Chapter 1753: Revenge is best served Barbecued
[Three days after the auction]
After reuniting with Lady Wu and paying for everything he had won at the auction, Kent returned to the tower with the three ladies.
Lady Wu wanted to handle everything with her own money, but Kent refused since he wanted to fulfill a quest. Aside from that, he informed Lady Khronisia from the Blacksmith association that she should give him 5 days.
She accepted, and Kent dispatched 10 shadow fiends to protect her while he was away.
When he returned, he discovered that Liora and her team had completed their mission and had even returned with over seven million Sand Demons.
Kent was a bit shaken when he saw the millions of Sand Demons now occupying Nagaraja, one of the cities unoccupied until they came.
Gaia and her team had built it for occasions when an impromptu migration is needed, and they can’t put something up in that short a time.
To congratulate his three wives on a job well done, Kent spent a month with them inside the harem tower. His three wives had done well, so he made sure they felt appreciated.
While that was happening, Lady Wu was also getting acquainted with some of Kent’s wives and the various races inside the tower.
Every last being inside the tower sees Kent as their savior and his wives as their rulers, so they made sure she was introduced to everyone.
Kent saw that she needed time to adjust to her new life, so he didn’t move forward with officially making her his woman just yet. That time would come eventually.
After he was done spending time with Enzi, Liora, and Princess Lovina, he left the tower to handle the rescue of the slave girl, who also happened to be one of the most unreasonable people he had met during his incarnation as Fjorge, the Nine Underworld Flame Blacksmith.
It had already been three days since the auction.
The ship that the Fatty had boarded was still traveling through the space channel, traveling at an incredible speed. Kent already had a spy aboard the ship, so when he was ready, he merely willed it, and a portal appeared.
However, unlike how he could instantly teleport to the side of his wives and legions, the Shadow Fiends take some time to work.
Even so, he wasn’t in a rush, so five minutes later, inside a room aboard the ship, Kent stepped out of the portal, startling the very person he had intended to see first.
"Whoa, easy there, young lady." Kent raised both hands as the tip of a spear pressed against his throat.
"You..." She blinked several times, perhaps to make sure her eyes weren’t deceiving her. "Kent Madson?"
It turned out her eyes weren’t deceiving her at all, but she was still in disbelief.
Kent smiled and replied, "In the flesh."
His expression showed he wasn’t the least bit bothered by the spear pressed against his throat.
"Perhaps you should move the pointy thing away from my throat first."
The young lady quickly lowered her spear and apologized.
"I am sorry. I never knew Lord Deckins had invited you aboard the ship."
"Oh, he didn’t invite me. I came of my own accord," Kent grinned, seeing the stunned expression on her face. "...To kill him."
The spear rose again, but Kent grabbed it and pulled it away. The young lady was merely an Immortal King, so she was no match for Kent, who could fight gods.
"Relax, young lady. I am here to kill your master. If anything, you should be thrilled."
"I will die before I let you touch Lord Deckins!" she shouted, struggling to pull the spear back. However, Kent’s grip was firm, making her struggle futile. Even so, he could tell she genuinely wanted to kill him.
This made Kent sigh and frown slightly.
"So that is how things are, huh?"
It appeared that with the slave collar on, even if she wanted her master dead, the moment his life was threatened, she would be compelled to protect him.
Right now, all she wanted was to kill Kent and protect her master. It wasn’t even a matter of resisting the collar anymore. She simply wanted to kill Kent.
"Go to sleep, and when you wake up, you will be free."
Kent’s hand moved, and the next second, she passed out. He carried her to the nearby bed and laid her on it. Then his expression turned icy.
"Time to feel my anger, Fatty."
The Soul Map opened, and inside a dining hall, the greasy bastard was happily tearing into a chunk of meat. Kent sneered, then, with a single step, appeared inside the dining hall.
The maids serving the Fatty instantly felt something invade their minds, and they all passed out.
"Who is—"
Lord Deckins was about to shout when his gaze landed on Kent. At once, he recognized him, but the moment he saw the cold look in Kent’s eyes, panic set in, and the meat in his hand fell to the floor.
"I am going to kill you very slowly and very painfully. Now, I want you to scream as much as you like, because for the next twenty-four hours, pain beyond anything you ever thought possible will overwhelm your senses."
Kent took one step, and the chair the Fatty was sitting on shattered, sending him crashing to the floor.
The mansion trembled, and the guards stationed around rushed forward.
However, they all came to an abrupt halt when shadows materialized, forming a line of deadly Demigod-level Shadow Fiends.
None of them would be getting past this line, regardless of how powerful they were. Kent currently possessed over six hundred Shadow Fiends, the majority of them suppressed to the Demigod stage.
Inside the hall, Kent began taking measured yet relaxed steps toward the Fatty, who was now lying on the ground under overwhelming pressure.
Every step increased the pressure.
"You... what... are... what are you doing?" he asked, struggling to force the words out.
Kent looked at him coldly and replied in a tone that sounded more like a narration.
"Many warriors fought during the Flame War, and many died making sure the universe and everyone within it was protected. One of those brave warriors was the Nine Dragon Whip Goddess, Meiko.
Growing up, she was looked down upon by her peers and siblings, mainly because she had no affinity for any element and was born with low talent across all aspects of cultivation.
However, she never gave up on her dreams. She believed that with enough effort, she could accomplish them.
And she did.
Her dreams came true, and she went on to become one of the greatest warriors to walk the face of this universe.
Do you know that before she died, she made sure an entire galaxy of people was protected? The universe itself bestowed upon her a True Name and reincarnated her soul.
So, for you to dare question me about what I am doing... do you really expect me to answer that?"
Kent now stood a meter away from the Fatty, whose bones had already shattered and whose face had turned deathly pale.
"What... what do you mean?" he asked, still struggling to speak, let alone stand.
Hearing the question, Kent smiled and slowly shook his head.
"You dared to enslave a hero whose sacrifice helped save this universe. So, as your punishment, I am going to slowly and painfully roast you with the Umbral Flame of Oblivion.
Be grateful, for this flame is only a spark of its true glory."
Black flames ignited in Kent’s palm.
Then he sent them toward the Fatty, engulfing him instantly.
"AAAARRRGGGHHHHH!"
His screams filled the hall, echoed throughout the ship, and even escaped into the space channel.
Kent pulled over a chair and sat down. Then, drawing upon his extensive mastery of flame control, he began manipulating the Umbral Flame of Oblivion to burn the areas he knew would produce the greatest agony.
