Chapter 1813: The Dark War (15)

The Sixty-Six Hammer Art was a technique Fjorge created during the Flame Era.

He named it the Sixty-Six Hammer Art because, in his mind, that was how far he planned to master the technique. However, even up to the point he died, he hadn’t mastered half of it.

It wasn’t because he wasn’t serious enough or that he lacked the comprehension speed to master a technique he had created himself. It was because, despite being a Barbarian and a blacksmith, his body still wasn’t strong enough to handle even the 23rd Hammer.

His peak was the 22nd Hammer. Even then, he could only use it once with a 48-hour cooldown.

Kent knew he himself wasn’t strong enough to unleash the 66th Hammer. However, his body was strong enough to unleash a much better form of it, the Sixty-Six Hammer Art - the First Hammer.

As the giant hammer split the clouds and descended, the entire planet trembled.

[Master, isn’t this a bit too much even for you?]

Tower chuckled, causing Kent to smirk. Indeed, he had gone overboard. Perhaps he was fed up with using the Pseudo-Primordials as training dummies, so he chose to kill them.

But instead of using Flame Qi alone to harness the power of the Sixty-Six Hammer Art, he used all his energies. He tapped into 5% of each energy - Chaos Qi, Abyssal Qi, Evil Qi, Blood Qi, Ice Qi, Flame Qi, and Lightning Qi.

But as if that wasn’t enough, he used 20,000 Blood Runes to augment it and even harnessed 5 Blood Death Tattoos.

The first layer of defense that the three Pseudo-Primordial Dark Fiends had activated crumbled even before the hammer was fully out of the clouds.

By the time it closed the 100 meters between them, only one defense remained.

They all ignited their Celestial Cores, burning their energy to reinforce their shields.

In the end, they defended against the First Hammer at the expense of their energy and several broken bones.

Kent grinned and looked at the hammer in his hand. "Mjonir would have shattered every bone in their bodies." He missed his hammer, the one he had used during the Flame Era.

Regardless, he wasn’t done yet.

He raised the hammer into the air again, causing the clouds to gather once more. From within, the silhouettes of two gigantic hammerheads appeared, doubling the pressure the First Hammer brought.

"Taste my Second Hammer."

With a deadly swing, two large hammers broke through the clouds, first sending out two deadly arcs. The three Pseudo-Primordials turned pale, their bodies tense as the two hammers descended.

The Dark Empress, who was still being suppressed by the tower within a 100-meter radius, wore the same expression.

But in the end, they all survived the Second Hammer, showing the kind of powerhouses they were. But as if to mock their achievement, the Third Hammer descended, and they all crashed to their knees.

The Fourth Hammer sent them all lying on the ground, and by the time the Fifth Hammer came, all three Pseudo-Primordials were left broken.

Kent didn’t waste any time and quickly moved in for the kill, knowing that if he missed his chance now, he might regret it.

He turned into a blur, and before the three Pseudo-Primordials could read his movement, he was already before them with his sword raised. Gaap had turned back into his sword form.

Kent unleashed a wide swing, aiming for all three of them.

However, just when his sword was mere inches away, a crimson light so powerful came out of nowhere and crashed into his sword.

Gaap flew out of Kent’s hands, flying several kilometers away.

Kent himself was sent flying several meters back, his gaze narrowing at the sudden source of the attack. All around, the crimson light that slammed into his sword shattered the void, sending void shards flying everywhere.

Many Dark Fiends died from them, and even two members of the Eternal Wrath Legion weren’t lucky either. The shards claimed their lives, sending their souls back to the last floor of the dungeons they had come from.

They would be reborn with their strength intact, but for now, they were out of the battle.

Kent slammed into a Supreme-level Dark Fiend before coming to a halt.

But before he could steady himself, his sixth sense told him to move forward, and he did.

Just then, a hand dripping with blood burst out from the void, aiming for his throat. If he had been a split second slower, his neck would have ended up in those deadly hands.

"Genesis, so you are still alive, huh?" Blood Ancestor’s voice came from the void, followed by a loud shatter, splitting the void open.

From the crimson door that had opened, the familiar figure of the Blood Ancestor stepped out with a grin tugging at the corner of his lips.

"Killing me isn’t as simple as forcing me to jump into a Chaos Portal. But indeed, I am still alive, and as you can see, I am in the middle of something, so step aside and let me finish first. You can use that time to come to terms with your impending death."

Kent moved, tapping into his Void Storm Domain to teleport away, completely ignoring the killing intent surrounding him. Blood Ancestor, who never saw this sudden exit coming, was taken aback.

However, he also moved, only to find himself face-to-face with Han, standing on a sword as though he were some kind of sword sage.

It appeared it had taken him just 15 minutes to kill all 25 Celestials he had rendered mortal using his Eternal Karmic Sword Domain.

They stood no chance against him to begin with. So the battle ended, and now he had blocked the path of a Primordial who had come with only one motive: to kill Kent, who happened to be the reincarnation of his old-time nemesis, Lord Genesis.

The first time they met, Kent pulled a fast one and escaped, failing to kill him. Now, he had come again after sensing Kent unleash his Sword Realm once more.

Of course, this time Kent didn’t run, but he also failed to land a killing blow with his first attack.

He was a Primordial, so fighting using Origin Qi wasn’t something he could afford for long. That one attack was a sure-kill move, but he missed.

So Han blocking his path wasn’t something he planned to take lying down.

"Move aside, peasant."

His hand made a sweeping motion, attempting to push Han aside. However, he found himself staring at an unmoving bastard who held a smile on his face, almost as if he had anticipated this move.

"I know what you are wondering right now. You want to know how a mere Celestial could withstand the pressure of a Primordial," Han smirked. "It is simple, really. I simply ignored it, just as I will ignore all attacks from you unless you lower yourself to my standard."

As he said that, his cultivation started to drop. In less than a minute, he went from being a Celestial to a mere Root Saint. He had become a mortal.

"You see, my Eternal Karmic Sword Domain works in multiple ways. Either I make both of us mortals and duel it out, or I make myself mortal and change the rules of combat, making sure attacks above the level of mortals cannot touch me.

Right now, you are in my Eternal Karmic Sword Domain, which means you have to abide by my rules. So what do you say, Blood Ancestor? Are you prepared to face me in combat as a mortal...?"
