Re-Awakening: I Ascend with a Legendary class

Chapter 635: Last Stretch

Chapter 635: Last Stretch

The ultimate abyss closed in around the top contenders. The battlefield shrank as weaker teams dissolved into memory, and what remained were predators. Circling, watching, waiting for someone to flinch first.

The environment turned against them all.

Currents twisted into violent spirals, dragging debris in grinding rotations. Massive bones of ancient sea titans drifted into each other, slow and inevitable, sending shockwaves rolling through the dark. Lightning storms crawled across the battlefield in pale blue sheets, illuminating everything in harsh flashes before plunging it back into shadow. Blood from fallen combatants bloomed in thick clouds, staining the water crimson.

The rival top-three team moved first.

They didn’t attack from distance. Ten figures accelerated as one, their formation tight and deliberate. The leader thrust both hands forward, and the environment itself responded. Jagged crystalline spikes erupted from the skeletal ridges lining the abyss. Thousands of shards screamed outward toward the Regalons.

Maya reacted without hesitation.

Void-frost spread in branching patterns, racing along the shards mid-flight. Ice crawled across their edges, crept into their cores, turned them brittle.

Silvester moved into the storm.

His blades flashed in rapid succession, carving through dozens of frozen shards that exploded into glittering dust around him. One slipped through, piercing his abdomen and bursting out through his back in a spray of blood. He didn’t stop. He twisted into the wound and cut upward, slicing the attacker from shoulder to hip. The man’s torso came apart before dissolving entirely.

An enemy materialized behind him. The blade descended.

It landed cleanly.

Silvester’s head separated.

His body drifted.

Chronavael stepped forward, and time bent. Blood flowed in reverse. The blade retreated along its arc. Silvester reassembled mid-motion and as the rewind completed, he ducked beneath the still-descending weapon and drove both blades upward. The attacker split vertically.

Rudra charged into the center of it.

Pulse rings expanded violently from his fists, traveling through multiple enemies at once, compressing their bodies inward before detonating. Two exploded instantly, their armor collapsing into twisted fragments. A massive hammer swung down in retaliation. It landed, and his torso crushed inward. Bones shattered. His body snapped apart in a dense cloud of blood.

Golden flame wrapped around him before he could fall.

Rexion’s restoration spiral tightened. Flesh rebuilt itself, ribs reformed, armor resealed. Rudra roared and punched again. The hammer wielder’s chest imploded.

The battlefield devolved into pure close combat.

Aryan thrust forward at point-blank range as invisible spear trajectories pierced an opponent’s limbs, pinning him mid-motion. The enemy tore desperately at the invisible force, and a second thrust punched through his skull. His head burst apart. Marcus intercepted another attacker, weapons colliding with shockwaves that rippled outward. He twisted his stance, redirecting the force sideways, causing the pressure to slam into a third enemy. breaking his spine through armor.

Hiroshi moved quietly through the chaos. He stepped once. His blade passed across three enemies in a single smooth motion, and nothing happened immediately. Then their bodies separated along delayed lines, torsos sliding apart as blood drifted in thin sheets.

The rival team answered with a massive vortex that formed beneath them, dragging everything inward. Debris, blood, corpses, combatants all spiraling together. The pull intensified rapidly.

Pymon descended. Lightning erupted from his wings in branching arcs, tearing through the vortex’s structure, destabilizing it until the current reversed and threw enemies outward violently. One slammed directly into Rudra. A blade pierced through his throat. Blood erupted.

He collapsed.

Chronavael stepped forward.

Time reversed. The blade withdrew. The wound closed. Rudra inhaled sharply, grabbed the attacker’s arm, and drove his fist into the man’s face. The skull collapsed inward.

Then the battlefield shook.

A Mythical creature burst between both teams, its body covered in rotating saw-like fins that lashed blindly through the water, cutting through combatants. A rival fighter was sliced in half instantly. The Regalons attacked together: Maya froze the rotating fins, ice crawling along the spinning blades as they slowed. Silvester dashed through the gaps and carved deep into the creature’s body. Aryan drove multiple trajectories into the exposed core.

It convulsed.

A rival fighter seized the moment, driving a spear into Aryan’s shoulder and tearing downward. His arm separated completely. Rexion’s flame spiraled instantly, reattaching the severed arm mid-air, fusing flesh together. Aryan retaliated with a thrust that pierced the attacker’s heart.

The Mythical creature exploded. Blood, shards, and fragments drifted slowly outward.

Two teams remained.

...

The enemy leader advanced with his aura surging, moving faster than before. He appeared directly in front of Rudra and drove his fist through his chest. A hole opened clean through him. Rudra’s body split apart.

Chronavael rewound him before he could fall. Rudra reformed, seized the enemy’s wrist, and unleashed layered pulses at point-blank range. The arm shattered. A second pulse crushed the torso. A third detonated what remained.

The final enemies attempted to retreat.

Silvester and Hiroshi moved together. Silvester carved a diagonal arc that severed one fighter’s legs. Hiroshi stepped forward and cut horizontally as the upper body separated cleanly. The last opponent fled upward. Pymon dove, and lightning spears chased him down, piercing his back and exploding outward. He revived once. Chronavael slowed him. Rudra crushed him.

Silence settled briefly. Blood clouds drifted. Broken bones floated between shattered weapons spinning in the currents.

The leaderboard shifted.

#2.

One team remained above them, and both groups moved toward each other now, the abyss itself trembling from the power gathering between them.

...

Pymon descended and released lightning, but it mutated mid-flight, the arcs thickening into jagged serpentine strikes that tore through the gravitational blade-storm the enemy team had formed. The blades shattered. Rexion released flame that split into fractal tendrils, devouring what remained of the storm until it collapsed entirely.

An enemy appeared behind Aryan and drove a blade through his throat.

Blood exploded. His body fell.

Golden flame spiraled and Aryan reformed, thrusting forward, invisible trajectories piercing the attacker’s torso. But a rival resurrector activated on the other side, and the fallen enemy reassembled mid-air. Rudra stepped forward and unleashed layered pulses point-blank. The resurrected fighter’s body collapsed inward. Maya froze the fragments. Hiroshi cut through them.

No revival.

The final clash erupted. Both enemy leaders hit Rudra simultaneously — one blade through his shoulder, the other splitting his abdomen open. Blood burst in every direction. Rexion restored him instantly. Chronavael rewound the follow-up strike. Rudra answered with a double-handed pulse, and both attackers imploded. One revived. The other didn’t. Silvester dashed in and carved through the surviving fighter before the resurrector could react.

Three enemies remained.

They merged their power into a massive energy construct that slammed downward. Rudra met it head-on, and the impact obliterated him completely. Chronavael rewound while Rexion restored simultaneously. Rudra reappeared mid-collision and drove layered pulses into the construct’s core. It fractured. Aryan pierced the axis. Maya froze its regeneration. Hiroshi cut through the structure.

The construct collapsed.

One enemy fled. Pymon accelerated, lightning spears chasing him down. They pierced his back and detonated. He revived once. Chronavael slowed him. Rudra crushed him.

The last enemy charged, desperate, burning everything he had left. He pierced Chronavael. Time froze.

Then reversed.

The wound vanished. Rexion’s flame surged. Aryan thrust. Silvester carved. Rudra punched.

The final enemy came apart.

Silence.

Blood clouds drifted slowly through the dark. Bodies dissolved. The abyss, for a moment, was still.

The leaderboard flickered.

#1.
