Chapter 1762: Chaos Chasm
"What just happened?" Vexthra asked, her expression pale as she stared at the thirteen moons in the sky. They used to be brighter, but now they seem rather pale and dim.
The rest of her sisters wore the same look, the same question on their minds. Just now, their connection to Kent was severed.
"Kent...he," Elina muttered, but before she could add the rest of her statement, Pandora stopped her.
"He is fine."
Her sisters turned to look at her, silently asking for more context.
"You all told me Kent is connected to the Tower at the soul level, and because of that, we can also connect with the Tower and with each other. Just now, when the connection with him was severed, we only felt our own connection severed for a moment before it was restored.
"This means he is still alive, and the Tower is still intact. It may be that wherever he is, the laws are preventing us from reaching him, making it appear as though he is dead.
"If he were truly dead, the Tower wouldn’t still be intact, and all of us would have been ejected by now."
"Lady Pandora is right. Master is still alive," Tower suddenly appeared in her small, angelic form, reassuring the ladies. "I don’t know where he is right now, but I can still feel my connection to him. His soul is still empowering me"
The ladies finally sighed in relief. However, Vexthra, who at that moment was close to reverting to her Divinity, which would have unleashed her Hatred and Resentment, asked, "What caused this?"
Tower simply waved her hand, and a projection of the Blood Ancestor appeared.
"Master called him the Blood Ancestor. He is a member of the Soul Temple and one of Master’s enemies from the Divine Era. He is a Primordial, and according to Master, he is unkillable."
"For now," Pandora said, her eyes narrowing.
"Master said you all should stay put. He doesn’t want any of you going after this person, so for now, we can only wait for him to return."
Tower had personally sensed the power within the Blood Ancestor, so she knew exactly what kind of monster he was. She didn’t want her master’s wives putting themselves in danger while he was away.
Suddenly, portals opened, and over four hundred shadow fiends appeared inside the Garden alongside Kent’s three Soul Warriors.
Seeing their master’s wives worried, they all sighed and joined them. They would have to obey their master’s orders and stay put for now. Once he returned, they would decide what to do next.

Meanwhile, back in space, where debris from the ship still drifted, the Blood Ancestor, whose real name was Gehan, looked stunned, his grip on his blood sword tightening.
"Damn it. He escaped," he gritted his teeth, shocked that even after becoming a Primordial four eras ago, he had failed to stop a mere Immortal from escaping his grasp.
He could tell Kent had sacrificed a lot to escape, but even so, he felt defeated that he had managed to slip away from him. That was simply too insulting.
"I will get my hands on you one day, Genesis. Just you wait. I will find you eventually."
He gritted his teeth once more before opening his special void portal and vanishing into it, the portal closing behind him.
A few minutes after he left, a figure clad in plain clothes and holding a folding fan appeared like a ghost. The person carried no aura whatsoever, nor did they use the void to move. However, a single glance was enough to tell that he possessed unfathomable power.
He waved his fan, and instantly, as though time itself had reversed, projections of the events from when Kent was blasted out of the space channel appeared before him.
The man calmly watched every scene unfold, all the way to the final moment, when Kent dug out his Chaos Heart and shattered it, creating an overwhelming shockwave and opening a portal.
He paused when the portal appeared and enlarged the projection.
"A Chaos Portal..." he murmured. "So he is back, huh?"
A smile formed on his face, but when the scene showed Kent vanishing into the Chaos Portal, a frown replaced it. He pressed his index finger against his forehead, and his eyes emitted a faint brown glow.
For a moment, his consciousness spread across nearly half the universe, yet he found nothing.
"Strange. Usually, the Chaos Portal takes him somewhere safe within this universe. So why isn’t he here?" he muttered.
He continued searching for a while longer, but when nothing turned up, he let out a sigh and stopped.
"He’ll be fine," he murmured before vanishing just as silently as he had appeared.
If Kent had been there to see this man, his eyes would have widened in shock.
During the Primordial Era, when he had grown fed up with how the clans on Planet Lumen were treating the people, he chose to venture into the Abyss to train and become strong enough to oppose them.
It was there that he met the man he came to know as Leviathan.
Leviathan was the one who had set Chaos upon the path that eventually led him to become the Primordial Chaos Dragon. Years later, after Kent had reached the pinnacle of his strength, Leviathan visited him once more, this time to bid him farewell.
He had planned to venture into the Primordial Chaos to see if he could ascend beyond the limits of his current power.
That was the last time they met.
Now, it seemed he had finally returned after spending who knows how long there, searching for his old friend and perhaps his unofficial disciple.
Unfortunately, he had arrived a few minutes too late.

Kent slowly opened his eyes, his entire body aching as though he had been struck by a speeding truck.
The first thing he saw, when his vision had barely cleared, was a system message floating before him.
[Your Chaos Heart has been destroyed.]
He swiped the message away before slowly pushing himself into a sitting position. His entire body still throbbed with pain, and his face was deathly pale.
"That was close," he muttered, his mind drifting back to his encounter with the Blood Ancestor.
He had come within a hair’s breadth of death.
Frankly, he knew his chances of escaping had been no more than two percent, yet he had still chosen to gamble.
If he had summoned Pandora, things could have ended disastrously, but also differently.
Although Pandora was unimaginably powerful, the Blood Ancestor exuded a level of danger that surpassed even hers.
He wouldn’t have needed to shatter his Chaos Heart had Pandora come to rescue him, but doing so would have forced his wife to stake her own life on the line.
That was something he had no intention of allowing.
"Well... she’d be furious if she found out I’ve underestimated her," he said with a faint smile.
He then inspected his body.
When his gaze landed on the gaping hole in his chest, he let out a weary sigh.
Gathering his energy, he attempted to heal the wound.
The very next second, however, his eyes flew open.
"Huh? What happened to my cores?"
His eyes widened even further when he realized he could no longer sense them.
His two Flame Cores, two Blood Cores, and Evil Core all seemed to have been sealed away.
Even more alarming, his Chaos Heart was truly gone.
He had shattered it just as Chaos had done during the Primordial Era to escape from enemies, which ultimately led him to the forsaken seer.
The difference was that Chaos had possessed three Chaos Hearts when he destroyed one. Destroying one had still left him with two others.
Kent, however, only possessed a single Chaos Heart.
Now that it was gone and his remaining cores had somehow been sealed, an overwhelming sense of danger washed over him.
"Tower... are you there?" Kent called.
No response came.
An even colder realization struck him.
He was sitting inside a completely sealed room where not even a breath of air could enter.
Suddenly, messages appeared before him...
