Primordial Chaos Dragon Tower: Harem System

Chapter 955: Kent’s Decision

Chapter 955: Kent’s Decision

Kent didn’t know if his subtle joke would have any effect on Lady Kami.

However, looking at her expression now, it was plain as day that she took what he said seriously, and what was even worse, the red blush on her daughter’s cheeks added even more fuel to the fire.

’Interesting, looks like she is really overprotective of her daughter. Makes me wonder whether she chose to remain in a High World instead of ascending to an Immortal World simply because she couldn’t bear to leave her daughter behind.’

Kent wondered, but his mind answered his own question, ’But then again, both of them could have ascended long ago, yet they stayed.’

This made Kent start to wonder if there was more to the surprisingly cute mother-daughter relationship he was observing.

"You don’t have to think too much, Lady Kami. I was just messing with you. Though if she is still a maiden 370,000 years from today, I am sure I will surely become your son-in-law."

After saying that, Kent turned to the three people he had mind-controlled, who were now acting like puppets he could manipulate.

Looking at the three people, Kent couldn’t help but wonder just how far this so-called Planet King’s influence had reached.

One of them is a Dragonborn, one is a Dark Elf, and one is a Human, but thanks to Kent’s affinity for blood, he could tell that this human had dragon blood flowing through his body, making him a demi-human.

"I want you each to tell me all you know, starting with your names and home planet."

Kent sat down, crossed his legs, and supported his chin with his right hand.

Lady Kami, who was now holding her daughter’s hand, looked at this and couldn’t help wondering what Kent had done to these three arrogant people to make them now soft and respectful.

The Dragonborn spoke first.

He is a tall, imposing figure with crimson scales running across his arms and neck, golden slit-pupil eyes, and long white hair. He is clad in heavy crimson and black battle robes.

"I am Lord Veylan Drakkos, one of the Seven Lords under the Dragon King. I answer directly to the Dragon King and the various commanders and generals on Planet Drakthar.

I was sent here alongside my companions from the other planets to come and retrieve the Soul Spirit purchased by the Sect Master of Heaven’s Eye from the Brown Maple Auction House in Pyris City.

We have been ordered to return with the Soul Spirit. If we return empty-handed, General Veynor Zhal will personally lead his troop to this planet and obliterate the Heaven’s Eye Sect.

He will be able to get to this planet because one of the Lords of the planet is almost under the thumb of the Planet King."

Kent didn’t bother to verify if his answer was true or not. He knew for certain that all he said was true because he was in their minds. This only made him realise that if he wants to complete this quest, he must be smart about how he moves.

’Looks like this quest is indeed on the calamity level.’ He turned to the second, the Elf, who, although he didn’t look like it, was actually a Dark Elf.

"My name is Eryndor Malvek. I am from Planet Sylvaris. I was asked to come as a suicide aid. My mission is to infiltrate the inner region of the sect and detonate my core if we don’t obtain the Soul Spirit.

My death was to ensure the formation protecting this sect would be weakened when General Veynor Zhal’s troop gets here."

"Oh." Kent raised his brow, and the two ladies narrowed their eyes, hearing such a despicable plot they knew would have worked if things had panned out like the Dark Elf said.

Getting inside the sect wasn’t a problem. After all, while Planet Nictus hadn’t yet fallen under the Planet King’s control, his influence wasn’t one anybody on Planet Nictus would dare disobey.

So they managed to enter the sect, and a core detonation from a Spirit Monarch was one that would kill thousands of disciples and severely weaken the formation protecting the sect.

"That was a diplomatic yet brilliant plan. Who came up with it?" Kent asked, and Malvek answered.

"General Veynor Zhal came up with the mission. He is the chief strategist in the Planet King’s Army."

"I see. In any case, he is indeed brilliant. I will be sure to put his memories to good use," Kent smiled, already anticipating when he would claim that face into his arsenal.

He turned to the last person, the human with dragon blood running in his veins. This person seems to be the strongest among the three, simply because he was a Spirit Sovereign and also due to his dual nature as both a human and a dragon.

"What about you? What do you have to say for yourself?"

"I am High Lord Korrath Vuldren. My mission is to ensure the Soul Spirit is delivered to General Veynor Zhal."

"I see. Looks like you all have separate yet collective missions. In that case, tell me when you are expected to bring the Soul Spirit."

"Two weeks from today is the maximum time we can spend in this world. If by then we don’t see the Soul Spirit, General Veynor Zhal will deem it as defiance against the Planet King, and as such, he will attack this sect."

’There are no openings here. The only leeway here is that I have a maximum of two weeks. But who is to say I can accomplish much within these two weeks that will give me the power to counter an entire army?’

Kent looked at Lady Azela, whose expression was calm, but Kent knew what she was thinking.

’Inasmuch as I can brag and say I will be able to dominate this so-called Planet King, many will die from the ripple effect. Of course, defeating General Veynor Zhal is within my abilities, but I am afraid that it will have the same ripple effect.

However, if I were to form a Core Gate and perhaps even form a Flame Core, then perhaps I can save the sect and this planet as a whole.’

"Give me the Soul Spirit," Kent said, and Lady Azela nodded. She retrieved the disc on which the Soul Spirit was saved and handed it over to Kent.

Kent activated it, and the Soul Spirit appeared. He then used his finger and tapped into his soul universe, drawing three runes and merging them with the Soul Spirit before sending it back into the disc.

He threw it at High Lord Korrath Vuldren, who caught it. "Deliver it to this General Zhal. Afterwards, wait for my orders."

"We will wait for your orders, Master."

Kent nodded. "Go."

They left immediately and joined the three outside the sect.

When they were gone, Kent turned back to the mother and the daughter. "Don’t worry. They will receive a nice gift that none would see coming."

Kent smiled weakly, knowing that the day they would attempt to refine the Soul Spirit he had given them would be the day they would never forget.

"However, for taking your Soul Spirit," Kent retrieved the soul flag and waved it, causing the five Heaven Ascension Stage (Tier 19) Soul Spirits to appear. "Take your pick, they are all from the Forsaken Race."

This time, the mother and daughter pair were left stunned, their faces as pale as white paint.
