Chapter 1781: Overpowered Techniques (2)
When Kent asked Fiannarel how far she had advanced on the path of the Obsidian Chaos Dragon Physique, she said the third form, the Obsidian Dragon Core.
He wanted to laugh and say she was rather slow after spending billions of years cultivating one technique.
However, when Tower informed him he only needed to cultivate the Undying Obsidian Skin to 25% completion, he finally understood the kind of monstrous technique he was about to cultivate.
Now, if he learned that aside from 25% mastery of the Undying Obsidian Body, he would also have to cultivate two more stages after fully cultivating the Undying Obsidian Body, he would probably cry.
When he was done with the Undying Obsidian Body, which is the peak for everyone, he would have to go on to cultivate the Undying Golden Body and, lastly, the Undying Immortal Body before he could count himself as someone who was done cultivating the first form of the Obsidian Chaos Dragon Physique, the Obsidian Skin.
He still had a long way to go...
But first, he had to endure the pressure from the Undying Obsidian Furnace...
"If he fails to endure the awakening of the Undying Obsidian Furnace, it means he cannot cultivate the Obsidian Chaos Dragon Physique," Veylan Seren said, causing the tribe leaders to wish deep in their hearts that Kent would succeed.
Kent remained inside the strange space for hours, the Undying Obsidian Furnace much closer to the ground now. However, he was totally at the mercy of the pressure.
Luckily, just when he was at his wits’ end, the Undying Obsidian Furnace touched the ground, and the pressure vanished.
HUMMMMM
A loud hum came from it, and then a spirit figure clad in tattered monk attire appeared in the air and formed a couple of hand seals. Suddenly, the side of the Undying Obsidian Furnace opened, and he spoke.
"The path forward is through fire and refinement. You must undergo extreme refinement to be able to attain the legendary Undying Immortal Body. It is a path forward, not backward, so walk it without looking back."
WHOOOSH
From the door that had opened on the side of the Undying Obsidian Furnace, Kent saw green flames wash out, causing his body to tremble.
Tower said, perhaps misinterpreting Kent’s fear as hesitation."> <I believe the master should enter the door,> Tower said, perhaps misinterpreting Kent’s fear as hesitation.
He rose to his feet and answered, "I know, Tower. Just give me a few minutes to gather my thoughts." Kent took a deep breath, and then he exhaled.
Afterward, he started walking toward the door. After a few steps, he stood before the gate. Then, with a sigh, he walked inside, and the door shut behind him.
"ARRRRRRGGGGHHHHH"
Kent let out a thunderous shout the moment he stepped into the Undying Obsidian Furnace. On the outside, green flames engulfed his body, eating away at his clothes and bathing him in a sea of flames.
Fiannarel panicked, but she recalled what Kent had said before entering.
He made it clear that once he begins his cultivation, she cannot interrupt him, no matter what happens. She clenched her fist and started paying attention to him for now.
A few minutes into his cultivation, everyone felt an overwhelming amount of Divine Qi start to come out of his body...
"Looks like he had comprehended Divine Qi. What a monster," Parand said, looking at Kent with interest. The rest of the Eternals wore the same expression as her, all of them impressed.
However, their impressed looks soon turned to shock when Supreme Qi began to flow from Kent’s body. What was even more shocking was the density of the Supreme Qi around him.
"Holy moly, this is unreal," Zdzislav, who could see more than everyone else, shouted, his gaze locked on Kent, whose presence was now surrounded by thick Supreme Qi.
"What in the name of the Chaos Ascension King is happening right now?" Namarie exclaimed, unable to understand why Kent was releasing Supreme Qi.
Fiannarel smiled. "Somehow, I think my little brother is comprehending the various energies that lead up to Eternal Qi."
"Was that something he was capable of in the past?" Borislav asked, but Fiannarel shook her head.
"No. However, what you all have to know is, if before he was a monster, then now, even I don’t know what he has become. But I know this, he is not done yet, so I would advise you all to do as he advised me."
"And that is?" Parand asked.
"Keep an open mind."
Just when she said that, everyone’s eyes narrowed when, between the release of the Divine Qi and the Supreme Qi, Celestial Qi started to fill the air.
It came faintly at first, but as time passed, it grew denser. In less than a month, the Celestial Qi around Kent grew so dense that even Celestial Kings would struggle beneath it.
Five months later, the amount of Divine Qi, Supreme Qi, and Celestial Qi around Kent grew so potent that it became visible to the naked eye. The Divine Qi appeared silver, the Supreme Qi blue, and the Celestial Qi yellow.
It had also become so powerful that even the Eternals could sense the power hidden within.
However, a year into his cultivation, 21 years since he had started, something else began to happen. Just when everyone thought he could not move on to Primordial Qi, something else happened.
His other energies, mainly his Chaos Qi, Blood Qi, and Evil Qi, surged, and a mutation began to form, instantly filling the space around him with power.
The moment the energy appeared, the Eternals sensed something extremely powerful coming from the heavens and covering Kent in a beam of light.
At once, everyone lost sight of Kent. The beam that fell upon him blocked their senses.
However, they knew he wasn’t in danger, not when they could still sense his mutating energies.
Meanwhile, seated within the light, Kent remained submerged in the flames, his body being refined by the Undying Obsidian Furnace.
The beam remained for three years. However, during those three years, many things happened to Kent, including his Sword Energy finally reaching the rank of Extreme Divine Sword Energy.
On this day, after spending five years inside the Undying Obsidian Furnace, a powerful explosion of energy so foreign and lethal that, for the first time, the Eternals had to use their energy to shield themselves erupted from Kent.
BOOM BOOM BOOM
Three more explosions came from his body, and then the light shrouding him dispersed, revealing Kent seated in a lotus posture.
However, regardless of how one looked at it, the Kent seated there now wasn’t the same Kent they had known five years ago. He was still Kent, but with a body that was beyond anything and anyone.
"He-He had completed the Undying Obsidian Body Tempering in just five years," Veylan Seren shouted, his voice startling everyone.
They were soon left in shock after fully digesting what Veylan Seren had said.
"You can’t be serious, right?" Tumenk asked, his gaze fixed on Kent, but his words directed at Veylan Seren. "The last I checked, the fastest anyone from your tribe ever cultivated the Undying Obsidian Body was 30,000 years, and that was a very long time ago.
Are you saying this kid, who isn’t even a god yet, used just five years to cultivate that?"
Veylan Seren turned and looked at Tumenk. "I don’t know what you want to hear, but he did indeed cultivate it. I know because I can feel it."
"Veylan Seren is right, the kid had fully cultivated the Undying Obsidian Body," Zdzislav said, adding to the tense atmosphere.
