill hovered in the air, absorbing the purification runes carried by the lightning.
Then, before everyone’s eyes, two of the Azure Pill Rings transformed into Violet Pill Rings.
The pill now possessed two Crimson Pill Rings, seven Violet Pill Rings, and eight Azure Pill Rings.
This means potency had increased once again.
That alone was enough to make many people clench their fists and swear to themselves that they would one day create a miracle of their own.
Pill Ring mutation, or Pill Ring Evolution, as it was more commonly known, was not unheard of.
However, it was incredibly rare for two rings to evolve simultaneously.
That alone demonstrated the extraordinary level of mastery that had gone into refining the Soul Tempering pill.

The tribulation cloud churned once more.
This time, violet lightning filled the sky, the tribulation churning like mad lion.
Meanwhile, Kent quickly read the notification before him and smiled.
[You have absorbed a large amount of Lightning Essence.]
[Your Chaos Lightning is awakening.]
[Time until completion: 120 seconds.]
’One hundred seconds more to go.’
He smiled and looked up.
The violet lightning would descend at any moment now, and so he prepared himself accordingly.
As expected, a few seconds later, another bolt descended from the heavens.
This time, his body was completely swallowed by a sea of violet lightning, causing gasps to spread throughout the arena.
Yet once again, Kent emerged victorious.
And this time, three Azure Pill Rings evolved into Violet Pill Rings.
But something else caught everyone’s attention.
One of the Violet Pill Rings had begun turning crimson.
Kent noticed it as well.
’No way...’
His eyes sparkled as he watched the pill slowly devour the remaining purification runes.
By the time the final rune was absorbed, the Violet Pill Ring had already transformed halfway into a Crimson Pill Ring.
This made him genuinely happy.
As someone who had accomplished the impossible countless times, Kent knew that the higher the Pill Rings, the stronger the pill became.
So he was eager to witness the birth of a third Crimson Pill Ring.
That would undoubtedly make him happy for Flura.

The tribulation cloud churned one final time.
The third and final bolt was coming.
Crimson lightning illuminated the heavens.
Kent glanced at the countdown and saw that his Lightning Element would awaken before the crimson bolt descended.
Before that, however, he silently thanked the heavens that Flura wasn’t the one facing this tribulation.
If it had been her, she would have already been on her last legs.
He sighed inwardly, then a pale smile formed on his handsome face.
Five seconds later, dark-red lightning began dancing around his body.
Thousands upon thousands of crimson lightning runes covered his skin like dragon scales.
Before his eyes, a message appeared.
[You have awakened your Chaos Lightning.]
