Chapter 1868 Heart Demon Dao
Chapter 1868 Heart Demon Dao
Kent was back in his body, almost as if he hadn't just had a conversation with corruption itself. Corruption came in different forms, so he wouldn't treat it as a single entity.
But he had a nice chat with them, and from what had been said, they would surely come for him one day.
The good part is that Kent was prepared for them.
In fact, he wanted them to come so he could finally put an end to their infestation. He wanted them gone, and since he had finally confirmed they existed, planning how to get rid of them was his next step.
He wasn't too bothered, though...
For now, he had plans to handle a few things before returning to his training. After reading the first page of the Chaos Ascension King Legacy Manual, he had gained insight into cultivating Killing Intent.
His next objective was to focus on that, since the legacy demanded dedication, and right now, he needed to dedicate his time to making sure he had more pages to read and more of his strength to recover, so he wasn't about to slack off.
Turning to the side, his gaze landed on Dia, now surrounded by her sisters, every last one of them playing with her hair. That was the most visible part of her, so they all wanted to touch it.
Of course, they were happy for her. After all, she had finally become someone whole. She still had no fate or destiny, but at least her life didn't depend on Kent, and her power no longer came from corruption.
Kent could tell she had become someone even the universe could not control. She wasn't in the web of fate, and so her actions could only be dictated by herself.
Such an existence was akin to the Paragon. She had no home, so she could only choose a place to call home. Luckily for her, she had more than enough sisters to keep her sane for now. Luckily, she also seemed happy with her newfound powers.
She may have been corrupted, but now she was herself, and that was what she wanted.
"Congratulations, Dia. I am happy for you," Kent said, approaching her with a warm smile.
Dia turned from her sisters, looked at him, and smiled. "Thank you, dear. I am very happy right now."
Well, she wasn't wrong about that. She was indeed delighted that she had finally become herself, free from corruption and manipulation by anyone.
"It is good that you are happy. After all, we all deserve happiness one way or the other."
Her sisters allowed her to approach Kent, so Dia did, and when she was close to him, she jumped into his arms, locking lips with his. Kent, of course, had no plans to shy away, so he grabbed her by the butt and started kissing her back.
A couple of minutes later, they separated, and Kent looked her in the eye, still holding her. "You would have to protect your sisters, Dia. You are now someone even I have to be wary of if you were my enemy, so stick by them and make sure they are protected."
Hearing what he said, some of his wives furrowed their brows, wondering why he would say something like this. Sure, Dia was now a Universal God with the power of corruption.
However, there were Supremes, Celestials, Pseudo-Primordials, and a Primordial in the harem. The idea that Kent would be telling Dia to protect them baffled them.
But they soon understood why he said that.
Dia smiled and said, "You are saying this because of him, right? The Paragon."
Kent nodded. "Yes. I can smell that bastard on you. Clearly, he visited you, didn't he?"
"He did. Although your Killing Intent helped me suppress the corrupted version of me, he was the one who helped me finally get rid of it."
"That is classic him, always taking advantage of every small opening to do something mind-bending." Kent smirked, almost as if he knew the Paragon all too well.
He sure did. After all, he had read how they met in the past and how much the Paragon had helped him. That alone told him what kind of person the Paragon was and what a menace he could be when he wanted to spite the heavens.
"I don't know how he did it, but he somehow captured a part of corruption, or specifically, Heart Demon Power, and made it into a Dao that only you, in all of existence, can harness. In other words, you now have your own Dao, and since you are Fateless, you can literally do just about anything you want.
Rules and restrictions don't apply to you anymore, which, from where I stand, makes you the strongest. If you don't believe me, let's experiment and see something."
Kent turned toward his sister Fiannarel and said, "Big Sister, you wouldn't mind if we experimented on you, would you?"
Fiannarel just smirked. "Now you need my help when you tried to block me from coming here."
Kent smiled guiltily. "Don't be like that, Big Sister."
"Tch, fine, you can experiment on me. But you'll owe me one."
"I sure will be sure to pay that favor later. For now, lower all defenses around your soul, at least to the level of a Pseudo-Primordial."
Fiannarel said nothing and did as she was told.
Kent turned to Dia and made the most shocking revelation. "Dia, plant a heart demon inside Big Sister Fiannarel's soul."
"Huh?" Even Fiannarel herself was taken aback by Kent's request to Dia.
"You know, access your Dao and target her soul. Then plant the heart demon there... And don't worry, since you have a Dao, you can remove it whenever you want."
Dia took a deep breath, unsure if she could really do what she was being asked without hurting Fiannarel. Luckily for her, Fiannarel was okay with it.
"Go ahead, Dia. I can handle it."
A few minutes later, Fiannarel had become pale, her body shivering. Inside her Soul Sea, an eldritch horror stood facing her, an eerie smile on its face.
On the outside, everyone had gone silent, staring at the strongest among them, now shaking and trembling...
The shocking part was that the one responsible was Dia, a mere Universal God.
