Chapter 3094: Couldn’t He Have Been More Professional About It?
Many people stared at Ning Shu, Gong Rong, and the tanned girl.
Ning Shu grabbed Gong Rong’s hand and inspected it. She found that he wasn’t wearing even a single piece of jewelry.
Wasn’t he supposed to be rich?
Ning Shu brushed Gong Rong’s hair aside to check if he was wearing any valuable earrings.
Turned out he didn’t even have pierced ears. If he was pretending to be a woman, couldn’t he have been more professional about it?
Ning Shu looked at him coldly as she said, “Do you have anything on you that’s worth money?”
Gong Rong’s eyes darted about before he said, “I, myself, am quite valuable. But no one here knows who I am.”
“How useless.”
Gong Rong: …
Ning Shu didn’t believe for a second that there wasn’t anything valuable on Gong Rong. She searched him up and down and yanked at his clothes before spotting signs of something sewn into the lining.
Ning Shu tore the garment open and out fell a black card.
Gong Rong looked up at the sky and said, “If you use that card to withdraw money, people will quickly figure out where I am.”
Ning Shu shrugged. “Doesn’t matter.”
She found someone to ask where the nearest bank was and then dragged Gong Rong there.
Ning Shu inserted the black card into the ATM and turned to Gong Rong. “Enter the PIN.”
“Are you sure?” Gong Rong asked.
Ning Shu spun the knife in her hand swiftly. It reflected a flash of cold light.
“Alright, alright. How much?”
“20,000.”
Gong Rong keyed in the password and withdrew 20,000 yuan.
Ning Shu handed 10,000 to the tanned girl and said, “Go. Don’t stick with me—it’s too dangerous.”
“Big Sis…”
“Go, now.”
The girl took the money and walked away.
Gong Rong said, “You can barely look after yourself, yet you’re still worrying about someone else.”
“You should be more concerned about surviving me than what I’m doing,” Ning Shu shot back.
She looked at Gong Rong’s disheveled long hair and dragged him to a barber.
Well, ‘barber’ was putting it generously—it was really just a roadside hair-cutting stall.
“Mister, just shave the whole head bald. Don’t bother with a style,” Ning Shu said to the barber.
She shoved Gong Rong down onto the wooden stool and didn’t let him move.
“This young lady’s hair is too nice to shave off,” the barber remarked. Gong Rong’s hair was gently wavy, thick, black, and strikingly beautiful.
“It’s fine,” Ning Shu replied with a cheerful smile.
The barber was brisk and straightforward. He buzzed off Gong Rong’s hair and gave him a flat top.
Despite his current hairstyle, Gong Rong still looked ridiculously handsome. Aunties and young girls passing by on the street couldn’t help but glance at his face.
Ning Shu had her own hair cut short too, styled like a boy’s.
Then, she took Gong Rong to a clothing shop and picked out men’s clothes.
She dressed Gong Rong in a simple T-shirt and jeans.
Even in men’s clothes, Gong Rong looked incredibly sharp.
That face really could pass for either gender.
Ning Shu put on men’s clothes too.
Now that they had withdrawn money, the Gong family would likely be able to trace their location via the black card.
They had to leave quickly. They still needed to find the entrustor’s mother.
Gong Rong was still standing in front of the mirror, touching his flat-topped head. “Truly, natural beauty is impossible to hide.”
Ning Shu grabbed him and dragged him off to the station to buy tickets.
