Chapter 1892 The One Who Harvests Blood
Chapter 1892 The One Who Harvests Blood
"Are you saying this lady is the original Blood Harvester?" Everyone turned pale, waiting for confirmation from Kent despite knowing deep in their hearts that, indeed, the person they had all come to witness get executed was that dreadful fiend from the Blood Era.
The signs were already there and had been there from the start.
She didn't name herself, but her deeds gave her that name.
From the moment people started to notice her, whenever she killed an opponent, no matter how dangerous the situation was, she wouldn't fail to harvest their blood essence.
Every last soul she had killed, she harvested their blood essence, something only the Blood Harvester was known to do.
Initially, many were hesitant to give her such a name, but as time went by and more of her deeds spread across the celestial realm, the name naturally became hers.
But people who knew the legend of the original Blood Harvester still became hesitant when they referred to this lady by that name. Safe to say, they all feared Kent's answer, for if it was true, then they were all at risk.
The legacy the original Blood Harvester had left wasn't straightforward. She had had her fair share of ups and downs, and most of them were her own decisions that, in today's universe, many considered evil.
One time, she slaughtered and harvested the blood of an entire battalion simply because one of them assaulted a mother and her daughter. She should have just killed that one warrior, but no, she killed all 12,000 of them.
What if she awakened right now and decided to slaughter everyone simply because they had come to watch her get executed?
Kent smiled, perhaps sensing their worry.
But he didn't answer the question with a yes or no. Rather, to buy time, he decided to tell a story...
He flew a bit higher and started to speak... "A very long time ago, a young, beautiful lady, born to a loving father and mother, both pacifists, decided to embark on a path that went contrary to what she was raised to believe in.
"This young lady, keen and determined, entered the infamous Blood Trial, the same trial that, years later, the legendary Blood Spear King would dominate.
Of course, what many didn't know was that before the Blood Spear King dominated that trial, the young lady who would later be known as the Blood Harvester had come face to face with the Blood Monarch, who later on invaded this universe and nearly reduced every living soul to a pool of blood.
When they met, they fought, and he was injured by the Blood Harvester. That battle bought the universe enough time for its heroes to rise and defend it.
I know she had her ups and downs, but we all know that in the grand scheme of things, her role during the Blood Era significantly impacted this universe and everyone living in it.
She was selfless, determined and willing to do everything necessary to ensure life was preserved. Lastly, when the Blood War neared its climax, she was the one who laid down her life to ensure the universe was ushered into another era where life as we know it continued to thrive."
Kent paused and smiled, looking at the grim expressions that had appeared on the faces of everyone, especially the 11 elders of the Blue Horn Tigerkin Family.
"So allow me to spell out something to you all. You see, after she had willingly laid down her life, using her blood and soul to seal away the devastation of the Blood Race, one would expect her to have a good reincarnation.
"But no, you losers decided to chase her down, arrest and beat her up, then tie her down and order a public execution." Kent's voice dropped low, a wave of killing intent coming out through his eyes.
"Do you losers even have an idea of the kind of people you have offended? I mean, the Blood Harvester was someone known to have led a legion called the Blood Hounds during the Blood Era.
"As far as one is concerned, the history books recorded only 340 dead after the Blood War, meaning 259 are still alive and somewhere out there waiting for their general to awaken.
"Judging by the kind of legend they had left in their wake, do you seriously think they would take kindly to what you had done to their general? I mean, even I am this close to annihilating every last one of you, down to the last seed bearing your bloodline.
"Eliza is a war hero, someone who has been given a true name by the universe for her service to mankind. Do you seriously think such a person is someone you can mess with?"
Kent's eyes turned red, showing he was pissed now... "You know what, none of you qualify to answer me, so allow me to call someone who can explain to me why I shouldn't annihilate your entire Blue Horn Tigerkin Family."
"Tsh, do you think you have what it takes to threaten my family?" one of the elders sneered, a dark expression of disdain on his face.
"But I do." Kent grinned and turned to Ruby. "Kill him."
"With pleasure."
Ruby smiled and turned to face the elder who spoke. He still had the look of disdain on his face, but before he could say anything, Ruby moved, and a head flew into the air.
For a moment, everyone was left wondering when Ruby would make her move.
It took some people a minute to finally register what had happened. When they did, every last one of them turned pale white like a sheet.
"Now that I have proven I can threaten your Blue Horn Tigerkin Family, allow me to summon the one who can explain to me what the hell you losers have done to my stepsister."
Kent's eyes narrowed, then, out of nowhere, a voice from far away spoke, "Get your ass over here, Cassius. Don't let me repeat myself."
For a moment, nothing happened. But then space cracked, and a figure radiating a presence that the universe seemed threatened by stepped out.
