Chapter 1805: The Dark War (7)
"Legion Call."
This command was first spoken during the Primordial Era by the Primordial Chaos Dragon in the last moments of his life, when the Great War had entered its final phase, where victory and defeat hung in the balance.
This simple command reached into the distant future, summoning the 13 legions, each led by powerful warriors.
Today, Kent spoke those same words again, but compared to the Primordial Era, the results this time were disappointing.
Regardless, since he wasn’t summoning their future selves, Kent didn’t mind seeing these much weaker versions of the once glorious legions that brought the Void Beasts to their knee.
The first portal allowed the Eternal Wrath Legion to march onto the battlefield, now numbering over 45, with Gods and Supremes among them. There were even five Celestials, with the Ant King, the one he defeated in the Planet Killer Dungeon, being one of them.
It appeared the other dungeons he had unlocked were being cleared diligently by his legion in his absence. The weakest among them was an Immortal Lord, and she was Ankaara, the Ice Elemental, whom he planned to get revenge on soon.
Then, from the second portal, his Beast Legion, led by Yukiko, who is a Pseudo-Primordial, and a few others that had returned with him from the Star Realm.
The majority of them were, of course, the beasts he had tamed while inside the Forbidden Zone back when he ventured into the Star Realm.
But aside from them, one portal, which looked different from the first two, carried his Shadow Fiends, many of whom were already Gods and Supremes now that Kent had become a Demigod.
Their growth relies heavily on Kent’s growth. So he wasn’t so surprised to see some of them already Supreme.
Then, of course, his wives also came, led by Pandora, whose cultivation was suppressed by the Tower to the Pseudo-Primordial stage just so she could fight as well.
The moment they appeared, another portal opened, and Fiannarel, alongside the Seven Blood Warriors, formerly the Seven Tribe Leaders, now oozing the power of Celestials, also walked out.
In no time, Kent was surrounded by people he could count on.
He contemplated summoning the Undead Legion and the Night Riders, but he held himself back.
He could see they were in the middle of something equally important, so he chose to allow them to be. The battle wasn’t over yet, so the moment they became free, he would summon them over.
Of the people who came, Uncle Drake, or as he used to be called, the Flame Dragon King, also appeared eager to fight and put an end to the Dark Era for good this time.
"Little Brother, are you okay?" Fiannarel said, touching Kent’s forehead as if taking his temperature.
Kent just smiled and took her hand. "I am fine, Big Sister."
He turned toward his wives, who had already prepared to handle the battle first before the reunion. Seeing him holding someone else’s hand, the idea that they would be getting a new sister crossed their minds.
But then Kent spoke, and they all became extremely happy. "You all wanted to meet a sibling of mine. Well, here you go, this is my big sister, Fiannarel."
"Big Sister, these are my wives,"
Fiannarel’s eyes sparkled as she saw so many beautiful and powerful women, each one Kent’s wife. For a moment, she doubted he was telling the truth, but when she saw them smile and rush toward him, she became even happier.
Soon, the ladies surrounded her and started hugging her. She was happy to meet her baby brother’s wives, and they were happy to finally meet Kent’s sister.
Unfortunately for them, they were in the middle of a very dangerous battle, making it impossible to catch up properly. They would have to wait until they returned to the Tower.
Kent lifted his head and looked at the Spider Dark Queen, who wore an amused expression.
"If this is your reinforcement, then prepare to die, dragon."
As she said that, five Dark Queens appeared in the air beside her, and following them were millions of Dark Fiends. The atmosphere soon became shrouded in danger, casting an imposing shadow over the planet.
It appears the Dark Empress had sensed that she could no longer escape the planet, so she knew she had to go all out. Killing Kent was the only way out for her.
Unfortunately for her, Kent wasn’t done.
"You know, during the Dark Era, I planned to kill every last one of you, but I was fighting two battles at the same time, so I allowed you to live."
As he spoke, he formed a hand seal, and a purple runic circle appeared on the ground.
"The Dark Creatures came with an overwhelming number of warriors, ten times greater than what you have now. However, as the saying goes, the bigger they come, the harder they fall..."
He laughed, then snapped his fingers, manifesting a large, imposing coffin.
The moment the coffin appeared, a terrifying evil presence shrouded the planet, making everyone feel a sense of danger. Pandora, the Evil Queen, narrowed her eyes at the coffin, and for a moment, she trembled.
’He is about to summon another Grand Shaman, huh?’
Indeed, Kent was planning to summon another Grand Shaman after receiving the second Evil Key. He could have summoned him back in the Chaos Chasm, but because he wasn’t in his own universe, the process had to be delayed.
Now, there was nothing stopping him...
"Hear my call, oh mighty Grand Shaman Vorgun’Azhrael. ’Tis I, the Prince of Evil. Heed my summons and rise forth from thy eternal slumber, for your evil is needed and your mischief is being called upon. Rise, O great Vorgun’Azhrael."
The coffin trembled, releasing even more evil qi. Then, suddenly, through the thick, insidious atmosphere of evil, an unsettling cackle spread, causing even Kent to feel goosebumps.
"Kekekekekeke... Little Brother, you sure know when to awaken an old, ancient evil from a pleasant dream."
The lid of the coffin slid to the side, and from within, a figure rose to his feet in the most eerie way possible.
The second Grand Shaman appeared in his human form, but everyone gathered trembled when their gaze fell upon him.
He had pale ivory skin, a long, elegant face, a sharp jawline, high cheekbones, thin black lips, and a cold, emotionless expression.
His eyes were completely black, with silver pupils resembling dark, evil galaxies. He had waist-length silver-white hair, and he stood 7’4" tall with a lean, muscular physique.
But as if that wasn’t eerie enough, he wore an elegant layered robe made from spirit silk, funeral cloth, and abyssal fabric in shades of black, white, silver, and dark violet.
Millions of tiny soul runes moved across the robe like living creatures.
He turned to Kent and smiled. Kent also smiled back.
"Welcome to the Infinity Universe, Big Brother Vorgun."
In this vast universe, only Kent would call an Ancient Evil "Big Brother." However, as someone who had lived with all 24 Grand Shamans for years, he had no fear of him.
"Oh, little Ruthless Evil, you have no idea how happy I am to finally be awake."
His gaze swept across the Dark Fiends and the Jian Family, and for a moment, he licked his lips, causing them to tremble.
Vorgun was a Peak Celestial Supreme, but as an Ancient Evil, his mere presence commanded fear.
"And it appears you have prepared a fine feast for me as well."
Kent grinned and nodded.
"Feast on their souls, Big Brother. You have been asleep for far too long."
"In that case..."
He extended his hand, and Azgorath, the Soul Reaper Staff, appeared in his firm grip.
