Chapter 1787: Overpowered Techniques (8)

"He is about to cultivate the Primordial Abyss Chaos Heart Art," Tumenk, the leader of the Primordial Abyss Chaos Tribe, said, a smile appearing on his face.

It had been a while since something had excited powerful beings such as the seven gathered here. However, now, watching Kent create one miracle after another, they couldn’t help but look forward to what he would accomplish next.

Of course, Tumenk wanted to see what Kent would achieve with the Primordial Abyss Chaos Heart Art. Unlike the other techniques, this one was meant to strengthen, expand, and evolve the Chaos Heart.

His tribe was the strongest simply because of their robust Chaos Hearts and boundless energy. They had more energy to pour into their attacks, making them much more likely to outlast their opponents and win battles.

Now, Kent had begun cultivating it.

"I expect great things, kid," he muttered and began to wait.

Meanwhile, Kent found himself in the middle of a storm. He stood atop a mountain that hung just beneath the storm clouds.

"Holy mother of—"

Before he could finish his words, a deadly bolt tore through the storm clouds and struck his chest, sending him crashing onto his butt.

For a moment, his vision turned blurry, and he could swear he saw his wives reaching for his hand. However, the next second, messages appeared, causing his eyes to widen.

"> <You have absorbed a large amount of Chaos Essence>

<Welcome to the Grim Star Chaos Storm. You will be bombarded with Chaos-infused lightning endlessly. The more you absorb, the stronger your Chaos Heart becomes. Endure the first Star Bombardment to evolve your Chaos Heart to the First Star Cycle.

"> Endure the second, and the cycle continues until you can’t endure anymore or have completed all Seven Star Cycles before you can proceed to the next stage.>

RUMBLE!

Another lightning bolt tore through the clouds, and just like before, it struck his chest, causing Kent to scream in pain. He endured, but the merciless storm and lightning hadn’t even begun their true bombardment yet.

In fact, the power behind the attacks seemed to increase with every bolt he endured.

’At this rate, I will have to tap out in a couple of hours,’ Kent thought to himself.

Yet a week later, he remained where he was, his body crawling with lightning.

’I am still here, I guess.’

He smiled and welcomed more torture.

On the outside, no new changes occurred even after a month had passed since he began cultivating the Primordial Abyss Chaos Heart Art.

The first few weeks had been eventful for the seven leaders. They kept discussing the achievements Kent had so easily accumulated over the past couple of years.

However, as time passed and no new changes occurred, they started to grow worried, especially Tumenk, whose cultivation method Kent had begun.

Perhaps because Kent always seemed to create a miracle whenever he cultivated one of the other techniques, they had all been looking forward to seeing him do it again this time as well.

However, even after two months without any signs of progress, they began to wonder whether something had happened to him.

"Relax, everyone. The mere fact that he hasn’t come out yet shows he has perhaps encountered something extraordinary, and it is taking some time to handle it," Fiannarel said, calming them down a bit.

Of course, she was also worried, but she knew Kent wasn’t as simple as one would think, so she didn’t let her concern show on her face like the others did.

Three months soon passed, but nothing else changed.

Now, they were genuinely worried.

Seven months later, they all jumped to their feet, their expressions narrowing as they looked at Kent, who now had a faint aura surrounding him. Tumenk, in particular, unconsciously stepped forward, almost as if he couldn’t see clearly from where he stood.

For a few minutes, nothing else happened. However, just when they were about to sigh and attribute everything to their imagination, a powerful explosion of energy erupted from Kent’s body, and then...

BUZZZZZ!

A circular diagram made of golden metallic materialized behind Kent, and seven white Star Orbs hung within the ring, oozing such overwhelming power that Tumenk instinctively shielded himself, and the others did the same.

But things didn’t end there.

Just when the first ring appeared, the second also buzzed into existence, much larger than the first, yet also containing seven Star Orbs within it.

BUZZZ!

The third appeared, circling around both the first and second rings, creating a three-layered cultivation diagram that left Tumenk and everyone else looking pale.

"This can’t actually be the infamous Seven-Star Cycle Evolution Diagram, right?" Parand asked, looking back at Tumenk, who seemed pale beyond measure.

He was excited, stunned, and, most importantly, conflicted.

His conflict wasn’t that he didn’t know what to do about Kent. It was more like he couldn’t tell whether Kent was indeed the reincarnation of the Chaos Ascension King.

It had merely been a thought at first, but as time passed and Kent kept accomplishing one mind-bending feat after another, the thought that he might actually be the Chaos Ascension King started to take root in their minds.

Now, he had done it again, and so Tumenk was torn on what to do.

"Tumenk, is this really the Seven-Star Cycle Evolution Diagram?"

Tumenk turned and looked at the other Eternals before nodding. He then summoned his own Star Cycle Evolution Diagram, but it had only one layer with five yellow Star Orbs, unlike the white ones behind Kent.

More importantly, Tumenk’s single diagram possessed far more power than all three of Kent’s combined.

"He has, without a doubt, awakened the Grim Star Chaos Storm and endured seven agonizing Star Cycles... no, twenty-one Star Cycles, considering he has three Chaos Hearts.

"You have to understand that before one can begin Abyss Tempering, one must first evolve the Chaos Heart through what we call Star Cycle Evolution. At the first stage of the Primordial Abyss Chaos Heart Art, each completed Star Cycle makes the Chaos Heart ten times stronger and larger.

"This means I have attained a fiftyfold expansion after completing the Five-Star Cycle Evolution. This kid, however, has completed twenty-one Star Cycles, meaning each of his three Chaos Hearts are now each seventy times larger and stronger than before."

"But to fully cultivate the first form of the Primordial Abyss Chaos Heart Art, he must firmly connect all three Chaos Hearts to the Abyss, thereby forming the Seed of the Abyss. It is that seed which will continuously empower his Chaos Hearts with the Abyss itself, allowing him to wield the most dreadful form of Chaos Energy—the Abyssal Chaos Energy."

The seven tribe leaders and Fiannarel looked at Kent, and for a moment, they wondered whether giving him their cultivation techniques had truly been the right decision.

After all, where Kent came from, the most powerful beings were the Primordials. However, if what these seven techniques were turning him into was any indication, then by the time he attained godhood, not even a Celestial would survive a single attack from him.

This begged the question... what was he training for?

More importantly, was this fate at work, or was it all Kent’s own doing?

Those questions remained unanswered for now.

But one thing was certain.

Kent wasn’t here by accident.

And whatever he had come here to accomplish, when he returned to his own universe, the answer would become clear to him.
