Re-Awakening: I Became a Pay To Win Boss Monster

Chapter 648: The Surprising Victory?

Chapter 648: The Surprising Victory?

Rael flew through the sky once more, and eventually, he landed right beside Lilith.

The moment she saw him and who he was carrying, she let out a chuckle.

"That was fast."

"You sensed him as well?"

"Mhm."

She walked closer and then leaned down slightly, meeting the brother’s eyes.

"Hello Ramiel. You don’t seem to be in the best of shapes. It looks like my husband manhandled you pretty badly, huh? Do you want some tea?"

Ramiel didn’t reply, and instead continued to groan in pain.

Lilith was a little shocked, and when she glanced over at Rael, he simply shrugged.

"I didn’t beat him too hard. I just used a secret attack."

She raised a brow.

"What kind of attack?"

Hehe.

Rael wasn’t going to tell her.

And when Lilith realized that too, she simply hummed to herself and eventually moved on.

"Ramiel, I’d like it if you could hand over the rest of your territories as well."

Hearing that, Ramiel immediately stopped groaning, almost like all of the injuries he had suffered a moment ago vanished.

His expression turned firm, and soon enough, he escaped Rael’s grasp.

For a moment, Rael expected him to lash out at Lilith, but he didn’t.

He only glared at her.

"Lilith, do you take me for a pushover or a fool?"

"Would you believe me if I thought you were both?"

His glare intensified.

"Just because we haven’t seen each other in a very long time doesn’t mean our relationship has changed. You are still the same trash you have been in the past. It doesn’t matter to me whether Father has acknowledged you or not."

It looked like that bit of information reached him as well.

Rael was a little bit surprised, but then again, this guy here was royalty.

It was only natural his information network wasn’t absolute shit.

So as the two glared at each other for a few moments, Lilith finally broke the ice.

"I’m serious, Ramiel. I want you to hand over everything you have. Remember the bet you made when I was little? If I were ever to awaken the Calamity Demon bloodline, you would hand over everything you owned."

"Pfft. You seriously took those words to heart? You are more foolish than you look, Lilith." He scoffed. "I have no intention to hold true to my words, especially since that was so long ago. You should know better than I do that bets between demons expire very quickly."

Rael knew that too.

After all, since they could live for so long, holding onto bets they had made centuries ago was unrealistic.

One could forget, while the other could use that forgetfulness to their advantage.

In the end, it was bullshit, and Rael knew it as much as Lilith.

"So no bet then, huh. I see..." Lilith lowered her gaze, then quickly glanced back up with a smile. "In that case, would you like to have a duel with me?"

Hmm?

What was she doing?

"A duel?"

"Yep. I want us to fight each other, and whoever comes out on top will get the other’s territories. That seems fair, doesn’t it?"

No it doesn’t.

Rael couldn’t understand her intentions here, especially since she was way weaker than Ramiel.

But clearly, whatever plan she had in mind, Ramiel bit the hook.

"Okay. I agree to this strange bet of yours. Would you like to start right away?"

<Rael Sutekh: Not sure what you’re doing, but just let me fight. I’ll handle him.>

She met Rael’s gaze and shook her head before turning back to Ramiel.

She entered a fighting stance, and then, after counting down from three with her fingers, the two of them kicked off, flying toward each other.

It was so sudden that Rael could barely even understand what was happening.

But even so, he stepped back slightly so as not to get in the way.

More importantly, his gaze remained on Lilith, making sure she wouldn’t get killed accidentally.

However, something strange was happening.

She avoided most of Ramiel’s attacks, and she even managed to get a hit or two in.

It was surprising, but even more so was the fact that she continued getting faster while Ramiel continued getting slower.

Only then did Rael realize that there was a bigger shadow than usual above them, and when he looked up, he saw a massive black cloud.

Black flames were circling around it, and the fight between Lilith and Ramiel was being perfectly choreographed above.

However, there was also something he couldn’t understand.

In that black flame cloud, Ramiel was landing hits after hits, and some were even fatal.

In fact, Lilith was losing quite badly.

But the outcome down here was way different than up there.

And more surprisingly, she was slowly getting the upper hand.

She started landing more hits, and eventually, Ramiel decided it was a good idea to exert one of his Laws.

Rael recognized that Law instantly.

It was the Law of Space.

The space cracked around his feet, but before he could go through that spatial crack, Lilith snapped her fingers, closing the crack on his foot and cutting it off.

Not only that, she snapped her fingers again and summoned yet another crack right above Ramiel.

She stomped down on the ground, and Ramiel was forced to jump up slightly.

But in turn, a bit of his head had made its way through the spatial crack.

And when Lilith realized that, she snapped her fingers for one final time, closing the spatial crack.

It all happened so fast, but when the spatial crack closed, Ramiel’s head was nowhere to be seen.

Meanwhile, his body, although alive, was flailing and throwing punches everywhere.

This was a very smart move, and Rael could barely believe Lilith managed to do something like that.

But she also seemed to have that black flame cloud to thank for that.

Rael was going to ask her about it later, but as he stared at the flailing Ramiel and the mocking Lilith, it was clear who the winner was.

So with a sigh, Rael decided to just announce the winner and get it over with.
