Chapter 1945 Revenge Is a Bitch(30)
Kent saw and experienced the truth just 5 minutes into their battle.
If they fought in close combat, he would die before he knew how or when it happened.
He saw that in terms of speed and strength, he was way behind.
Even if he used his Heaven Splitting Jade Void Wing and harnessed its domain to the max, and even went to the extreme of adding all the Flame Veins at his disposal, he would still lose.
That was the honest truth, and so he chose to take that advantage from Emmet by tapping into his heaven-defying techniques in his arsenal to ensure that she was kept at bay.
So far, he had managed to do that using the Sixty-Six Hammer Art.
But there was another problem, and that was his own lack of strength.
His body was strong, but he wasn't at the point where harnessing all seven energies into the same attack was advisable. At best, he could go as far as four energies.
But against a Primordial, he had to bypass the limitation, and so he did, but at the cost of his own body slowly starting to reject him.
But part of the reason he chose to do that was also because of his heaven-defying healing speed and Lady Kenzie.
With the literal spirit of healing and vitality living inside his body, and on top of that, having the healing speed of a Demon God, he knew he could push his body even more, or at least for a couple of minutes.
Safe to say, just five minutes in, Kent knew he had to change tactics.
The Sixty-Six Hammer Art wasn't a technique he could use in his current form.
He created that technique only to realize, in the end, that it was far beyond what even a Celestial can handle. It is a technique to be used against Primordials and beyond.
Because of that, he was able to use it against Emmet, but also at the cost of his own body slowly giving up on him.
Thankfully, the Underworld Soul River had managed to overwhelm Emmet's soul, and that was the only saving grace.
The moment that worked, Kent knew he had to overwhelm her even more so that she would be forced to use Primordial Essence.
Thus, he tapped into the next dangerous technique in his arsenal.
"Finger of Destruction!"
The moment he unleashed the first form of the Finger of Destruction technique, the entire sky turned crimson, and waves of heat crashed down on Emmet.
In a span of two seconds, all the greenery in the surroundings had withered and turned to ash.
Then the ground even started to melt.
Kent, after his cultivation in the Chaos Chasm, had managed to form three Flame Cores, and right now, he was channeling the essence from all three.
On top of that, he was also harnessing the power of all his Flame Veins, something he started cultivating because of the Finger of Destruction.
Thus, just as the tip of a large and dangerous index finger appeared, Emmet's eyes narrowed, and her body transformed, taking on the look of a colossal dragon.
ROARRRRRRR!
She roared to life, and then she exploded forward, hoping to destroy the Finger of Destruction before it reached down to her.
"Not on my watch."
Kent formed a hand seal and pointed down... "Soul Universe: Meteor Shower!"

Thousands of lights appeared in the air, and then they moved, streaking across the sky, every last one of them aimed at Emmet.
Her wings spread much wider, and then she unleashed a terrifying domain of lightning, shattering thousands of meteorites in a second.
"Again!"
Kent unleashed more meteorites this time, coating them in Abyssal and Chaos Qi.
As they descended, the sky trembled, and Kent coughed up blood, but he still pointed forward, causing the thousands of meteors to rain down on Emmet.
The pressure from them forced her to be pushed back by a few more meters, but she still managed to break through the onslaught and aim her maw at the Finger of Destruction that was already halfway through the clouds.
Everything was happening so fast. In less than 2 seconds, Kent had unleashed two different waves of meteor showers, and Emmet had destroyed both. But that didn't mean he was done.
"Since that doesn't work, let the asteroids rain!"
The sky darkened, and one of the asteroids that Kent had been tempering since his time in the Medium World appeared.
The moment it did, Kent saw that Emmet's body was locked down for a moment. However, she broke free, but that moment of powerlessness didn't escape Kent's eyes.
He pushed the asteroid forward, and then a second followed right behind.
By the time Emmet managed to defend against both attacks, she had been pushed back enough for the Finger of Destruction to do its thing.
BOOOOOM
The Finger of Destruction landed on her back and exploded, creating a deep, dark cloud of smoke that immediately covered everything.
Kent had the Soul Map active, so he saw that Emmet had been thrown down, crashing into the ground with a heavy thud.
The pressure from the attack was so great that cuts had appeared on her skin.
Gasp
Kent gasped for breath, drops of sweat falling from his brow. The shockwave from the explosion also pushed him back, but he didn't sustain any damage from that, compared to Emmet.
Somewhere due east of Kent's location, a man with deep red hair and eyes that screamed flame and destruction sat inside a dungeon, chains binding both arms.
This man was Flame Lord Agni, a member of the Flame Temple and the man who gave Kent the first form of the Finger of Destruction.
After his mission to the Underworld, he was discovered by his enemies, who sought to take the first form of the Finger of Destruction from him.
When the Finger of Destruction is said to be one of the legendary techniques created by the Flame King long before the Primordial Era appeared, Agni was there, and luckily for him or perhaps unluckily for him, one of the seven pieces ended up in his hands.
Unfortunately, it was the first form of the technique.
They had been chasing him for years, and so after they found him again after years, he ran to the Flame Paradise to hide out for a few years.
Unfortunately, he fell into the hands of the Overlord of the East, and since then, he had become his prisoner.
Just now, when the Finger of Destruction exploded, Flame Lord Agni felt a wave of familiar aura and immediately recognized it as that of Kent, since he had interacted with him before.
"Lord Chaos... It is Lord Chaos." A smile formed on his face, and for the first time in a long time, he saw hope.
'If I can send out a signal, I am sure Lord Chaos will come save me.'
His mind spun, and then his legs moved, and runes started appearing on the ground.
