Chapter 1942 Revenge Is a Bitch(27)
"Hahahahahahaha..."
From the cave where Sanguine, the blood spear that once aided the Blood Spear King, was imprisoned, chilling laughter came out, freezing the air and causing the seven Pseudo-Primordial Beasts, who were tasked by Emmet, the overlord of the Little Maiden Garden, to tremble.
"Soon... Soon, all of you will become mine to devour."
Sanguine's tone sent shivers down their spines, but since they were tasked with keeping the seal in place until at least the next blood moon, which was three days away, they couldn't afford to slack off.
They remained standing, their hands pointed at the formation.
They kept pouring their energy into it, making sure it stayed active until the blood moon.
"Futile... All your resistance will be futile before my master, you worms. Once my master gets here, all of you will face his wrath, and trust me, none of you are prepared for what is coming."
The seven Pseudo-Primordials didn't mind him and just continued to man their posts.
Meanwhile, somewhere not too far away, Kent sat in a lotus posture, his eyes closed, while his soul was back inside his soul sea, planning things with Mjolnir.
"So it appears the battle will be a simple yet dangerous one," Kent said, projecting the terrain of the Little Maiden Garden using his Soul Universe.
He had seen everything, and judging by what he had seen, he knew the magnitude of danger waiting for him. The shocking part was how powerful his opponents were.
Kent knew he had to be careful.
The seven Pseudo-Primordials weren't the only danger waiting for them.
"Mjolnir, I believe we have to tweak our plans," Kent suggested, and Mjolnir frowned.
"Don't ask me to fight the weaklings. I am a Primordial, and while the rules don't apply to me as they do to your kind, I will not lower myself to fight anything below the rank of a Primordial."
Kent smiled and said, "As a matter of fact, that is exactly what I want you to do. I want you to lower yourself and fight Pseudo-Primordials and Celestials."
The frown on Mjolnir's face deepened.
"Hear me out first. From my investigation, there are 12 Pseudo-Primordials and 56 Celestials. If I were to fight them, it would take hours, but you would need less than an hour to dispatch them.
Now, while that would have been the plan at first, the problem is the three hidden figures currently waiting for the Overlord of this domain to fall so they can swoop in and take whatever she is hiding."
Mjolnir still held the frown, but at least he wasn't throwing a tantrum.
"I am not asking you to merely kill the weaklings. I also want you to free Sanguine, or at least add that to your plans, since there is a chance that during my battle with the Overlord of this domain, she will ask for help.
Once that happens, it will be four against one, and while I would love to raise my chest and say I can handle it, I think we both know taking on 4 Primordials at the same time is more of your thing.
But even you cannot handle it all, so we need Sanguine. There is even a chance that with him added, we will still be short on warriors. Luckily for us, our mission is to come and free him, so once he is free, we leave."
Kent allowed a few minutes to pass before he asked, "So what do you think about this arrangement?"
"I hate it, but it is also the wisest move we have, so why not?" Mjolnir smirked, but he didn't say anything else. This showed he would also be going with Kent's plan.
"Good, then we better be ready because once we move 2 km forward, they will sense us."
Mjolnir nodded. "Better be on top of your game because a Primordial is not the same as a Pseudo-Primordial."
Kent nodded, and a few seconds later, he opened his eyes on the outside and stood up.
Mjolnir appeared beside him, shirtless, his silver hair now tied in a ponytail, his barbarian physique giving him a muscular look.
He was clad in a pair of baggy trousers that seemed to tighten only at the ankles. He was barefoot and wielded no weapon. Then again, he was the weapon, so why have a weapon again?
Kent also transformed into his half-Draconic, half-barbarian form. In this form, he stood 7'4" tall, his shoulders held high. However, instead of a spear or sword, he held a hammer in his hand.
This hammer was a toned-down version of the original hammer wielded by the Nine Underworld Flame Blacksmith, Mjolnir.
Of course, Mjolnir conjured this one for him since he needed it for the battle ahead of them. And unlike Mjolnir, Kent wasn't shirtless. In fact, he was clad in full-body Draconic armor formed from the Chaos Scale Shield.
Kent didn't want to take any chances, so he went all out from the start.
"Are you ready?" Kent asked, and Mjolnir nodded.
"Then good luck, and if all things go well, we will be out of here by nightfall."
Mjolnir didn't say anything and just vanished from sight. Kent also tapped into his speed, which was being boosted by half his flame veins and the internal energy of his Heaven Splitting Jade Void Wings.
He had yet to summon the wings.
A few seconds after they moved, Kent came to a halt. Before him, a white-haired beauty hovered in the air, staring back at him with a furious expression.
This lady was Emmet, a white lightning dragon and the overlord of the Little Maiden Garden.
"I take it you are the one holding my weapon hostage," Kent asked with a relaxed smile. His question, however, caused the frown on Emmet's face to deepen.
Kent smiled and said, "Allow me to introduce myself. My name is Kent Madson. However, a very long time ago, I was known as the Blood Spear King, a legendary warrior whose tales had long since spread to every corner of this universe.
Before I died, I told my spear, whom you now have tied up in your basement, to roam and gain experience, maybe even become a living weapon one of these days. I never expected him to get caught so easily by a mere Dragon."
Somewhere underground, Sanguine coughed.
