Chapter 899: The Apocalypse (3)
Chapter 899: The Apocalypse (3)
Just like how Princess Lovina appeared, Alina came the same way. She appeared out of thin air, and the first thing she did was form a hand seal.
The formation that appeared spread over a large portion of the battlefield. However, it was merely a shell for the main deal.
She then went ahead and activated the main formation using complex hand seals that nobody on the battlefield understood.
It activated, and thousands of smaller killing arrays opened within the larger array, forming a complex formation that immediately locked onto the bodies of the Sea Beasts.
"You brought this on yourself."
With that, four-meter-tall spears coated in thick, potent poison started raining down on the sea beasts. None of the spears missed their targets, so within a few seconds, thousands of sea beasts died, and more kept dying.
Alina remained in the formation, looking like the angel of death as thousands of spears rained down on the sea beasts.
The Ten Thousand Demon Killing Formation was an original masterpiece, which she had been working on during their time in Fedora.
She managed to complete it a few days ago.
This also means, today was the first time using it.
Initially, she wanted to create the ’Battle Matrix,’ which she revealed to Kent after their battle on the third floor.
Naturally, she had started working on that and had even made some progress on it.
However, she put a pin in that and instead chose to create something she could use in a large-scale battlefield that didn’t require her to ask her sisters for help in activating it.
So she created this formation, and now, the sea beasts were at her mercy. However, Alina held no mercy in her eyes.
"Good lord, just what tier is this formation?" Supreme Elder Lance asked, looking at the thousands of beasts dying by the second.
After Lady Enzi killed the last Supreme Elder and his cohort, Elder Lance was made the new Supreme Elder of the outer section of the Supreme Immortal Sect.
"It’s like the more she kills, the stronger the formation becomes," Lady Liora said, unsure how to feel about the killing formation.
Princess Lovina just smiled. "She is an Array/Formation King, so that is a Tier 12 Killing Formation. However, like you said, the formation indeed grows stronger as it kills more people."
"Is that even possible, for a formation to grow stronger?" Lady Enzi asked.
"I am not sure about out there, but in this world, she is the only one who can do that. She is quite brilliant when it comes to formation," Princess Lovina was painting Alina’s image well in the minds of the people watching her display.
To them, there was no way one should be able to activate such a grand formation alone and kill thousands with it while it grows stronger from the kills.
So hearing from someone who actually knew her was, in a way, making them see Alina in a way none of them would forget.
Five minutes into the battle, after hundreds of thousands had died, the Sea Beasts called for a retreat. Thousands immediately abandoned the battlefield and started retreating back into the sea.
"Let them go," Alina’s voice covered the battlefield, halting everyone who was planning to chase after them.
In mere minutes, the surviving beasts dove back into the sea.
Alina deactivated the Ten Thousand Demon Killing Formation and formed another hand seal. This time, a Tier 11 formation opened.
"Superimposing Void Formation."
When the formation opened, it descended into the sea. "Since you retreated, then forever remain in your kingdom until I say otherwise."
Alina coldly spoke as she activated the formation at maximum power.
"She sealed them." Sect Leader Deimos looked stunned, unsure how to handle what had just happened.
"Since when did sealing the void become this easy?" Lady Enzi said, looking at Alina, who was staring back in their direction. With a single movement, she appeared beside Princess Lovina.
"The seal in the Death Region will break in 7 minutes. We should alert everyone," Alina said the moment she arrived.
Sect Leader Deimos clapped his hands, and a powerful force spread everywhere. "Those who can still fight, gather around. Those wounded should be attended to by the healers, for the main battle is on the way."
The sect disciples immediately began flying as they arranged themselves in order. The outer disciples were all in one section, the inner in another section, and the core in their own section.
The various races in Sonox followed the arrangement of the sect. Knowing this was the sect, they all threw away their pride and started listening to orders.
The seven demon states formed one section, with each state forming five lines. The Half-Elves followed up, then the Dragons, Dwarves, the 11 Beast Kingdoms in their own section, then the Elves last.
They had sustained the biggest loss in the just-ended battle. However, they lined up with Lady Aelith, who managed to not only kill that sneaky seahorse but also kill the Sea Dragon standing in front of them. The Elven queen was beside her.
She was tired, but she was not about to look weak—not when the Supreme Immortal Sect was around.
Uncle Drake, Vaelros, Kaizo, Zareth, and Sylara stood on the other side. Uncle Drake was, in a way, happy they were here, for he knew that if they had not arrived, things would have been worse.
Of course, if he were to turn into his dragon form, he would have killed the seven sea kings much faster. However, that would have also affected his team, which he wasn’t ready to do.
In a way, the seven sea kings planned well and executed their move in such a way that he would be caught in the heart of the battle, and their plan worked.
However, he was now free, and thus, he was ready for phase two.
"Don’t worry, Uncle Drake, the main battle is on the way. You will get to kill some vampires," Kaizo said, looking pumped and ready for battle.
Sect Leader Deimos looked at everyone and nodded before he started to speak.
"I know this might come as a shock to you, but information reaching me now is that the seal that has been holding the Ancient Vampire Race is breaking. Four minutes from now, it will break, and the battle will come to us.
Now, I know most of you are already aware of the evil that has been locked in that place. However, to those of you who don’t know, the danger coming has existed for thousands of years before the Battle of Parting.
They survived and now, they are breaking free."
Everybody stiffened when they heard the last words.
They had heard stories of the ancient Battle of Parting and knew it was one that happened several thousand years ago.
However, while they saw what kind of terror it was in the ancient battlefield of Parting, the idea that they would be facing beings from that era was one they weren’t prepared for.
Naturally, the fear could be seen on their faces. Sect Leader Deimos smiled.
"It is not something you all should be worried about. The Supreme Immortal Sect will take the lead. But I can’t guarantee we will be able to do everything.
However, I promise you, with us here, the world won’t come to an end."
Immediately after Sect Leader Deimos ended his words, the clouds started turning red.
"They are here."
Princess Lovina looked toward Vexthra, who nodded at her.
At the same time, a large crack appeared in the air, and the aura of blood and evil began pouring out, causing everyone to turn pale.
