Chapter 855: Sect Leader
Chapter 855: Sect Leader
"Greetings, sect leader." Everyone went down on their knees the moment the dragon man appeared.
He was the sect leader of the Supreme Immortal Sect and the second strongest in the Celestial Conclave Planetary Alliance: Sect Leader Deimos.
He looked at Kent as if trying to see through him; however, after a few seconds, he sighed and turned toward the Pill Princess.
"Greetings, sect leader," she bowed further, still on her knees.
Inside the arena, the only person still standing upright was Kent. Even Lady Enzi had her head bowed, as did all the other elders around.
Sect Leader Deimos looked at the Pill Princess for a few seconds before turning back to Kent.
"Little brother, what is your name?" he asked with a smile.
Kent smiled back and answered, "Kent."
"Well, Kent, you can call me Deimos."
"A good name for a handsome dragon," Kent said, causing the smile on the sect leader’s face to bloom. He ignored everyone else and focused solely on Kent. After all, he was the reason why he came out of seclusion.
"I heard all you said, little brother, and I have to say, I am impressed. Though I have just one question, if you don’t mind."
"You can ask, sect leader."
"Is that an Ambrosia Apple you are eating?" Sect Leader Deimos asked, and Kent smiled.
"It’s indeed an Ambrosia Apple." Kent took out a fresh Ambrosia Apple and threw it at the sect leader, who caught it firmly in his grip.
"This is..." A shocked look appeared on his face when he sensed the grade of the apple.
This sight caused everyone to start wondering just what grade of Ambrosia Apple Kent had given to the sect leader to cause such a reaction.
They all looked at Kent, but none could ask him what had happened. In the end, the sect leader looked at Kent and smiled.
"When you are free, come to the core sect. I have something to discuss with you."
Kent nodded.
"In that case, the duel is over; you can all go back to your cultivation."
With that, everything came to an end, and nobody could understand how a battle that was meant to be a good one ended so abruptly, with many events making absolutely no sense.
Kent went back to the floating island where Lady Enzi was waiting for him with many questions on her mind.
Naturally, Kent planned on answering them all.

[Inner Sect – Inside the Immortal Cave of the Sect Leader]
The moment the sect leader returned to his dwelling, he sat down in a lotus posture. Then, with a trembling hand, he took out the immortal-grade Ambrosia apple that Kent had given him.
His hands, which had firmly caught the apples when Kent threw them, were now shaking as sweat broke out on his forehead, unsure of what to think.
"Just how?" he muttered, looking at the fruit.
During the duel, he had been observing Kent from a distance, just like he had been doing from the very moment Kent stepped into the sect.
He was informed of a rare genius who had mastered twelve divine-grade flame arts, and so, for the past few months since Kent joined the sect, he had been observing him.
However, during the duel, he sensed something unusual about the apple Kent was eating, so he decided to check it out.
But who would have thought he would find himself now in possession of Ambrosia apples—and it wasn’t just an ordinary one like the ones he had eaten in the past. This was an immortal-grade Ambrosia apple.
"With this, I will be able to break more limits and ascend in a few years," he smiled slightly, then sat properly.
He could not wait any longer. Not when he has an immortal grade apple in his hand.
With just two bites, he consumed the apple, feeling the energy surge into his body.

[Core Sect – Pill Princess’s POV]
The Pill Princess, after her defeat, left the Flame Master Arena with a lot of thinking to do.
First, she saw what true talent looks like, and that alone was enough for her to see the error of her ways.
However, while she was panicking inside that her defeat would be accompanied by her calling Kent all those ridiculous names, she was relieved when Kent said she was free to go.
This prompted her to conduct a deep soul search and ask herself if she would have been able to allow Kent to go if she had won the duel.
The answer to that was no, and that answer was what finally gave her the resolution to all her questions.
She finally realized that in her bid to become the best, she had lost sight of what she truly wanted, which was to become the best alchemist there is.
She, at one point, wanted only to make pills and help the needy, but after fame got to her, she lost sight of what she stood for. It only got worse when she became the disciple of the Pill Emperor.
Now, she can see she had done more damage in the years she spent making sure everybody knew she was the best, and now that Kent had opened her eyes, the regret finally set in.
At the moment, she was cooped up in her immortal cave shedding bitter tears, unsure of what to do, how to make amends, or even if she was worthy of coming back to the real her ever again.
She had spent years believing she was the best when, in fact, aside from alchemy, she wasn’t much.
The Ice Maiden and the other seeded candidates had long surpassed her, and now, after failing even to make Kent move back with any of her attacks, she finally realized that.
For the next couple of days, she would shed her tears, but once she returned to the path she was meant to walk, her future would indeed be limitless, as she had been told many years ago.
Meanwhile, the other four seeded candidates, after the duel, also returned to their immortal caves; however, instead of lazing around, they all went back to work.
They had just seen what Kent could do, and while they would love to gloat—especially the Crystal Dragon Prince—and say they were the best and superior to everyone else, the outcome had already given them the reality check they so desperately needed.
They are powerful, but compared to Kent, they aren’t much.
But it wasn’t just them.
Almost every disciple who saw the battle had a change of heart, and so they all went back to training, aiming to at least rise to the level Kent is at at the moment.

[Core of the Universe – Lady Universe’s POV]
It had been a while since Lady Universe sat down to watch Kent.
After the events that nearly made her cry, she took a couple of days off.
However, now she was back, and while she was happy to see Kent dominate the sect and make everyone look like a joke, her smile was short-lived.
The repercussions that followed the events that put Gaia and her sisters in a deep sleep were now bubbling up, and as such, she could only hope the one at the receiving end would be able to handle it.
’I hope you are ready, Chaos; your life is about to take a sharp turn.’
