Chapter 1847: Undead Realm Mission (5)
[Meeting the Green Bone Oracle]
Kaizo’s declaration and the reveal of the head of the Undead Kraken had finally convinced everyone, causing all who doubted the fact that a team of 12 demigods could kill such a monstrosity to take deep sighs.
They had clearly underestimated the Chaos Dragon Undead Mercenary Team.
Some had expected that when Kaizo and his team arrived, the truth about them having lost some of their members while completing a red mission would be revealed.
They expected some of them not to return alive.
But not only were Kaizo and his team looking clean and radiant as ever, but they also seemed rather chill for people who had faced such a monstrosity.
Then again, the battle lasted only 5 hours, since long before they faced it, Kaizo and his team had gathered information about it and, drawing on their extensive battle experience, developed several plans to kill it.
They knew where to hit and how hard to hit it in order to kill it.
So going into the battle was already a win for them. Right now, the proof had been shown, and as Kaizo and his team moved into the Undead Mercenary Guild headquarters, the people outside fell into a frenzy.
"This is just so unbelievable, yet somehow, it makes sense that they were able to win," someone said, watching Kaizo and his team walk into the building.
"It makes sense because, looking at their track record over the past 4 months, they have proven to be one of the best Undead Mercenary Teams in the High Undead Heaven. Though I have to ask, where did they come from? I have never heard of them until 4 months ago when they started making waves."
"Same here. If they had lived in Rex City for long, I would have known or at least heard about them."
"Maybe they came from the Supreme or Celestial Undead Heavens, seeing as they were able to kill such a monster despite being demigods."
"It appears so. Though I wonder which Baron they serve."
As more and more people speculated about things, the ranking that displayed the various Undead Mercenary Teams was updated, and the Chaos Dragon Undead Mercenary Team shot to the first rank.
They would remain in that rank for the next thousands of years unless, of course, some other team managed to complete a red mission.
Kaizo and his team had left their mark, and that would go down in history for generations to come.
A few minutes after they entered the building, they walked out and made their way to their Undead Train. However, just before they could enter, a neigh came from one side.
They stopped and turned toward the arrival of two stags pulling a carriage made from the bones of a dead beast. Come to think of it, almost all transport systems in the Undead Realm were made from the remains of dead beasts.
The Undead Trains were made from the remains of Undead Leviathans.
It appeared nothing went to waste in the Undead Realm.
The carriage landed, and people gathered before scrambling away, almost as if the plague had arrived. Kaizo and his team focused on the carriage door, and a few seconds later, it swung open...
From within, a slender leg emerged, followed by the majestic figure of a woman whose beauty instantly captured everyone’s attention.
She had an hourglass figure that accentuated her hips and ass, allowing the barely fitting green gown she wore to cling tightly to her frame. It would have done her more good to walk naked since she was showing more skin than she covered.
Her boobs, which would make even Pandora or Mara turn their heads, gleamed like polished tofu on her chest, causing everyone around to swallow their saliva.
Her long green hair cascaded down her back, reaching her voluptuous ass, while her green eyes, hidden behind transparent glasses, pierced the soul of anyone who looked into them.
For a moment, many men had boners. However, the moment she took a single step and a cold killing intent spread across the space, all of them wiped the lustful thoughts from their minds.
Kaizo and his team instantly became alert. They looked at the woman approaching them and wondered why she was here, of all places.
She soon stopped a meter away from them and scanned all of them, focusing more on Kaizo.
"I am the Green Bone Oracle. Nice meeting you all," she said, extending her hand for a handshake, something that divided the feelings surging through everyone.
Some felt it was too much for the Green Bone Oracle, someone whose legend had long spread throughout the Undead Realm, to shake hands with a mere demigod.
They saw it as a disrespect to her image.
Then there were those who wished she had shaken their hands instead—the ones who wished to be in Kaizo’s place.
But the man in question didn’t mind because he was already familiar with this lady. In fact, he had interacted with her, fought with her, and defeated her many times before, so he wasn’t intimidated.
"Nice meeting you too, Lady Green Bone Oracle. I am the leader of the Chaos Dragon Undead Mercenary Team."
"Chaos Dragon... such a peculiar name..." She walked closer and leaned in, exposing her rather voluptuous breasts. "I wonder where you twelve found such a name."
Kaizo wasn’t intimidated despite sensing the overwhelming strength of a Pseudo-Primordial before him. In fact, he seemed too calm, prompting many people to wonder where his confidence came from.
He smiled and answered, "I read somewhere that a very long time ago, an entity known as the Primordial Chaos Dragon single-handedly carried the weight of an entire universe on his shoulders.
"He inspired us, and so we wished to be like him one day, or at least try to be like him."
"Is that so?" the Green Bone Oracle asked, not too bothered by Kaizo’s blatant lie.
He nodded.
"Very well. I can say you have a good start if you one day wish to carry the weight of the Undead Realm on your shoulders. But putting that aside, do you twelve mind sharing some tea with me? I have a message from the Baron for you."
