Chapter 1935 Revenge Is a Bitch(20)

[Ten Minutes Before Crimson Dagger Contacted Vexthra]

Inside Dia's hair domain, Estella, the Second Flame Matriarch, held a cold gaze despite flames literally burning from her eyes and engulfing her body.

The coldness in her eyes was so deep that the Pseudo-Primordials around her couldn't help but avoid looking at her face altogether.

That feeling of true killing intent and hatred was so strong that she had found her way into their heads without even trying. And looking at five bodies already on the ground, it was plain that she had no plans to leave any alive.

Her grip on her flaming spear is very firm.

Even if she isn't someone who wishes to help Kent, she had, at the moment, become friends with his wives, Unity most especially, and so knowing Unity is in danger somewhere fuels her rage.

Aside from that, she wishes to show the ladies that she isn't someone to be looked down on. Her power is high enough to make even Primordials second-guess themselves.

Suddenly, Vexthra's voice entered her head, 'Estella, we have an unexpected development that, if we manage it well, will enable us to last more than 45 minutes, so it's time for you to change things up. I am pulling you away from the hair domain for guard duty.'

She frowned, her brow knitting as she turned and looked toward Vexthra...

'Who needs guarding?' she asked, using the same link Vexthra formed with her.

'Zaila had a breakthrough, and she needs 10 minutes to handle the awakening. Her Thralls alone cannot be trusted to keep her safe, so I need you.'

'Then who will be replacing me?'

'That will be me.' Vexthra teleported and appeared beside her inside the hair domain.

"Are you serious? These are Pseudo-Primordials, and you are merely a God. Although you ladies are impossible, the gap is too wide," Estella complained. Vexthra just smiled.

"I never pegged you as one to care for anyone. But don't worry, I will not tell anyone." She smiled and looked at the Pseudo-Primordials surrounding them... "I will only have to be here for 10 minutes. Naturally, that is plenty of time for me to use my abilities to the fullest after my recent breakthrough.

After all, even though they are Pseudo-Primordials, they are people, and people have hatred and resentment in them."

Just as she said that, her hair lengthened, and soon her body began to transform. In no time, Vexthra stood with a large bow in her hand, her eyes completely dark and an emotionless look now plastered across her face.

She had now become a 6'7" tall flame demon, her true form, and by doing so, she had also tapped into her divinity, unleashing the Divinity of Hatred and Resentment.

Vexthra came from Sonox, as did some of Kent's wives. But she had long since ascended to become a goddess, and had Kent not wanted his wives to walk both the Ancient Soul Path and the Law Path, she would have long since become a Supreme.

But that is okay since even as a God, she now stood with the power of a Supreme King. And now that she had activated her divine form, which is her true form, she had become even more powerful, so powerful that she believed she could hold back ten Pseudo-Primordials for ten minutes without fail.

All around the battlefield, streams of energy, both from allies and enemies, poured into her body.

Those were the hatred and resentment felt by everyone. This also meant that as long as everyone had such emotions in their hearts, she would have the strength to fight no matter what.

Estella's eyes narrowed a bit, but then she was forced to trust Vexthra when, the next moment, an arrow was fired, and though the Pseudo-Primordial she aimed at blocked it, he was pushed back.

"Try not to die before I return." Estella teleported away, and in her place, a second Vexthra appeared. This version of her was only a demigod, composed of soul energy.

That was her Primordial Spirit, who had come to make things easy for her main body. The moment she appeared, she turned into a beam of light and augmented the bow.

BOOOM

The aura of hatred and resentment exploded out of the bow, and then all hell broke loose.

"Try not to slow me down, guys." One arrow after another started flying out of her bow, instantly overwhelming her opponents.

She knew she could not hold them back for long.

But she didn't have to hold them much longer. All she needed to do was keep them contained for as long as possible until Ruby, Dia, or Yukiko, who were fighting in the same domain as her, had some openings and could take in some of her opponents.

"After this battle, I'd better cultivate my soul to the peak of the God Stage and break through to the Supreme Stage before another battle of this magnitude comes knocking again."

She could feel her emotions washing away, but she didn't mind. It was just ten minutes; that was how long she needed to keep her divine form activated for. Once Estella returned, she would deactivate it and return to her normal human form.

Estella, however, stood beside Zaila, arms folded over her chest as she watched the dangerous battle happening around her.

She didn't really expect her first-ever battle to be this terrifying. The universe she remembered wasn't this monstrous.

But then she understood that, after many eras, the universe was bound to grow, and more powerhouses would take their place in its ranks.

This suddenly made her reevaluate her plans to lead Kent to his doom. Since he wanted her to be his compass when he invaded the Flame Realm, she had plans to use her ignorance of being away for years to lead him to a point of no return.

But now that she could see what Kent's wives and Legion could do, she started to reevaluate everything.

'I just hope the Flame Empress will be up for the task because, given a few more years, these people will become an unstoppable force.'

She sighed, her thoughts settling for now.

Maybe after some time, she would think of the best way to approach her mission, one that could end in the destruction of her kind or her freedom.
