Primordial Chaos Dragon Tower: Harem System

Chapter 1863 Forsaken Race History

Chapter 1863 Forsaken Race History

Creating a solid, unbreakable bond is something Kent is rather good at. He understands people more than one would wish they could fathom.

Maybe it had to do with his many lives and experiences. But when it comes to understanding people, he is very good at it, especially when he draws on his life as Kevin Sage.

That life had been one deep mind game where he had the choice to trust or kill. He had never once made a bad call, for he had a good read on people.

Safira is a Forsaken being, a natural enemy of the Primordial Chaos Dragon. However, looking at her right now, Kent could tell with certainty that she isn't someone he can bring himself to hate.

Maybe his feelings are being influenced by the fact that he had a past with Safira, one where she helped him and, in turn, suffered for it.

Maybe he feels sorry for her, and so he feels like he could trust her.

But even if both reasons were valid, the point is that Kent feels like he could trust Safira. Due to that feeling, he also knew that creating a bond with her wouldn't be too hard.

The question, however, is whether Kent is willing to completely trust a being from the Forsaken race, someone who is a natural enemy of the universe and, by extension, Kent's mortal enemy.

The answer is yes.

He really wanted to because even if getting his fate back isn't his main priority, making his wives happy is reason enough.

They hadn't said anything, but he could tell they weren't all in favour of how he hated the Forsaken race. Maybe they knew something he didn't, and if that was the case, then he could at least compromise and allow them to justify why they didn't want him to continue his slaughter campaign against the Forsaken race.

One could even argue and say Kent had already done enough damage to the Forsaken race, and that statement would be valid.

During the Primordial Era, when he was hunting them down, it got to a point where the Forsaken race started pleading with him to spare their lives.

Initially, they thought they could overpower him, but that proved futile soon after. They lacked the confidence to continue to fight him, so they started to run, some pleading for a chance to live on.

But Chaos never batted an eye, killing all he encountered and hunting them down until his wake-up call when he met Dia and developed a heart demon.

So maybe he had already gotten his revenge.

But Chaos would be a bastard if he believed, even for once, that the Forsaken race was an innocent bunch. They were far from it, and that is why getting to know Safira would finally clear the air for him.

Kent shifted his body and placed one leg on the bed. Then, pulling Safira closer, he let her rest on his chest. Kent placed both hands on her shoulders and hugged her.

"Thank you for saving my life back then, Safira. Had it not been for you, I would have died, and the universe would have perished with me. So thank you for saving me and, by extension, saving the universe too."

She smiled and nodded.

"That said, I would like to know why you saved me. Don't get me wrong, I appreciate you saving me. It's just that back then, I was the number one most hated being in your race, so why did you go against your hatred for me and save my life instead?"

Safira sighed. Then she turned her head slightly and looked at Kent.

"That was because I never hated you to begin with. I don't know how you see Forsaken beings, but not all of us are bad."

Kent knew better than to say anything since Safira was about to open up.

"To the rest of the universe's races, all Forsaken beings are evil. However, that shouldn't be the case, not when there are three different tribes that make up the Forsaken race.

We have the Forsaken Blood Tribe, ruled by the Sinister Blood Elder. Then there is the Forsaken Bone Tribe, ruled by the White Skull Elder, and the Forsaken Snow Tribe, ruled by the Snow Maiden Elder.

All three of us are Forsaken beings, but the Forsaken Snow Tribe is a peaceful tribe, mainly because our leader has no interest in attacking your kind.

We never sought animosity with your kind, nor did we ever try to take over your planets. We love peace above all else. However, the same cannot be said for the Forsaken Blood Tribe and the Forsaken Bone Tribe.

They are violent, and they were the main enemy you should have attacked. The ones who offended you were the Forsaken Blood Tribe. However, you didn't know that, and so you attacked all of us.

Many in my tribe really wanted you dead, but against all odds, my leader prevented us from doing that. In the end, thousands died by your hands.

When I found you barely conscious in the snow back then, I had every reason to kill you, but I didn't. Not because I was weak, but because I couldn't bring myself to kill you.

And yes, I paid dearly for it. But at least because of that decision, I can now beg you that, in case you wish to attack the Forsaken race again, spare my Forsaken Snow Tribe.

We didn't choose to be Forsaken beings, but we chose to seek peace above all else simply because we wished to live in harmony with your kind.

Maybe I am just delusional for thinking the universe can ever align with the Forsaken race. But even if there is a small chance that it can happen, then please, consider my people and spare them."

Kent could only stare back at Safira, regret written all over his face.

As they say, grief really fucks with the head.

He had killed millions of Forsaken beings, believing they were all the same. Thinking about it now, he could tell there was a clear difference between them.

After all, some fought back, while others surrendered, pleading for their lives and those of their loved ones.

But he never listened.
