Primordial Villain with a Slave Harem

Chapter 1466 Test Run

Chapter 1466 Test Run

Kaelira nodded, grateful for the shift back to something she could actually articulate without combusting. She blinked once and focused on the status window that only she could see.

"The 3x experience multiplier is listed. So is the aging halt. Both are active right

now."

"Those were the old buffs my seed gave," Quinlan murmured, his thumb tracing a slow, absent circle against her abs. "But only through the real deal."

Kaelira's breath hitched at the motion, but she pushed through. "Y-yes..."

"This pill is amazing" Quinlan said, and his tone shifted as the tactical part of his mind engaged. "It'll be useful not just for allies who don't want the D-"

Kaelira's left red ear twitched.

"-but for you girls as well. There might be stretches where we don't see each other for more than seventy-two hours, where the buff would wear off. But if you can supplement with pills in between, you stay buffed longer."

Despite everything the raunchy phrasing, the casual mention of his seed's delivery method, all of it - both Aurora and Kaelira smiled softly.

It was such a Quinlan thing to do. His mind had already leapt past the embarrassment and landed squarely on how this helped them. Not him. Not just their allies. Them. His lovers, who technically benefited from this buff the least.

Kaelira's voice came out quieter than before.

"You asked the Soul Records to give you a trial that benefits us... your partners... if you yourself couldn't gain direct rewards due to your vessel's lacking capacity." She tilted her head slightly, still held in his arms. "I think this is it...?"

"That's exactly what I thought!" Aurora chirped, bouncing forward with her notebook clutched to her chest. "And so did Ayame! That's why we devised a plot to extract Quin's seed and study it, so we could surprise him with the results!"

"I see..." Kaelira murmured. "It's a... nice gesture?" she offered, the uncertainty in her voice betraying that she still wasn't entirely sure how to feel about the extraction methods involved.

Quinlan nodded, warmth settling in his chest. "Yes. My girls are amazing"

Aurora beamed at that, hugging her notebook tighter.

"So how long does it last?" Quinlan asked. "I presume it's not seventy-two

hours?"

"Twelve hours," Kaelira said, reading from her status window. Then her ears twitched as a thought formed. "But.... maybe the original method makes it longer than seventy-two hours now? You evolved, after all."

"Maybe so," Quinlan grinned. He gave her abs one last gentle pat before releasing her from his hold and stepping back. "As Aurora said... only one way to

know""

Kaelira's eyes twitched again, her face going beet red as she stared very hard at a point on the far wall that had done nothing to deserve such intense scrutiny. Quinlan turned toward Aurora.

She barely had time to register the shift in his expression before he crossed the distance, bent low, and hoisted her clean off the ground. Her world spun as she was thrown over his shoulder like a sack of grain, notebook tumbling from her hands and clattering onto the workstation.

"Hya?!" Aurora gasped, legs kicking once before she caught herself against his back. "W-what are you doing?!"

"Test runs," Quinlan said, already walking. "My sexy alchemist babe will be my self-sacrificing lab rat. It's only fair after what you pulled on me with Ayame,

no?"

Aurora's protest died somewhere in her throat. Her lips pressed together, fighting a happy grin that won the battle almost instantly. She went limp over his shoulder with a dopey, lopsided smile spreading across her flushed face, platinum hair swaying with each of his steps.

She didn't struggle.

Not even a little.

"Where's an empty room in this house?" Quinlan asked.

"My quarters are... upstairs..." Aurora murmured against his back, voice going soft and bashful.

"Perfect. Let's go. For science."

Kaelira watched them go, still rooted to the spot, ears blazing. She opened her mouth. Closed it. Opened it again.

No words came out.

From over Quinlan's shoulder, Aurora gave her a little wave and a smile that was equal parts sheepish and thoroughly pleased with how her day was turning

out.

The door swung shut behind them.

Kaelira stood alone in the lab for a long moment, surrounded by Aurora's neatly organized equipment and the muffled chaos of Thindlebrim's work beyond the

curtain.

"I'll ask granny for more tea," she decided, and walked back upstairs to find Thistle.

The door parted some time later.

Quinlan stepped out first, rolling one shoulder as he adjusted his collar. Behind him, Aurora emerged with her hair somehow even more of a disaster than

before. Her apron was gone entirely.

She was smiling.

The kind of deep, satisfied, loose-limbed smile that started somewhere well below her chest and radiated outward through every part of her. She leaned against the doorframe for a moment, watching Quinlan's back as he walked ahead, and let out a quiet, contented sigh that carried the weight of a woman who felt thoroughly appreciated.

Her notebook could wait.

Everything could wait.

She pushed off the frame and followed him downstairs, still smiling.

When they reached the bottom, Kaelira was sitting at Granny Thistle's table with her third cup of tea, ears no longer red but eyes still very carefully avoiding direct contact with either of them.

Granny Thistle glanced up at Aurora, then at Quinlan, then back at Aurora.

"More cookies, dear?" the old gnome asked innocently. Then her smile shifted, showing she wasn't clueless. After all, Aurora wasn't exactly known for being a silent partner in bed.

"You should regain your energies... Or maybe just celebrate?"

"... Yes, please," Aurora replied, voice still a touch airy.

Quinlan took a cookie from the tray and bit into it, chewing in comfortable

silence as the warmth of the small kitchen settled around them.

Then he set the half-eaten cookie down and looked toward the door.

The warmth remained, but his focus shifted.

It always did. That was the nature of the man his lovers had chosen to follow.

He had trained under Dragnar, survived Kiryssa's killing games, and studied the art of patience and awareness beneath Hanae's careful hand. Aurora had unveiled a discovery that would propel his group forward. His body had evolved. His companions had grown. Even Nyxara had found her place within

him.

It was time to say goodbye to the primordials and leave.

Thalorind was waiting.
