Chapter 954: Dominance
Chapter 954: Dominance
Kent held the stunned Lady Azela and walked closer to the three people kneeling. The disciples standing around also held shocked expressions on their faces.
Kent held a calm expression as he approached them. When he was a meter from them, he stopped.
One is a Beastkin of Tiger lineage, one is a Flame Human, and the last is a Dwarf.
"What are your names?" Kent asked. He already knew their names simply because he appraised them using our enchanted eye, but this was a show of strength to tell the people around that a true powerhouse had arrived in the sect.
The Beastkin was the first to speak, "My name is Drazel Thornclaw, a native of planet Veylun."
"I am Kael Veyrith," the Flame Human said, keeping a respectful gaze on Kent. "I am from the trade planet Orthel."
The Dwarf was the last to introduce himself, "I am Braggor Ironfist, from planet Grondar."
Kent could tell that the strongest among the three is the Dwarf. ’I guess it is only normal considering they are beings who value strength.’
"Stand," Kent ordered, and they obeyed.
"What is your mission here?"
"We were ordered by a commander under General Veynor Zhal to come and seize the Tier 18 Soul Spirit rumoured to have been bought by the sect master of the Heaven’s Eye Sect."
Lady Azela’s body shuddered at the sound of this. She had expected only the Blue Flame Pill Palace to be the only one that would come after her for the Soul Spirit.
However, hearing that a commander directly under a general of the Planet King, and no ordinary general but the infamous one known for his strategic thinking and manipulation, she was tempted to give the Soul Spirit to them.
However, she first turned to Kent, who smiled, "Looks like words travel faster than you would expect."
He turned back to his three puppets, "Aside from you and the three inside the sect, is anyone else on this mission with you?"
"No. However, we are expected to return with the Soul Spirit, else the General will organise his army to attack the sect and take it by force."
"I see. I suppose this general is strong, right?"
"General Veynor Zhal is one of the dangerous generals directly under the Planet King. If he personally makes a move, the sect will fall."
"Not under my watch," Kent smirked and turned to the 12 sect disciples on the outside. "Not a word to anyone."
They nodded, but Kent knew they would sing like birds right when they got inside the sect. After all, why wouldn’t they? They had just witnessed a Core Formation expert turn the Three Spirit Kings obedient with a mere snap of his finger.
Who wouldn’t spread that?
Of course, Kent could wipe their memories, but he didn’t want to do that merely because he wasn’t planning on going that extreme.
Instead, he turned to Lady Azela and smiled, "Time for you to become the sect leader again."
He pressed his finger against her forehead and started undoing the restrictions he had placed on her. His soul universe stirred, and in an instant, her cultivation broke through to the Spirit Monarch, then to the Spirit Sovereign, and then, quickly, she reached the Spirit Lord stage.
Within a minute, she was back to her Peak Heavenly Ascension cultivation. Then, in the next second, like shedding her clothes, her body transformed back to its real self.
"Sect Leader," the disciples exclaimed, seeing their Sect Leader now standing before them.
Lady Azela turned to them, "Not a word to anyone. Keep what you saw to yourself. If not, I will personally punish you."
"Rest assured, Sect Leader, not a word of what we saw will leave our lips."
"Very well. You can enter the sect." The disciples nodded and ran into the sect. They weren’t exactly at the main entrance, so after a few minutes, they entered the sect, each speeding to their abode to calm their nerves down.
"So what now?" Lady Azela asked Kent.
"We have to let your mother know we are coming." Kent expanded the soul map again and created a link between himself and Lady Kami.
"Do not panic, young lady, we will be arriving at the sect soon." Kent activated the Map Share, allowing Lady Kami to see them.
When her eyes landed on her daughter, a sigh escaped her lips, but she kept her composure, making sure the three people inside the hall with her wouldn’t sense anything.
"We will be there in a minute. And don’t worry, I will handle everything from here onwards." Kent cut the connection and took Lady Azela’s hand.
When her mother saw this, her eyes narrowed, but she pulled herself back before doing anything she would regret later.
Kent smiled when he saw this. He turned to Lady Azela, who had gotten used to Kent holding her hand. However, knowing her mother was watching, a red colour appeared on her cheek, causing her to turn away from Kent.
Lady Kami sighed inwardly and instead focused on the three people standing before Kent and her daughter. However, because Kent cut the connection, she wasn’t able to ask any questions.
"You three should stay here, but remove the caravan from the road. I will let you know if I have any orders."
"Yes, Master."
Kent nodded and activated the new Soul Universe ability he had received after reaching Tier 16 in soul cultivation.
’Soul Teleport’
This new ability literally allows Kent to teleport within an 80,000 km radius of his Soul Map. This means that with just his Soul map, regardless of what formation is blocking him, as long as his soul map manages to penetrate them, he can teleport.
And now that his soul has reached Tier 16 and he has also broken three limits on his soul, the soul map is perhaps the most powerful skill in his arsenal.
Because he was holding Lady Azela’s hand, they both vanished and appeared inside the hall where Lady Kami and the three people were.
The moment they appeared, the three people stood up and retrieved their weapons.
"Sit down."
Kent’s voice was firm and absolute, leaving no room for disobedience.
They sat down instantly; even the Spirit Sovereign couldn’t withstand the Mind attack.
"Put those sticks away."
They put away the weapons in their hands, causing Kent to smile.
"Now, kneel and greet your new master."
They obeyed like the obedient subordinates they were. "We greet Master. If the Master has any orders, he should feel free to tell us. We will get it done."
"Oh, I have loads of orders. But for now, stand up and settle down. We have a lot to talk about."
"Thank you, Master."
They sat back down, each holding a respectful expression on their faces.
"That’s more like it."
Kent turned around and looked at Lady Kami, who was frozen in her seat.
"What do you think, Mother-in-Law? Does this son-in-law have what it takes to protect your daughter?"
The smile on Kent’s face bloomed, causing the mother-daughter pair to furrow their brows, unsure how to answer Kent’s question.
Kent held his smile, knowing his question would need some time to digest. But he had the time, so he chose to wait for them.
