Re-Awakening: I Ascend with a Legendary class

Chapter 577: Ez Run

Chapter 577: Ez Run

The countdown reached zero.

The ground trembled.

A low, droning horn echoed from beyond the gate, and the entrance at the far end of the path split open like a maw.

Monsters poured out.

They were not uniform. Some were hulking quadrupeds plated in jagged stone. Others were floating aberrations with translucent bodies and pulsing cores. In between them slithered thin, fast creatures that hugged the ground, their limbs blurring as they moved.

"Wave density is high," Fraisea said calmly, eyes fixed on the interface only she could see. "Path is holding. Towers are active."

Each of the four towers along the path lit up as the players took position.

Saffa stood atop the first tower, cold mist curling around her feet.

Clovelle occupied the second, space itself subtly warping around her silhouette.

Fraisea, once finished with construction, moved to the third tower, crystalline water rings slowly rotating behind her.

Gopu coiled around the fourth tower, wings tucked in, heat rolling off his scales.

Ainen remained near the core, food cart beside him, flames and aromas intertwining as buffs rolled outward in steady pulses.

The first monsters reached Saffa’s range.

She raised her hand.

Her deck manifested instinctively.

[Glacial Sovereign Tide]

Rank: Tier-2

Card Draw: 10 Pulse per star

Card Pile: [4/5 — Inspiration: 0 — Insight: 0]

1. Absolute Frost Domain (6-star)

2. Cryo-Sunder Lance (5-star)

3. Polar Reflection Array (4-star)

4. Everfrozen Momentum (7-star)

5.

The air temperature plummeted.

Absolute Frost Domain activated.

A translucent hemisphere expanded outward from Saffa’s tower, instantly dragging the temperature far below freezing. The leading monsters slowed as frost crept over their joints, their movements turning sluggish.

Saffa thrust her arm forward.

Cryo-Sunder Lance condensed from the air, a spear of layered ice concepts rather than simple cold. She hurled it.

The lance pierced through three monsters in a straight line, and instead of shattering, it exploded outward into branching ice veins, freezing everything it touched from the inside out.

Everfrozen Momentum triggered.

Each frozen enemy increased the domain’s intensity.

The next wave entered the zone and slowed even further, some of them freezing mid-stride, their internal energy crystallizing and collapsing.

"Resistance units incoming," Fraisea warned. "Ice-adapted."

Saffa narrowed her eyes.

Polar Reflection Array activated.

Mirrored ice sigils formed in midair, reflecting incoming elemental resistance back onto the monsters themselves. Ice-adapted creatures suddenly found their own defenses turning against them, their cores destabilizing under inverted resistance.

They shattered.

At the second tower, Clovelle smiled faintly.

Her deck unfolded.

[Stellar Fold Artisan]

Rank: Tier-2

Card Draw: 10 Pulse per star

Card Pile: [4/5 — Inspiration: 0 — Insight: 0]

1. Micro-Singularity Thread (6-star)

2. Spatial Shear Bloom (5-star)

3. Event Horizon Lattice (7-star)

4. Null-Step Continuum (4-star)

5.

She snapped her fingers.

Micro-Singularity Thread stitched itself across the path like invisible wire.

The first fast-moving monsters hit it and were instantly compressed, their bodies folding inward until they collapsed into dense spheres that imploded silently.

Spatial Shear Bloom followed.

Petal-like distortions opened in space above the path, dropping razor-thin slashes of collapsed distance. Monsters were cut apart without blood, their bodies simply separating as space decided they were no longer whole.

Event Horizon Lattice activated as larger monsters pushed through.

A grid of warped gravity formed, slowing anything massive to a crawl. Their weight turned against them, joints locking, cores destabilizing under their own mass.

Null-Step Continuum allowed Clovelle to reposition freely between spatial anchors on her tower, letting her respond instantly to breaches without losing focus.

Nothing reached her tower.

At the third tower, Fraisea finally joined the fight.

Her deck pulsed.

[Tidal Crown of Azure Accord]

Rank: Tier-2

Card Draw: 10 Pulse per star

Card Pile: [4/5 — Inspiration: 0 — Insight: 0]

1. Sovereign Flow Mandala (6-star)

2. Abyssal Pressure Choir (5-star)

3. Crystalline Current Weave (4-star)

4. Depth-Sworn Resonance (7-star)

5.

Water condensed out of the air, forming rotating sigils.

Sovereign Flow Mandala spread outward, controlling the movement of liquid and energy alike. Even monsters without blood found their internal fluids dragged into unnatural currents.

Abyssal Pressure Choir activated.

Invisible layers of pressure stacked upon the monsters, crushing them inward. Bones cracked. Cores ruptured. Even heavily armored units buckled as if sinking into a crushing deep-sea trench.

Crystalline Current Weave followed, hardening sections of flowing water into razor-edged constructs that sliced through weakened enemies.

Depth-Sworn Resonance amplified everything.

Every monster that died sent a pulse through the water constructs, strengthening the next wave of pressure.

By the time the monsters reached the midpoint, they were already collapsing en masse.

Gopu finally stirred.

A cluster of fire-resistant monsters pushed past the slowing effects, charging toward the later towers.

Gopu opened his jaws.

A low hum built in his chest.

Then he exhaled.

Dragonfire poured out, but it wasn’t ordinary flame. It carried layered properties—compression, heat inversion, and conceptual erosion. Fire-resistant hides burned anyway, their resistance unraveling under flame that rewrote how burning worked.

Ainen clapped once.

Chef’s Blessing pulsed outward.

Buffs stacked.

— Reaction Speed Increased

— Elemental Penetration Enhanced

— Energy Recovery Accelerated

— Mental Fatigue Suppressed

The towers glowed brighter.

Wave after wave came.

Flying units were frozen midair by Saffa, sliced by Clovelle, crushed by Fraisea, or incinerated by Gopu.

Regenerating monsters were rendered inert as Everfrozen Momentum prevented cellular recovery.

Shielded monsters had their shields inverted by Spatial Shear Bloom.

High-resistance elites collapsed under Abyssal Pressure Choir before reaching the midpoint.

The kill counter skyrocketed.

Ten kills.

Twenty.

Fifty.

A hundred.

Random spell selections appeared as everyone experimented if they got options that could synergize with their decks.

Meanwhile, other territories began failing.

Explosions and distant shockwaves marked the collapse of two cores one by one within one minute.

Fraeisa’s interface updated.

"Two groups eliminated," she said calmly. "One struggling. One holding."

"It looks like we’ll win this easily."

Minutes passed.

The monsters never stopped.

But neither did the defense.

Finally, the horn sounded again.

The gate sealed shut.

Silence fell over the territory.

[Wave Complete.]

[Core Integrity: 100%]

[Victory Condition Achieved.]

The other remaining territory collapsed seconds later.

[Winner Determined.]

A golden notification bloomed in the air above Ainen and others.

Only their core was fully intact! If they had tied with another group, a tougher wave would arrive to determine the winner, but it didn’t come to that.

[You have won Tower Defense Wars.]

[Anchor Points Awarded: 10,000 per participant.]

[Bonus Applied. Extra 5000 Anchor Points per participants.]

Ainen exhaled slowly as he smiled.

"That went well."

"Too easy." Saffa stretched her arms, smirking cutely.

Clovelle nodded, smiling. "True."

Fraisea closed the interface and grinned. "Clean run. 75,000 Anchor Points getto."

Gopu rumbled contentedly.

As the space around them dissolved, the group vanished, returning to Arklight City with fresh Anchor Points and momentum firmly on their side.
