Primordial Chaos Dragon Tower: Harem System

Chapter 871: Falling Into a Trap

Chapter 871: Falling Into a Trap

[2 Days Away from the Teleportation Mountain – Bone Cemetery]

"Iver moved back," Kent shouted, unleashing a power sword attack just in time to collide with a piercing bone unleashed by the Bone Dancing Arcane beast.

Adina moved in with a quick attack, one that landed on the body of a colossal bone-type beast. Its bones squeaked but didn’t break.

The bones felt like metal that wouldn’t dent or break.

"Adina, coordinate with Iver. I will find a way to kill it," Kent said before running toward the Bone Dancing Arcane beast.

It had been five days since Kent absorbed the second core. However, after absorbing the second core, he chose to take a break and instead focus more on advancing toward the Teleportation Mountain.

Kent planned to send Adina and Iver away, and then he would get back to the hunt. So they had been on the move for the past five days, and so far, they had killed five beasts.

Kent took the cores and gave the bodies to Iver, who was more than happy with his gains.

However, upon arriving at the Bone Cemetery, a place where only the bones of beasts and humanoids are found, the scene changed.

The beast there was the Bone Dancing Arcane beast, an ancient type of beast made purely of bone. It had great strength.

Kent, who didn’t plan on fighting a level 9 Spirit Lord, saw this as a way to test his strength against a beast of that stage.

He will continue the hunt after his two teammates are gone, so it was the best time to test how much strong he had become.

Of course, he wasn’t using his soul weapons, since it had proven inadequate in this battle considering the beast was practically impenetrable.

The plan was to use the same tactic they used in the past battles to handle this beast, but when they tried, it failed, resulting in this dangerous battle they never planned for.

Kent moved close and unleashed another sword attack.

"Transcendent Heavenly Sword."

Kent formed ten powerful swords and unleashed all ten at the Bone Dancing Arcane beast. However, the beast coiled its bony tail and defended against all ten swords.

Of course, that wasn’t Kent’s main attack. Using the shockwave and the dust in the air, he activated the Flame Wheels skill, giving him a boost in speed.

He zipped across the dusty ground, appearing beneath the bone belly of the Bone Dancing Arcane beast.

’Got your ass,’ Kent said inwardly as he unleashed another attack, this time using pure, unfiltered sword aura to coat his sword.

The dark golden sword aura formed into a sharp arc, cutting clean through the belly of the beast.

Iver used the momentary distraction caused by Kent’s attack to circle the beast and land an attack at where it couldnt easily defend.

Kent was impressed with how Iver’s knowledge of battle seemed to grow every by every battle they fought. He had a way of using the smallest advantage to make the most out of it.

Kent landed another attack taking the attention away from Iver.

Iver seized the chance to unleash a powerful attack at the head of the Bone Dancing Arcane beast.

Its bones squeaked yet again, but Adina was already on the move with Kent, who turned his left arm into a dragon claw.

Adina unleash a sword Arc and Kent Also unleash swung his claw sending red and golden energy arcs at the beast.

Both attacks landed on the Bone Dancing Arcane beast, causing a loud, squeaky scream from it.

Kent moved again, jumped onto the back of the beast, stabbing his sword into the large vertebrae of the creature.

"Iver..."

Kent wasn’t even done when Iver flew into the air and threw his spear like a terrifying javelin, driving a hole through the Bone Dancing Arcane beast’s back.

However, it swung its body, sending Kent flying back, and then it took to the air.

"Shards of Damnation." Kent didn’t allow it to fly away. He activated a skill, driving thousands of shards through its wings.

They all pierced its wings, with a few even scraping the bones.

Kent managed to bring it down.

But that was a mistake he never saw coming.

With the colossal body of the beast, the moment it landed on the ground, a shockwave erupted everywhere, sending all three combatants flying back.

Kent was sent flying toward a large stone. However, before he could slam into the stone, an arrow appeared through it.

"What—"

Kent smirked, forming a hand seal.

Suddenly, the scene in the space started changing. A few seconds later, the colossal body of the Bone Dancing Arcane beast lay dead at the center of the cemetery, with Adina seated on its back, playing a zither.

Around her, a team of nineteen Dark Elves, most holding daggers, could be seen. The strongest among them was a level 8 Spirit Lord. He held a crossbow and was the one thet sneak attacked Kent.

"Looks like you fell for it," Adina said with a smile, putting away the zither.

"What is happening?" the leader of the third strongest mercenary group, the Veilbound Order, who came after Adina, asked.

"You fell into our trap, losers," Iver appeared in the air, holding a white flag with a few dots on it in his firm grip.

The Veilbound Order members recognized him immediately.

"Iver, what are you doing?" the leader of the Veilbound Order asked, but Iver just smirked.

"Don’t act like you are shocked, Domino. This is clearly a trap we set, and you fell for it. Now, keep quiet and die."

"Hahahaha... Iver, do you think you have what it takes to kill us?" one of them said, laughing at Iver like he was the most ridiculous person he had ever seen.

However, he wasn’t done laughing when a chilling tone entered his head, followed by a piercing pain that came from the back of his head and exited through the front.

"He is right, you all should keep quiet and just die."

Kent didn’t know if they heard him or not, but in the blink of an eye, all eighteen members of the Veilbound Order died.

It was a sneak attack, so even the level 8 Spirit Lord didn’t see it coming. Kent appeared from thin air wearing a cloak. He looked at Adina, who sighed in relief and smiled.

"Told you it would work," Kent laughed.

Adina glared at him and then sighed. A small smile appeared on her lips before she sat back on the back of the Bone Dancing Arcane beast.

Acting as a bait wasnt something she wanted, but she had to for the sake of handling a potential danger to her safty.

Kent extended his hand, and the flag flew from Iver and entered his hand. It had more dots on it now, and a few runic arcs started appearing on it.

Kent put it away and removed the cloak he had spent 400 million tower points on just for this ambush. He couldnt use the void yet so he had to use the cloak to hide himself.

A couple of hours ago, they arrived at the Bone Cemetery, where they fought fiercely with the Bone Dancing Arcane beast.

However, they managed to kill it, but not without drawing attention. A team of mercenaries felt the chaos, so they made their way toward them.

With the tower that could actively scan a 50,000-mile radius, they had enough time to lay an ambush, so Kent picked one of the formations Alina gave him and set it up.

Adina’s zither playing was merely a ruse to lower the mercenaries’ guard, allowing Kent to strike when thet never expected it.

Thankfully, with the Veilbound Order recognizing Iver and, not taking him seriously, Kent managed to kill them and steal their souls into his soul flag.

[The master is just 2 days away from the Teleportation Mountain. If the master leaves now, you will reach the Teleportation Mountain before the next team picks up on your trail.]

’That is the plan, tower.’

Kent looked at Adina and then turned back to Iver. ’They have helped me greatly, so I guess sending them away will be the right thing to do.’

After resting for a while, they left, speeding toward the Teleportation Mountains.
