Chapter 1799: The Dark War (1)

Chapter 1799: The Dark War (1)

[Infinity Universe - Somewhere in the Supreme Realm]

Just like how there are five galaxies in the Immortal Realm and the God Realm, the same structure can be found in the Supreme Realm.

However, compared to the number of planets contained in each galaxy in the Immortal Realm or the God Realm, the Supreme Realm is still lacking.

The supreme realm has a smaller number of planets compared to the god realm.

However, a planet in the Supreme Realm is large enough to fit dozens of planets in the Immortal Realm or even the God Realm.

These planets are filled with Supreme Qi, and most importantly, the Laws and Dao can be felt more closely here, especially the Heavenly Laws.

If a god were to live in any of the Supreme Worlds, their progress in comprehending the Laws would be much faster than that of gods in the God Realm.

This is why gods in the Supreme Realm are much stronger than those in the God Realm.

Today, in the Western Supreme Galaxy, on a planet declared by the Jian Great Family as off-limits to anyone, a portal opened, and a young man clad in a black cloak with flowing purple hair streaked with golden and red strands walked out, munching on an apple.

Well, it looks like an apple, but it contains Origin Dao, the same Dao that Pseudo-Primordials and Primordials alike would kill to even smell.

This young man, of course, is Kent.

He had finally handled everything there was to handle inside the Chaos Chasm and decided to come handle the threat of the Dark Empress before anything else.

The moment he stepped out, a powerful pressure came from the heavens and pressed down on him. Kent lifted his head and saw that, up in the clouds, a Supreme formation had activated, probably to prevent others from entering this planet.

Somehow, he had entered, and so it was now acting against him.

He smirked and lifted his left index finger, pointing it upward. A red lightning bolt formed at the tip of his finger, then with a deadly shot, he landed a clean hit on the core of the formation, shattering it in an instant.

Normally, a Supreme formation with close to a hundred layers of arrays is extremely difficult to tamper with, let alone shatter its core.

However, with a mere glance, Kent spotted the core and destroyed it as if it weren’t a big deal.

"As expected, humans are aiding the Dark Queen," Kent muttered coldly, examining some of the runes raining down from the heavens. "Hmm, when I am done with the Dark Empress, I will be sure to visit all of you and wipe every last one of you off the face of this universe."

His killing intent seeped out, causing the surrounding green grass to wilt.

His gaze narrowed, and then a frown appeared on his face...

"Who is that?" Kent raised his gaze, where an old man clad in a simple red robe appeared, holding a walking stick.

He looked simple on the surface, but with his keen perception, Kent could tell this man was deadly...

He is a Supreme King with an extremely deep understanding of the Flame Dao, from what Kent could see, at least. Kent wasn’t intimidated by his overflowing aura. Even if he turns out to be a Celestial, he wouldn’t flinch.

While this is a Supreme World, Celestials can roam freely here, unlike in the Immortal Realm, where they would be suppressed.

The only downside is replenishing their essence. They would have to convert Supreme Qi into Celestial Qi, which takes a lot of time.

But they can roam freely, and right now, a Supreme King had appeared here when Kent hadn’t even met the main target he came here to kill.

The man looked directly at him and asked, "Little man, I believe this place is off-limits to others, so why don’t you turn around and leave before you find yourself in trouble you cannot walk away from?"

His voice was calm, a bit too calm for someone who was supposed to be angry or even wary, considering someone had broken into a planet nobody, aside from perhaps him and a few others, should know about.

This told Kent what he needed to know.

His Omniscient Dao Eyes appraised the man, and his name was revealed to him...

"So you are from the Jian Great Family, huh, old man? Or do you prefer I call you Li Jian?"

Kent’s words changed the old man’s expression. However, Kent’s next words caused his aura to rise into the air, spreading across the planet...

"It appears your Jian Family has been hiding and aiding the Dark Empress, huh?"

The moment Li Jian’s aura erupted, Kent sensed millions of auras coming from a place far from where they were. This made him smile, and he took a bite out of his apple.

"You know what, I never expected sane people to shield such a terror and abomination. I mean, she and her people killed billions during the Dark Era, and they are going to kill billions more. Even if you are rotten at heart, aiding such a creature should be the last thing you would do.

But I guess, while some seek to save the universe, others want to destroy it. In that case, I will destroy you and everything you hold dear."

Li Jian’s aura had, at this moment, spread everywhere, pressing down on Kent, who stood calm, his expression still plain, almost as if he wasn’t under the suppression of a Supreme King.

"Kid, I don’t know where you get your confidence from, but I will kill you and make sure not even your soul makes it to the underworld."

"Is that so?" Kent smirked.

Then he raised his right index finger again and drew a thick line in the air. A few seconds later, divine essence started to surge from it.

Li Jian’s expression darkened, and he grew pale when he sensed a very deep, dense Divine Qi beginning to flow from the line Kent had drawn.

Realizing he might have looked down on Kent, he extended his walking stick, which transformed into a spear. He channeled Supreme Qi into it, then charged forward, arriving before Kent in an instant.

"DIE!"

He stabbed his spear at Kent, causing the very space around them to crack and collapse on itself. The pressure behind the spear was so terrifying that before it even reached Kent, the space behind him collapsed, exposing the void.

Yet despite this danger, Kent merely smiled. Then, using his thumb and index finger, he touched the line he had drawn, which wrapped itself around his index finger.

Then, with a simple gesture, he pointed his index finger forward, meeting the spear in what could be considered the most effortless collision in the history of cultivation.

The spear stopped at the tip of his index finger, and the shockwave that followed blasted the space around them, causing Kent’s hair to billow in the air.

A smirk formed on his face. Then, with a fluid motion, he bit into the apple and munched on it.

"You know, I hate it when people look down on me, old man. For your punishment..."

Kent’s eyes flashed red, then a beam shot out, and two holes appeared in Li Jian’s forehead.

His body was blasted backward, and for a moment, he lost his senses, failing to register what had just happened. But that moment of delay was all Kent needed to end his life.
