Re-Awakening: I Became a Pay To Win Boss Monster

Chapter 564: Change Of Pace

Chapter 564: Change Of Pace

Rael’s eyes shot open as a fierce headache spread across his skull. He was still in the platinum boutique, but he was all alone now.

However, he didn’t really feel alone. Everything he had striven to achieve in that reality, he did.

Sighing, Rael leaned back, and to his genuine surprise, he saw a pop-up hovering right above him, one that he wasn’t expecting to see until a couple of months later.

<Ding!>

<Ding!>

A faint smile appeared on Rael’s face as he exhaled an exhausted breath.

“Well… at least one thing turned out alright.”

He got his name back, and now the only thing missing was the memories of the majority of the people.

But as he stepped outside his boutique and went on a walk, he quickly realized that Celestara seemed a little more… empty.

Though it wasn’t too surprising. Seoul, even in the past, held the majority of the world’s player base. Most content creators were from there. There were some from other countries too, but they thought Sketa Online was too childish.

Only much later, when the game gained popularity, did it truly take off in all the countries.

Nonetheless, even with fewer players, Celestara thrived above the other countries.

Let’s see here… I should probably contact Zafira.

After all, with his name back to what it used to be, it would surely be a surprise.

He sat down on the sidewalk and waited for a reply.

Waited, waited, and waited.

Yet when ten minutes had passed and no reply came, he was starting to get worried. Even in the worst-case scenarios, she would let him know what was happening. A short text would do, even a word.

But now, not getting an answer was a little too sketchy.

Therefore, like the responsible husband that he was, Rael bought a little something from the Premium Shop.

•—Premium Shop—•

Category: Teleportation / Very long range teleportation /

•—Balance: 96,949 Premium Coins—•

• Scroll of Teleportation (Legendary): 5 Premium Coins

• Pocket Wormhole (Ancient): 15 Premium Coins

• Potion of Undying Loyalty (Ancient): 30 Premium Coins

• Greg’s Universal Travel Services (Transcendent): 58 Premium Coins

After combing through each of the options, Rael saw the last one in particular as something a little more unique.

It even popped up a review page.

<Greg’s Universal Travel Services>

[529,248 Positive reviews]

I’m sold.

With that, he went ahead and bought the travel services.

Soon after, a car manifested in front of him. It was an old-school minivan, and it honestly looked pretty cozy.

As for the driver, it was some old man with a comically large mustache.

“Where ya heading, kid?” the old man asked.

Rael smiled. “Can you find my wife?”

“Why? Marriage going south?”

Rolling his eyes, Rael replied,

“Nope. Other matters. I also saw you don’t usually ask questions, so keep with the motto. What do I need to give you so you can find her?”

The old man stiffened at the thought of a negative review and then gave Rael a thumbs-up.

“Any possession she had would be fine. An earring, weapon, anything, honestly.”

Rael nodded in understanding and searched through his inventory.

There were a few panties, and he had absolutely no clue how they ended up there. Still, he wasn’t about to give some random taxi driver his wife’s panties.

So, after looking for just a few seconds, he found a hairpin that belonged to her and handed it to the old man.

The old man hummed in satisfaction and grabbed the hairpin. He opened the drink tray and put the hairpin inside.

A moment later, the drink tray rolled back in, and then a holographic interface appeared on the front windshield, displaying Zafira’s location.

“Looks like she’s in the far regions of the universe. Uhh… she’s close to the Demonic Realm. You might have to pay me double, young man.”

Rael shook his head.

“I already paid the sum. It’s your job to deal with the rest.”

The old man clicked his tongue and pressed on his door. The passenger seat door opened right after.

“Well, what are you waiting for? Get in.”

[Zafira’s POV]

“Heh…” Lilith crossed her arms in satisfaction. “Good job, young Zafira. You’re learning brilliantly.”

Uriel and Vatyra also gave her a thumbs-up, but deep down, she felt like it was wrong.

After all, here she was, relaxing in a hot spring and ignoring Rael’s messages. What was worse was the fact that his name had returned to what it had been before.

Her heart ached at the thought, but Lilith sounded pretty damn convincing.

“What? Still on the fence?” Lilith asked, tilting her head. “He’s obsessed with you, isn’t he? If he sees you’re near such a dangerous place as the Demonic Realm, then he’s bound to come looking for you like a knight in shining armor.”

“I agree once again,” Vatyra chimed in with a giggle.

“Papa is coming?” Uriel asked innocently.

“Yep. Your papa is going to arrive soon,” Lilith replied and began chatting with Uriel and Vatyra.

As for Zafira, she lowered her head below the hot water of the hot springs in embarrassment.

This is just like what he said in the past…

Her cheeks flushed.

There used to be girls in his world who asked their boyfriends if they would still love them if they were worms… Why do I feel like I’m doing just that?

Anyhow, she set her mind to apologizing when he arrived. If he arrived.

And it seemed like she didn’t need to wonder for long, as in the next instant, a powerful presence showed itself, coming toward them rapidly. It was a familiar presence, and of course, it belonged to none other than Rael.

But when that presence stopped, she spotted a broken-down and ugly minivan not too far away, out of which Rael stepped.

He argued with the old man in the driver’s seat and then flipped him off. The old man flipped him off in return and then drove off, disappearing in an instant.

Rael took a deep breath, and as he approached her and the others, she spotted the corner of his lips curling upward, finding the entire scene amusing.

He arrived right behind her and then suddenly stripped. Her eyes widened, but before she could even open her mouth, Rael jumped high into the sky and, like a cannonball, crashed directly into the hot springs, sending water everywhere.

When the tide calmed down, Rael stood in the middle of the hot springs, his chest puffed out as he glanced at each of the girls, including his son.

And finally, a victorious smile appeared on his face.

“That’s what you get for trying to prank me.”
