Chapter 943: FaceTime With Lady Azela’s Mom
Chapter 943: FaceTime With Lady Azela’s Mom
"Where are we going?" Lady Azela asked, walking beside Kent as they headed deeper into the city. Now that she was out of reach of the Blue Flame Pill Palace, she seemed more relaxed.
Kent looked at her and smiled. "We are heading toward the Aerithyne Pill Alliance headquarters."
"What are we going to do there?" she asked again.
"I have a duel with some arrogant Pill Saint who just hasn’t met her match yet," Kent smirked and shook his head, already planning the best way to humiliate the Pill Saint that he had to come from 370,000 years in the future just to defeat.
"So you are an Alchemist," Lady Azela said, now realising why they were heading in the direction of a place only Alchemists dared go.
"First, however, we have to make a quick stop. I must talk to your mother and let her know of the sequence of events that will happen in the coming days."
"Events like?"
"Killing that Vince guy, of course." Kent pulled her away from the road, and they entered an inn. He booked a room, and soon, they were inside a not-so-lavish room, but it was good enough to accommodate what he had planned on doing.
"So you are actually planning on going after him?" Lady Azela didn’t immediately call her mother. She got curious and asked Kent a question.
To her, once she got back to her sect, not only would she be unreachable even if someone like the Old Man in Pyris City came, but they might actually be running to their death.
The formation protecting her sect was enough to kill a cultivator at the Peak Heaven Ascension stage.
According to her plans, once they returned to her sect, she could disregard all those on the outside and focus on refining the Soul Spirit into a Soul Puppet.
Naturally, if he succeeded on that front, then not only would she have an even more powerful helper, but she could then come out for revenge on the people who sought to kill her and take what she rightfully owned.
Kent knew what she was thinking, but he still made her aware of why he planned on going after the Blue Flame Pill Palace.
"I won’t be going after them for you. That is not why I will be killing him. The reason has something to do with the fact that they have a Soul Extinguishing Pill in their possession.
Do you know that one of the forbidden pills in existence is the Soul Extinguishing Pill? To make one, over a thousand souls of mortals are required as the main ingredient.
So the fact that they have one, even if they aren’t the ones who made it, I must punish them." A look of disdain appeared on Kent’s face.
"The path of Pill Making is sacred, so to tarnish it this far is something I would not tolerate."
Lady Azela examined Kent’s expression for a few minutes before taking out the orb that allowed her to talk to her mother.
She set it down and then drew some array symbols in the air before channelling her energy into the orb.
Almost as if her mother had been waiting for her call, the orb glowed blue, and a face appeared on it.
"Azela, where are you? Are you okay?" The woman, whose appearance was not much older than Lady Azela’s, spoke rather quickly when she saw her daughter’s face.
It was after she asked the questions that she saw Kent smiling at her.
"Who are you?" the woman asked, her eyes narrowing as she looked at the handsome brat who had his hand resting on Lady Azela’s shoulder.
"You can call me Kent, the man who will be delivering your daughter to you in one piece." The woman on the other end didn’t say anything when she heard Kent’s words.
She turned to her daughter, and while they didn’t make it obvious, Kent knew they used their eyes to communicate. This only added to the smile on Kent’s face.
He didn’t know how a grown-up like Lady Azela could still appear like a baby before her mother.
’In a way, it kind of looks cute,’ Kent said in his head and waited for the two ladies to end their conversation with their eyes.
"You said your name is Kent, right?" the lady asked.
"The one and only."
"My name is Kami. I am the Ancestor of the Heaven’s Eye Sect and Azela’s mother. Tell me, Kent, when will you be bringing my daughter?"
"I have some business on planet Aerithyne, but once I am done, I will head toward your world. From what I’ve learned, your world from where I am currently will take one week to reach, so expect your daughter in seven days, maybe eight at most, once I am done with my work here."
"If you manage to bring her, like I promised, I will reward you greatly," Lady Kami said, and Kent smiled.
"I look forward to that. However, I didn’t call to tell you when we will arrive in your world. I called to have you send a message to someone for me."
"Who?"
"His name is Vince. I believe he is the Vice Leader of the Blue Flame Pill Palace and the one pursuing your daughter.
I have reason to believe he is currently in your world and surrounded by your sect, along with seven other powerful cultivators.
I don’t know how he managed to get to your world that fast, but he is daring, and I want a message to reach him."
Kent could see it; the lady shuddered when she heard his words. Of course, that shudder wasn’t from fear but from anger—anger so strong that, had it not been for her daughter cooling her down, she would have dashed out to teach the bastards a lesson.
"Relax, Mom, listen to what Kent has to say first."
"I am listening."
Kent smiled. "Write some words on a scroll and send it flying from the sect. Make sure it goes out fast, and it must contain some of your aura so they can easily sense it."
"What words should I write in the scroll?"
Kent smiled weakly. "Tell the old man from the Blue Flame Pill Palace to stop wasting his time. Lady Azela has long since left Pyris City, right under his nose. If he wants to get her back, he should scream his soul out and walk down the street naked.
But before that, he can go collect the bodies of his people, who will long be dead by the time he finishes reading this message.
Also, inform him that he will be penalised for possessing a Soul Extinguishing Pill. I will also report this to the Pill Alliances in every Pill World and make sure that after he is dead, his legacy, the Blue Flame Pill Palace, will be demolished and forgotten.
One last thing, tell him not to open the package that will be delivered in two days. It was meant for somebody else."
By the time Kent was done with his words, both Lady Azela and her mother could only stare at him with widened eyes.
"I want all I said written verbatim. Not even a single comma should be missed."
Kent laughed. "You can sign it with the name Chaos."
