Chapter 1939 Revenge Is a Bitch(24)

[Two Minutes Before Elina Fell]

Even before the battle started, every last one knew Elina wouldn't last longer than any of them. After all, she was only an Immortal Lord, and while she was stronger, she wasn't like the rest of her sisters.

She had only recently become a dragon, and so she didn't have much experience when it came to being a dragon.

Safe to say, she surprised them all.

Vexthra assigned some of the members of the Beast Legion to protect her, and they did, for a while. However, that stopped when the pressure mounted on them.

Elina was left to fend for herself, which she did. She didn't just prove she had become much stronger; she also proved she could stand toe-to-toe with even gods.

After killing 320 Immortals, 25 demigods, 12 gods, and 3 Supremes, a Celestial finally noticed her.

"Die!" Elina was just done killing a god when, suddenly, her entire body froze.

Not even her fingers could move.

In that instant, she knew she was in danger, and if she didn't do anything, she would die.

So she did something.

She tapped into her nature as a dragon and unleashed her dragon will. The moment she did, the pressure vanished, and she immediately sidestepped, evading a large sword arc.

Her body spun, and then her spear met the deadly swing of a sword.

Lightning snaked around her arms and into the spear before exploding, sending both her and her opponent back. Elina used the moment to examine her opponent, and when she saw he was a Celestial, her brow knitted.

'I need to kill him, even if it is the last thing I do.' Her mind was made up, and so she moved, channeling the power of her four tribulation lightning.

The four tribulation lightning surged through her body, causing the space around her to tremble. She was the Nine Tribulation Dragon, but at the moment, she could only harness the power of four tribulation lightning.

But that was enough, in her opinion. She knew that when she became a demigod, she would be able to harness the power of the 5th tribulation lightning.

Crimson, violet, golden, and silver lightning snaked around her arms before converging at the tip of her spear.

The Celestial narrowed his eyes.

"Four different tribulation lightning? Interesting. I didn't expect to encounter someone like you on this battlefield."

Elina didn't respond.

She tightened her grip on her spear and vanished.

BOOM!

A thunderous explosion erupted as she appeared before the Celestial, thrusting her spear toward his chest.

The Celestial raised his sword and blocked the attack with a smile playing at the corner of his lips. Clearly, he didn't hold Elina in high regard.

However, the moment their weapons collided, the four lightning bolts exploded, sending a terrifying current through his sword and into his body.

His expression changed.

"What!"

Before he could recover, Elina twisted her wrist and delivered another thrust.

CLANG!

The Celestial blocked again, but this time, he was forced three steps backward. Just this alone was enough to tell him he was up against an Immortal who wasn't to be underestimated.

Elina didn't give him a chance to regain his balance.

Her figure blurred as she unleashed dozens of spear strikes, each carrying the destructive power of her four tribulation lightning.

For a moment, the Celestial found himself completely on the defensive and to him, that was a hug disgrace to his pride.

"Impudent!"

A terrifying aura erupted from his body, and with a powerful swing of his sword, he unleashed a massive crescent-shaped sword light.

Elina crossed her spear before her chest.

BOOOOM!

The sword light struck her, sending her flying several hundred meters. The force behind the attack was just too much.

Blood escaped her lips as she struggled to stabilize herself.

'I cannot fail big sister Vexthra and the rest of my sisters.' She spat a mouthful of blood and steadied herself. Then she spun her spear, and channeling more power into her body and spear, she moved, aiming to kill the Celestial at least.

She learned from her sisters that only a few of them were able to kill Supremes while they were Immortals. But she had killed 3 of them. If she added a Celestial to the mix, who was to say she wouldn't have bragging rights after this battle?

Aside from that, she saw how her sisters treated her. They were overprotective of her simply because she was the weakest of them. While she was happy about that, she also wanted to prove herself.

So killing a Celestial would come in handy right about now.

But saying and doing are two different things. Regardless, she knew she had to make a move now since the Celestial had gained the upper hand and was now smiling at her like she was prey.

'I hate the look on his face.'

That was all Elina said before she channeled the lightning back from the spear and pushed everything into her legs. The moment she did that, she saw that everything had slowed down.

BOOM!

She moved, and in the blink of an eye, she stood before the Celestial, whose eyes widened when he saw Elina appear like she was made of wind.

Before he could say anything, however, Elina thrust her spear forward, aiming for his head. Her spear went clean through his chest, piercing his heart.

But the Celestial didn't let her off, not when he knew he wasn't walking out of this alive. His left hand moved and grabbed Elina by the neck.

His grip tightened, but just when he was about to snap her neck using his last strength, Elina vanished from his grip, and then his soul finally left his body, dying with no assurance whatsoever of whether his opponent was also dead or not.

Elina appeared inside the Legion Tower, passed out but with a smile on her face as a cocoon formed around her.

Already, 15 cocoons had appeared inside the Legion Tower, and more would be added since the danger only kept mounting against Vexthra and her team.

55 minutes after the battle started, the second battlefield cube glowed, and Princess Dominique, the Third Undead Princess, appeared, followed by an undead.

This undead, while he looked the same as Monarch Nexus, radiated an aura much darker and more sinister than that of the Monarch Nexus everyone knew.

The chilling part was that he was now a Pseudo-Primordial, but his aura was far more dreadful than when he was even a Primordial.

"KILL," Princess Dominique commanded, and Monarch Nexus obeyed.
