Chapter 944: Kent’s Care Package

Chapter 944: Kent’s Care Package

[Planet Nictus - Heaven’s Eye Sect - Lady Kami’s POV]

It had only been three minutes after Lady Kami’s conversation with Kent. However, even after the conversation, she couldn’t help but shudder whenever she thought of the words Kent told her to write.

They sounded like a joke when Kent was saying them. However, if she were to take in Kent’s expression while saying those words, not only did he appear like the greatest evil she had ever seen, but also the most dangerous person she had ever laid eyes on.

From mere words and expression, Kent managed to leave an impression on her—one that, at the moment, she could only pray in her heart that her daughter would be delivered to her in one piece.

She was seated behind a table with a few blank scrolls and ink on it, so she went to work right away.

After thirty minutes, she managed to put down everything Kent said, not even missing a single word or even a comma.

She furled the scroll, tied it with a silver rope, and flew out of the room.

The Heaven’s Eye Sect was a grand sight to behold.

It was situated in a mountainous area, with most of the buildings constructed using jade crystals and other rare minerals.

One could even tell from the mere aura surrounding the place that the power of fate was deeply rooted in the sect. However, while that was true, there was also a strange sense of familiarity—one that, if Kent were around, he would sense.

The aura of Chaos energy. It was faint, but as Lady Kami flew past that area, the shockwaves following her seemed to affect the Chaos energy, causing the plants around to die instantly.

After flying for a few minutes, which in fact had moved her several miles from her resting area, she brought out the scroll and coated it with her energy before throwing it away.

It vanished from sight in an instant, and then she retreated back to her resting area. If something unusual happened, she would learn about it in the days to come.

[20 miles from the Heaven’s Eye Sect - Eastern Border]

Just twenty miles away from the sect, three Heavenly Ascension Stage cultivators were seated in lotus posture, their senses spread wide, covering a large part of the sect’s outer regions.

The formations there were much weaker, allowing them to see through them.

They had been keeping a close eye on things around the sect, to the point that when something suddenly flashed across the horizon, all three of them noticed and vanished.

A few seconds later, they appeared in the air, one of them grabbing the scroll that was flying out of the sect. They quickly opened it, and when they read the first two lines, their faces turned pale.

"Call the Vice Leader now."

---

[30 miles from the Heaven’s Eye Sect - Southern Border]

Vince, the Vice Leader of the Blue Flame Pill Palace, was seated in a lotus posture with his senses spread. Because of his powerful Mind and Soul, he was able to see much further into the Elders in the outer section of the sect.

He had arrived a few hours after the auction.

He knew the chances of Lady Azela escaping back to her world were high, so he used a method that cost a fortune to reach Planet Nictus much faster. This way, he would be able to intercept her when she came.

However, it had already been hours, and the elders he had called had also arrived. But despite all borders of the sect being sealed by them, Lady Azela and her mother had not entered his sensing range or that of the elders.

This clearly didn’t sit well with him, and he was furious.

Suddenly, his communication crystal activated, and he readily took it out, expecting some good news.

However, when the voice spoke, his face darkened.

"Vice Leader, we have a problem."

[Planet Pyris - Pyris City - The Old Man’s POV]

"What did you just say?" The old man, who was keeping a close eye on the events happening around the only off-world Transfer Channel in Pyris City, exclaimed in a shocked tone.

"Leader, the lady left Pyris City, and from what it appears, she has a powerful helper called Chaos. I also have reasons to believe he killed most of our men," the Vice Leader said, now holding the scroll sent from the Heaven’s Eye Sect.

"What is the meaning of all this?" the old man asked, looking around the room he was in. "Somebody, contact the various men we have on watch in this city."

One of the men with him in the room took out a communication crystal and started contacting them. Three minutes went by, and none of them replied.

Then ten minutes passed, and there was still silence.

At this very instant, the old man sensed something was amiss, so he ordered his men to investigate. Twenty minutes later, reports started coming in of the dead bodies of their men found at their posts.

The report included the way they died, which was through poison that seemed to have been laced on the steamed buns that all of them held in their hands.

This was so shocking that the old man didn’t know what to do.

"What should we do, Leader? Attacking the Heaven’s Eye Sect is suicide unless you have a Master of Fate or a formation expert who can counter that Damned Formation.

If not, then I am afraid we have just lost the Soul Spirit, and what is even worse, the worlds will soon know we have a Forbidden Pill.

This is bad," Vince said, looking at the scroll in his hands.

"Retreat back to Pyris, and we will figure something out." Vince nodded and sent word to the other elders.

They left a few minutes later and began heading to the nearest Transfer Channel that would take them back to Pyris. At the moment, they were more concerned about the fact that an outsider knew they had a Forbidden Pill.

The Soul Spirit could wait. Their new target now was the mysterious Chaos.

However, one thing Vince overlooked was the last few sentences on the scroll. He recalled them two days into their travel back to Pyris. By then, it was too late to call and inform him.

[Kent’s Care Package]

Two days after Kent and Lady Azela left Pyris City, an item was delivered to the Blue Flame Pill Palace’s main base. By then, the old man was back there preparing for what was coming.

Naturally, the item was addressed to the Vice Leader. However, since the old man was around, they sent it to him.

There was a note on it that read, "From Chaos to the Dark Elf."

Seeing a familiar name, he tore open the package, and inside he found a small jade box. He readily took it and opened it.

However, his face darkened the next second when he breathed in something he was all too familiar with.

"Bone Corroding Poison." His face turned pale, and he fell back, landing hard on the ground. He couldn’t even call for help before passing out.

Because he had ordered everyone to stay clear of his mansion, he would remain unconscious for three more days. By then, the Vice Leader would have arrived.

When he saw the state of their leader, he would finally know the kind of monster they had provoked and the kind of danger hovering over their heads.
