Chapter 1900 Ancient Primal Inheritance
Chapter 1900 Ancient Primal Inheritance
It is safe to say that when it comes to life-or-death battles, there is no one better suited for them than the Mother of Killers.
Long before she became the legendary Spear Maid, Rakshasa, she was known as Shara, the Mother of Killers. She was among the thousands who entered the Trial of Death with nothing but a pair of short swords in hand.
After 700-plus kills, she emerged as the lone survivor, her killing intent forcing even Celestials to take a step back.
Many have won the Trial of Death, but none before or after her came out with that much aura. It was said that even Death feared her, for in her presence, unless she willed it, Death could not claim the souls she had killed.
Kent knew it had to be her, for he knew that unless she willed it, she could not die. Death would not even accept her because Death feared her, and Kent knew this because inside his soul, he had a literal embodiment of Death who was wary of Neomi.
This gave him the confidence to select Neomi, since she would be well-suited to handle what he had planned.
Kent patted her back and said, "No need to cry, Neomi. You are qualified to represent the universe in this challenge, so lift your head and accept your mission like the warrior you are."
Neomi lived during the Flame Era, when the Nine Underworld Flame Blacksmith reigned supreme. While they'd never met, Fjorge (Kent's Incarnation as the Nine Underworld Flame Blacksmith) had heard a lot about the legendary Rakshasa back then.
He may have ended the Flame Wars, but it was the likes of Rakshasa who made sure the various planets and lives were protected.
Staring into her eyes now, Kent wished he had known her back then. Perhaps he would have invited her to join his legion, the Hell Devastators or even forge her weapons.
"Do you accept your mission?"
Neomi wiped her eyes and went down on one knee, crossing her right hand over her chest. "I accept, my lord."
Right now, everyone could sense an unfamiliar yet familiar feeling coming from Neomi. She wasn't the Neomi they knew, for the aura coming from her was that of a warrior who knew nothing but bloodshed and death.
Eliza, Kaizo, Meiko and Ruby smiled, for they could relate to that feeling. They all loved nothing more than battles, Kaizo and Meiko especially.
"Then rise, for you will be representing the Infinity Universe in what awaits us." Neomi nodded and rose to her feet. She then smiled and hugged Kent...
While she may be Rakshasa or Shara, she was also Neomi, the wife of the legendary Primordial Chaos Dragon.
After hugging him, she turned to her sisters, who looked both happy and worried. They trusted her, but it was a death match, and they knew it was a trap.
While she was capable, at the moment, she was only a demigod, and her opponents would be Pseudo-Primordials and Primordials.
That made them worry.
"Relax, everyone. I may be weak now, but that won't be for long." She turned and looked at Kent. "I have to go somewhere for at least 20 years by the Universe's standard time."
Kent frowned a bit but nodded. "How long would pass at where you intended to go?"
"200,000 years."
"I see. Mind telling us where you will be going so we wouldn't be too worried, and when you plan to go?"
Neomi looked at her sisters and smiled. "I will be leaving as soon as I can, and the place I intend to go is called Devil's Embrace. It is a place found somewhere in Hell. It is not in Hell, but I will have to go there to get to where I want to go."
Perhaps seeing a worried look appear on everyone's face, Kent included, she explained herself further. "I have never told anyone this, but in my past life, after I passed the Trial of Death, a man who revealed himself as the Creator of the Trial of Death appeared to congratulate me and hand over my rewards.
The reward came in two forms: an upgrade of my bloodline and a chance to inherit the legacy of one of the Ancient Primals."
"Huh?" Kent's eyes widened, which made Neomi realise he knew something about the inheritance, or at least a part of it.
"Are you sure he said these exact words, 'Ancient Primals'?" Kent asked, and Neomi nodded.
"He did. He even gave me the key." She extended her hand, and the tattoo of two short swords crossed to form an X appeared.
[You have discovered the Mark of an Ancient Primal]
The message appeared before Kent's eyes.
"It is indeed the mark of an Ancient Primal." His hands trembled for a few seconds before a wave of heartwarming laughter escaped his lips.
"Hahahaha, this is awesome."
His wives and legion were left dumbfounded. They had seen Kent become happy many times, but never had they seen him this happy. It was as if something he had been missing for a very long time had finally returned to his side.
They all wanted to know why he was laughing like a maniac, so after he calmed down, they asked...
"Who or what is an Ancient Primal?" Vexthra asked...
Kent, still holding a smile on his face, answered, tapping into his memories of the Chaos Ascension King. "A very long time ago, long before the multiverse came into existence, seven beings roamed the Primal Cosmos.
Legends have it that they were beings of absolute power and authority that nobody dared to oppose. Later on, they faced an enemy whose power was so great that they couldn't defeat it.
So, in a bid to save all of existence, they destroyed themselves along with the entity. But to ensure life would continue to thrive, they each left a legacy, one that many had been looking for ever since.
Who would have thought you had the key all this time but never said anything to anyone?"
Neomi blinked a few times and then smiled.
In her defense, she had her doubts about the man who gave her the key. She didn't know whether the inheritance was real or a trap. So she never attempted to claim it.
But now that Kent had confirmed it was real, she had no reason to doubt it.
"By the way, the man who gave you the inheritance, what is his name?" Kent asked.
"He said I can call him the Soul Monarch..."
