Chapter 920: The Sea Race Fate
Chapter 920: The Sea Race Fate
The battle came to an end the moment Lord Forsaken exploded.
Naturally, only Uncle witnessed that.
On the otherside of the crack, since nobody came out two hours after everyone else retreated, they began to sense that something had changed.
Of course, their guard only lowered when, three hours after they retreated, two people came out of the crack.
"Kent" Nyss was the first person to approach Kent the moment he walked out of the crack with Uncle Drake.
She was among the disciples who had retreated earlier. Aside from a few broken bones and cuts, she appeared to be fine.
Kent looked at her and smiled. "You’ve become much stronger since the last time we met." Kent held her hand and led her toward the various kings and the Sect elders.
"Sorry for being late. I was caught up in something I couldn’t escape from," Kent said when he approached them. They looked at him and sighed.
"It isn’t your fault. After all, had it not been for your people coming, Sonox would have long since fallen to the vampires or even the Sea Race," Sect Leader Deimos said, and the rest nodded.
"The fact that you came when we really needed saving is already enough," Queen Jascia also said, though she wasn’t in the right body to be active.
Just like Sect Leader Deimos, she and most of the leaders had burned their life force for the battle, so they were very tired. The only reason they were even awake now was to ensure that everything was indeed over first.
Kent looked at their faces and smiled. He pointed his finger upward, and a formation appeared. Then, from the formation, Spirit Grape Fruits started flying out, landing in the palm of every warrior around.
Even the injured and unconscious ones received one. The vampires were the same. Now that they were all under Asha’s control, they wouldn’t be able to rebel even if they wanted to.
Naturally, shocked expressions spread across everyone’s faces when they received these fruits.
"It will help with your fatigue and speed up your healing. After that, you can all go back to the Dead Region and collect the bodies of the fallen."
Their faces sank when they heard Kent’s words.
It was a battle, and they knew people were bound to die. However, the odds they went against weren’t ones they had seen coming.
So, in a way, the deaths were several times more painful than they should have been if it had been a fair battle.
"It was a battle to protect your world and loved ones. Those who fell believed in that resolve, and that was why they fought with all they had.
The best we can do now is ensure there won’t be a next time, that their sacrifice won’t be in vain." They lightened up a bit.
"I will send packages to your various kingdoms and states. All of you will receive some, so when you do, use them well to strengthen yourselves. Though the Forsaken Race won’t be coming back again, there is no telling who might appear next time.
So let’s prepare and make sure that next time, not even a single one of you will fall in combat." They nodded, but one wounded half-elf raised his hand to ask a question.
Kent, of course, allowed him to ask.
"What about the Sea Race? Are we just going to let them go scot-free?" The look on this half-elf’s face showed he was very angry. And he should be. His best friend had fallen victim to an attack from a Sea Beast.
It wasn’t just him who had that question in mind. Several others wore angry looks on their faces.
Kent just smiled and pointed to the vampires. "Just like what happened to these vampires, the same thing awaits them." Kent flew into the air and amplified his voice.
"I declare that from today onwards, the Vampire Race and the Sea Beasts will become guardians of Sonox.
Your various leaders will receive tokens that will allow them to command them when the need arises." Kent looked around and saw that most weren’t happy about his declaration, so he chose to clarify.
"Killing them will be a waste. Of course, if there are necromancers among you, it would be a bountiful harvest. However, none of you can raise the dead, so why kill them when we can make them servants for good?
I personally despise slavery, so we won’t be turning them into mindless drones. However, we also won’t be allowing them to attack this world ever again."
Kent snapped his finger, and Alina appeared. "This is Alina, my beautiful wife. She is a Formation/Array King. You can just call her the Rune King if you wish.
She has already started working on a formation that will forever make the Sea Beasts guardians of this world. Rest assured, they will forever continue to serve for generations to come, until all kingdoms and states in this world deem it enough to free them.
They went against the world, which housed them and fed them, and thus, their punishment will be passed down for generations to come."
This time, after listening to his reasoning, they calmed down a little. It would take them a while to fully process the situation, but soon they would come to terms with this new arrangement.
Soon, everyone went back to their various kingdoms. The sect also left, leaving only Lady Liora and Enzi. One of them wanted to speak with Kent, and the other wanted to speak with Vari.
In the end, Kent took them into the tower, causing Lady Liora to widen her eyes when they arrived in the Body Tower.
Kent asked his wives to meet them there since he had no plans of sending them to the Harem Tower just yet.
Val was already awake, but the damage dealt to her body was far more severe, so she chose to fully heal inside the Yin Pool before coming out.
Kent only stood at a distance to examine her before leaving.
He would reward her when she was done healing.
---
A week has passed since the battle. Life hadn’t returned to normal yet, but thanks to Kent’s generosity spreading far and wide, everyone had begun to adapt.
Kent returned to the sect with Lady Enzi, while Lady Liora stayed in the tower to fully work on her partially balanced Yin-Yang Death Circle. Vari, of course, was helping her with that.
Kent had some matters to handle before the interplanetary competition in two weeks. The sect informed the alliance of what had happened, requesting an extension of the date, but the request was rejected.
Naturally, it was unreasonable that the offer was turned down, considering many had died, including disciples and sect elders.
However, even though the request was denied, the disciples didn’t mind. After fighting against Spirit Kings and the like, they were more than ready to face the competition with deadly precision.
Kent also made sure they were prepared.
However, before that, Kent had to attend to his own business. After all, he had quests to review and his gains to examine after his Blood Enlightenment.
Aside from that, he had memory keys waiting to be used to unlock more memories of his past lives.
He entered a two-week seclusion, which was the equivalent of over 300 days for him inside the tower.
