Chapter 1936 Revenge Is a Bitch(21)

Five minutes into Vexthra's battle against the ten Pseudo-Primordials, two managed to breach her deadly barrage and close in on her.

One came from the right, the other from the left, leaving her with only one option: to either defend against the one coming from her right or the one coming from her left.

She can't do both, not even by a long shot.

However, there is something else she could do; she could choose to ignore both and retreat from the hair domain. Doing so will save her life, but will push her friends inside the hair domain to take on an additional load.

That is not like Vexthra at all.

She always wants to make things easy for her sisters, so she cannot, in good conscience, leave them to face such dangers.

But staying also puts her at risk.

That was until she smiled, reached into her space ring, and pulled out an item...

It is a circular, ring-shaped artefact with razor-sharp edges and a thin look. The moment she pulled it out, she tossed it at the figure coming from the left while her arrows rained toward the one coming from the right.

The ring, after being thrown at the Pseudo-Primordial coming from the left, enlarged and hummed into existence, turning into a Supreme Tier weapon known as the Ring of Death.

The Pseudo-Primordial came to a complete halt, his eyes widening as he sensed a terrible pressure coming from the ring. The next second, it rotated, and one arrow after another rained down on him.

He retreated and flew back, but he underestimated the power of the Ring of Death.

It chased after him, and the arrows that had already been unleashed didn't stop at all.

Vexthra barely had time to register this since she was now locked in a fierce battle with nine Pseudo-Primordials. The more she unleashes her arrows, the closer she gets to the point of no return.

Naturally, she could sense the pressure mounting on her, and there were four more minutes remaining before Estella came back.

'Should I use it?' Vexthra thought as she neared her breaking point with three more minutes on the clock.

Suddenly, an explosion came from the distance, and thousands of warriors from the Grim Arcane Legends rushed forward, swarming her teammates.

She didn't even think for a moment.

Tapping into her Divinity, she unleashed a wave of flames that manifested into a large black door. Inside the door is pitch black, but one could feel the heat of a Primordial Flame burning deep inside.

Vexthra thrust her hand into the gate and pulled out three large red arrows. The moment the arrows appeared, all nine Pseudo-Primordials came to a halt, their expressions changing...

"That-That is your Divinity compressed into tangible weapons," one of the Pseudo-Primordials recognised the arrows, which instantly made him turn pale.

"Good, you recognise what it can also do, then." Vexthra put one in her bow and aimed at the Pseudo-Primordial who spoke.

"You are crazy. Using this will kill you." He unleashed his power to mask the fear as he rushed forward with terrible speed.

"Not if you have a Primordial Spirit, idiot."

The arrow flew from her bow and vanished into the Pseudo-Primordial's body. His body froze, then he dropped to his knees, his expression turning even paler now.

"Kill her!" They lunged forward again, and Vexthra merely smiled before she unleashed another, taking one off the board. He didn't die, but he is going to wish he had died.

The third arrow found its mark, also leaving her with six more and two minutes on the clock.

The three she had shot slowly started to experience the pain of their souls being suppressed. This process is so agonizing that, in the span of only a few seconds, they started to cry blood.

What is happening to them is more than just soul suppression. The arrows are also tearing away a part of their cultivation, forcefully pulling them back to the God Stage.

They have the option to remain there forever or try to mend their souls one day and rise back to the Pseudo-Primordial stage. Safe to say, watching them now, Vexthra had done more wicked things to them than straight-up killing them.

The terror of the moment is that they are now surrounded by terrible warriors who can claim their lives at any time.

"KILL HER!" The veins on their necks popped up, and soon, Vexthra, with less than 2 minutes remaining, found herself surrounded with no opening.

"Fuck, I am dead." She knew what was coming, and while she wouldn't really die because of the life-saving treasures she bought from the tower, she is the commander, and so if she dies and is put to sleep inside the tower, she wouldn't be able to control them.

'I will use three more.' With no way of escaping her current predicament, she reached to pull out more arrows, which, if she did, would seriously wound her Divinity.

Already, she is riding on a few doses of Divinity with no way of supplementing it unless she is closer to Yuyin, the Goddess of Light.

Since that was the case, wounding her Divinity would surely make her more vulnerable.

'I have no choice.' She thrust her hand into the gateway she had manifested and was about to pull out three more arrows when a formation opened above the hair domain, and compressed beams powerful enough to erase Celestials started to rain down on them.

Vexthra's eyes narrowed, but then she smiled... "What took you so long, Alina?"

From the center of the Battlefield Matrix, Alina appeared, holding three drops of Celestial-grade blood essence, each connected to the formation.

"I wasn't planning to join this mission, but Kent was worried, so he asked me to come make sure none of you died," Alina replied, wearing a smug expression.

Vexthra ignored her completely and focused on the Battlefield Matrix... "Looks like you have finally succeeded in making your dream come true."

"Kent is to be thanked for that. He sure is a man of many talents." Alina teleported and appeared beside Vexthra...

"He sure is. However, can you handle these losers?"

Alina eyed the six Pseudo-Primordials and smiled. "As long as we can kill one and extract their blood essence, killing the rest will be as simple as watching them drop dead."

Vexthra smiled, and then her communication Jade buzzed, and Crimson Dagger asked, "My Lady, how are things at your end?"
