Chapter 898: The Apocalypse (2)
Chapter 898: The Apocalypse (2)
Thunder rocked the heavens as golden lightning flashed through the cloud.
If one looked closely, one would see the silhouette of a majestic titan appear in the cloud when the lightning flashed.
Anything the lightning flashed, his silhouette would show, causing many hearts to tremble.
After a few seconds of scaring thousands, what followed next was a spectacle that every warrior on the battlefield had to pause for a moment to witness.
Just when the thunder rocked the clouds for the fifth time, powerful bolts of lightning tore from the clouds and turned thousands of sea beasts to ash.
None of the beasts that the lightning touched survived. Their bodies were burnt by the agonizing fury of the golden lightning.
A voice came, accompanied by an imposing figure who was bathed in golden lightning from head to toe, his fist coated in the same potent golden lightning. He wore no shirt, so his bare-chested physique was on display.
He descended into the battle, blasting thousands of sea beasts away.
Those closer were reduced to nothing, and even those far from him were wounded, some beyond healing.
"Kaizo has arrived."
Kaizo laughed like a lunatic for a few seconds before charging in the direction where Uncle Drake was handling the seven sea kings.
However, just when he was a few meters away, a thick black chain tore through the void and blasted the Manta Ray King away.
"This one is mine." Vaelros appeared, his body wrapped in two thick chains. He was also bare-chested with red line tattoos all over his body.
The attack sent the Manta Ray King flying uncontrollably into the distance, where the moment he landed, his instinct screamed at him to run.
However, he could only think of running. The moment he landed, a red-clawed hand tore through the void and dug hold into his chest.
The hand moved, and that was when Sylara appeared, holding the Manta Ray King’s heart in her clawed hand.
RUMBLE
As if that wasn’t enough, the cloud churned and red lightning flashed through it, revealing a silhouette of a large dragon and a serpent.
The entire battlefield was brought to a standstill as the two creatures appeared with a singular figure standing atop the serpent’s head.
"Ladies and gentlemen, Zareth has arrived."
The moment he spoke, he raised his hand and uttered a single word: "Rain."
The clouds churned even more vigorously than before. Then, from the clouds, thousands of small purple portals opened. From within, thousands of arrows made from an unknown substance started raining down.
Kent’s four original undead appeared, and with them came chaos.
Nobody asked any questions because they knew which side these four people were on.
Kaizo arrived before Uncle Drake, who looked at him for a few seconds and nodded.
"I can handle it from here," Uncle Drake said, and then he transformed into his dragon form. The moment he revealed his dragon form, flames engulfed him, enclosing the six sea kings, including Kaizo.
However, Kaizo merely smiled and then vanished, appearing outside the domain of fire. "So he is the one Master was talking about. He is not too bad."
Sylara appeared beside Kaizo and looked at Uncle Drake, who wasn’t holding back anymore, knowing four powerful allies had arrived.
He could finally unleash a bit more of his strength without any worry.
Kaizo just nodded and then turned to face the thousands of sea beasts still coming out.
"Time to handle the small fries before the main dish arrives."
Though they would prefer fighting thousands of Spirit Ascension stage experts instead of these small fries, they knew this was a war, and one doesn’t choose one’s opponent when in war.
They moved, and in the blink of an eye, they started killing the sea beasts.
The tide of the battle slowly started taking shape.
---
[30 km away from the battlefield]
Kent’s ladies stood in the air overlooking the battlefield.
"Kaizo sure knows how to make an entrance," Unity said, knowing deep down she wouldn’t be able to beat Kaizo when it came to making an appearance on the battlefield.
"He is called Kaizo for a reason," Vexthra chuckled.
They were in the middle of wrapping up their search in the Unbreakable City (Third floor) when a quest message for Kent appeared.
However, since Kent was still in his enlightened state, the tower forwarded the quest to Vexthra, forcing them to abandon everything and come handle it.
They initially planned on coming out all at once and ending the battle. However, just when they arrived, Vexthra sensed a much darker power slowly breaking free.
The quest confirmed this danger the next second.
Aside from that, Ingrid told her a ship housing powerful people was heading toward the location of the battle.
As a voidling who had improved so much thanks to the training they had in Fedora, she was able to see far into the void and knew the people coming were friendly.
Vexthra then chose to send only the four troublemakers to take control over the battlefield while they waited for whatever was coming to make its appearance.
"They are almost here," Ingrid said, looking into the distance.
Suddenly, the void cracked, and a large ship emerged.
The moment it came out of the void, formations lit up all around as more ships appeared out of thin air, housing thousands of disciples from the supreme immortal sect.
"Kill them all," Lady Enzi, who was leading the charge this time, gave the command, and every last disciple from the Supreme Immortal Sect jumped down and entered the fray.
"They are from the sect," Vexthra commented, looking at disciples quickly gaining control of the battlefield.
Just when every last disciple joined the battlefield, the void cracked, and the sect leader, alongside several elders, appeared on the last ship.
"Princess, time for you to act." Vexthra turned to Princess Lovina, who smiled and vanished.
Far in the distance, Lady Enzi, who was about to charge into battle to protect her disciple, paused and looked to her left.
Princess Lovina appeared, startling everyone.
"Who are you?" Sect Leader Deimos asked. Naturally, sensing her aura, they both knew she was a terrifying opponent, so they raised their guards.
If she were to be an enemy, with their number, they would be able to handle her.
Princess Lovina merely smiled as if knowing what they were thinking, "Kent sent me."
Hearing Kent’s name, they all calmed down.
"Where is he?" Lady Enzi asked, unsure if she should trust this lady. Naturally, she wasn’t the easy-trusting kind.
"Kent has been in close seclusion for the past month."
"Then how did he send you if he wasn’t even aware of this battle?"
Lady Enzi looked at Princess Lovina with a suspicious gaze. However, instead of frowning, Princess Lovina just smiled.
"Kent knew of this battle two years ago and had already made plans for it. Though I have to say he didn’t see the Sea Race joining hands with the Hand to attack.
That said, there are two dangers coming. One is the Ancient Vampire races sealed in the Death Region. They will be free in the next 15 minutes. Aside from them, the Hand has started an inevitable ritual that will open the door to the apocalypse.
Safe to say this world is in danger, so I came to tell you all to be ready; it is going to be a dangerous one."
The faces of everyone turned pale, hearing that there was this much danger looming over them.
Sect Leader Deimos, on the other hand, didn’t seem that alarmed, for he was already aware of the vampires. However, he didn’t expect to hear that the main danger was rather coming from the Hand he had disregarded as a credible threat all these years.
"This battle must end fast." Lady Enzi turned back to the battlefield and was about to charge when Princess Enzi held her back.
"No need," Princess Lovina looked to her left and nodded.
Suddenly, Alina appeared in the air and formed a hand seal.
"Ten Thousand Demon Killing Formation: Activate."
