Chapter 1872 Eternal Ice Genesis Spear (2)
Chapter 1872 Eternal Ice Genesis Spear (2)
Kent's only task was to imbue his ice essence into the spear.
Lady Khronisia had already created a core that would act as the heart of the spear. Inside this core, the weapon spirit she had already captured, thanks to the many dungeons inside the Dungeon Tower, would reside.
But before that could be done, she first had to awaken the core. Kent was in charge of that process.
Of course, she could have gone ahead and created an ice core right away. But that would have been unsuitable for a weapon spirit to reside in.
So Kent would have to handle that part since only an Ice Elemental bearing a True Name could create something of that sort. Initially, she had only wanted a spear that could harness the power of the ice element.
But now that she was forging a Soul-type weapon, things had become more complex and better defined. This time, she had to depend on Kent to handle his part well.
"Can I borrow your hammer?" Kent requested, and she handed it over without even bothering to ask why he needed a hammer for such a simple task.
Under normal circumstances, all he had to do was channel his ice essence into the spear, allowing the core to be stimulated and finally accept the coldness.
However, Kent requested a hammer, and that was unexpected.
Still, many wished to know what he had planned.
"You might want to distance yourself for the next part," Kent said before walking two meters away. Lady Khronisia, who had witnessed his battle prowess, moved back, putting another six meters between them.
Once they were both far enough apart, Kent stomped heavily on the ground, and three pillars of ice shot out from the earth, rising into the air. All three remained suspended before him.
He stood there for a few minutes before a smile formed at the corner of his lips.
'Let's see how long you will remain hidden,' he smirked.
Then, as the hammer was raised, a thick layer of ice coated it. With a powerful swing, the hammer came crashing down onto one of the ice pillars.
The blow caused a crack to appear in it. The next second, another strike shattered a portion of it. Then, in what could only be described as a flawless display of hammering mastery, Kent unleashed one blow after another.
The audience was left stunned, every last one of them wondering whether what they were witnessing was real.
There was no way they could be seeing an illusion, right?
That was impossible...
"Am I seeing things, or is Kent Madson using the Nine-Fold Demon Hammer technique?"
"He is using it, and flawlessly at that."
Many were left in shock, most wondering if what they were seeing was even real. The fact that Kent was using a technique that many could spend their entire lives without mastering even a single form was simply unbelievable.
Even Lady Khronisia was left stunned.
It had taken her thousands of years to master the first three forms.
However, it had taken Kent just a day or two of watching her to master them.
Naturally, that was impossible.
But then again, this was Kent, someone with talent that couldn't be put into words. However, while he possessed talent that far surpassed mortal comprehension, his knowledge of this particular technique came from his past life.
The Nine-Fold Demon Hammer was a technique he had helped refine back when he was known as the Nine Underworld Flame Blacksmith.
The Lunar Saint Blacksmith was its creator, but back then, the Nine Underworld Flame Blacksmith was already renowned for possessing one of the greatest collections of hammer techniques, with his most prominent one being the Sixty-Six Hammer Art.
Because of his expertise with the hammer, many sought his assistance in refining their techniques.
The Nine-Fold Demon Hammer was one of the many techniques he had helped create, so using it was as simple as swinging his hammer.
He could use all nine forms flawlessly. But Kent only stuck to the first three forms. Then again, he could have used any other hammer technique he had personally created.
However, for what he had in mind today, he chose to use the Nine-Fold Demon Hammer. Naturally, as the hammer struck the ice pillar, a very deep and complex runic sorcery was taking place, one that nobody present could perceive.
However, somewhere far away in the void, a being with white hair and crimson eyes sat on a throne-like chair, his expression narrowing toward the distance.
His gaze was fixed deep into the void, staring at Kent as he hammered the ice pillars into shape. Perhaps he recognized the technique Kent was using, or perhaps he recognized what Kent was doing, and he didn't like it.
Regardless, as he continued to watch, the aura around him started to change, taking on a subtle annoyance that could only be discerned from his expression.
Then, just as the three ice pillars were hammered into the shapes of a square, a triangle, and a rectangle, Kent suddenly changed techniques, causing the hammer in his hand to hum.
When that happened, the white-haired man frowned. Then he stood up and, with a single step, vanished from where he had been seated.
Kent looked at the three ice pillars, which had now taken the forms of a square, a triangle, and a rectangle. He smiled, and just before he could strike them one last time, he paused and looked up.
Above him, storm clouds began to gather.
He smiled and turned to Lady Khronisia.
"I am done here. The rest can be handled by you."
He lowered the hammer and then, with a gentle pinch, the three shapes unraveled. They shattered, each transforming into a rune bearing the same shape as they were.
"You can come over when you're done with everything." Kent said one last time to Lady Khronisia before turning his attention back to the storm cloud.
Looking up, he smiled before shooting forward like a missile and entering the storm that was brewing.
The moment he disappeared into it, the storm vanished. Lady Khronisia looked up for a few moments before sighing and imbuing the runes into the spear.
The storm returned, only this time, it carried the power of heavenly tribulation.
