The next few weeks flew by fairly peacefully. Rael spent most of his time with Zafira and Lilith. Of course, Uriel wasn’t excluded either.

But of course, he wasn’t going to check out every single bit of progress he had made since there was just so much, skill level ups, law bonuses, and more.

Simply put, Rael was at least several hundred times more powerful than he was when he came back to this continent.

And of course, he was only a week away from the beginning of the Hollow Throne succession, which would very likely decide the outcome of the fight against Solenne.

Nonetheless, Rael propped himself up and kissed Zafira on the forehead before leaving the mansion. He had a few meetings he was supposed to go to, but Lilith insisted on being the mediator, which he obviously accepted.

But as of late, her expression around him had changed. She was acting clingier, and he held back every urge in his body from reading her thoughts.

As he arrived in the throne room, he quickly stepped forward, passing through every object and reappearing inside his boutique where Vatyra and Uriel were currently resting.

"Dad!" Uriel jumped up and hugged him.

That was also one of the changes. Uriel had started calling him Dad. It was pretty damn cute.

"Heya." Rael smiled, returning the hug. "Did I miss something?"

"Evelyn stopped by earlier," Vatyra said nonchalantly.

"Did she now..." Rael replied with a slightly wary look. "What did she say?"

Vatyra met his gaze.

"Something about you meeting her somewhere...? She was really vague about it. But she said you’ll understand."

"I see... Thanks," Rael replied and, with a wave of his hand, summoned a full tray of food, primarily turkey.

Like always, Vatyra dug in, and despite three weeks having passed, she hadn’t left yet. It was reassuring since he had someone like her protecting Uriel and, inadvertently, Zafira as well as Lilith.

Aside from that, Anna was spending a lot more time with Gaia, whereas Gaia pooled all her focus into that project he had seen before.

And now, Rael was going to catch up with Evelyn in regard to the Ancient Mindweaver race. It was a meeting he had planned a few weeks back, and finally, she had enough time to go through with it.

But before that...

"Hey, Uriel?" Rael patted his head. "Do you want to go hunting with me later?"

Vatyra froze. "What do you think you’re saying? Take him out on a battle?"

Rael understood her worries.

"I know, but he’s not a toddler. He has all the strength that I do, and the only thing he’s lacking is control. Plus, I’m not suggesting I take him alone. Let’s go together and train him. What do you say?"

Hearing that, Vatyra lowered her head and clenched her fists. But then she raised her head again, meeting his eyes with a determined look.

"I’ll give you an answer after you come back."

"..."

This is like the 50th time she’s postponed something. Well, it’s not like it matters.

He nodded at her and then patted Uriel’s head again. He had a look of amazement, almost failing to process Rael’s offer.

But before Uriel could reply, Rael picked him up and placed him down at the table beside Vatyra.

"Get some food until then. I’ll be back soon," Rael added, and with that, went to his usual spot.

The bathroom.

He stretched and then sat down on the shitter before turning to his status.

And a moment later, he found what he was looking for.
