Chapter 649: The Territories
Chapter 649: The Territories
"So uh... Lilith wins?"
No one said a word, but he could barely even believe himself.
Just how did she win?
Not that he was sad she won. In fact, he was ecstatic.
It’s just...
She’s nowhere near strong enough to defeat a Grade 6.
But regardless of what he thought, the reality was different, and so, after finally snapping out of it, Ramiel glanced over to Rael.
His eyes were slightly blurred, but even so...
"She cheated."
He had the gall to call her a cheater.
"And how did she cheat exactly?" Rael mused.
"All the attacks I hit her with vanished, and she always somehow narrowly dodged my attacks," Ramiel replied. "She’s still young, so it’s impossible for her to have such extensive knowledge of a Law."
"On the contrary..." Rael coughed. "Nevermind. She didn’t cheat. She beat you fair and square, and I suggest you keep true to your word, because if you don’t, I’ll scramble your brains and turn you into my puppet."
Ramiel recoiled slightly, and almost like he didn’t believe Rael, he looked for a chance to escape.
Then he kicked off the ground and, with impressive speed, he dashed through the air.
Lilith couldn’t catch up to him.
But the same couldn’t be said for Rael, who just snapped his fingers, froze time, and then walked over to Ramiel, stopping just in front of him.
Should he just turn him into a cripple?
It would be much easier.
But then again, Lilith wouldn’t feel as satisfied if he did that.
So instead, Rael went with the much simpler option.
He unfroze time, and then, while Ramiel was in motion, Rael grabbed him by the neck and held him tightly.
So tight, in fact, that his fingers sunk into Ramiel’s neck.
Ramiel tried to resist by chopping Rael’s arms off, but that didn’t work as Rael went ahead and did just that.
With Ramiel hanging in the air without any of his limbs, he tried to quickly regenerate and attack Rael once again.
However, Rael channeled Ramiel’s own blood and created a stump right where he tore his arms off.
So now, unless he removed that stump, he couldn’t regenerate his limbs.
And with Rael canceling out Ramiel’s mana every time he tried to use it, he was now just a chunk of flesh.
Therefore, Rael nodded to himself and then brought Ramiel back to Lilith, holding him out like a goose.
"Hmm... Okay, Rael, you can let him go now."
"Are you sure?"
"Mhm. Just let him be. He won’t run away again, since I just talked to father."
She did...?
"He added me to his friend list shortly after we left. I didn’t mention it in case someone was listening, but now, I feel like I have to mention it." Lilith chuckled. "So, dear brother. If you try to escape once more, I will tell father about our bet, and he will embarrass you personally."
Although she said that, Rael could tell it was a flat-out lie.
But to Ramiel, who firmly believed no one would dare to use their father’s name for their own gains like this.
Everyone except for Lilith, who would do so without a shred of care in the world.
Rael chuckled inwardly and watched as Ramiel’s expression crumbled.
Seeing how he was no longer resisting, Rael let him go and removed his stumps, allowing him to regenerate.
Finally, he was as good as new.
"Lilith... Do you dare involve father in our affairs?"
"How about you stick true to your word next time?" Lilith scoffed. "Now then, hand over all your territories. I don’t have time to bicker with you."
He grumbled, and then pulled out a few sheets of paper from his inventory before handing them over to Lilith.
She smiled.
"You don’t really expect me to sign everything myself, do you? Remove your own name and write mine. I’ll be waiting with my husband, so you go on ahead and do everything quickly."
He immediately sent a deathly glare at her, but after Rael countered with his own glare, Ramiel backed down immediately and obeyed like a good lapdog.
Just like that, Lilith secured herself a lot more territories, and clearly, with how much spring she had in her step, she was more than happy.
Rael was too, and so, the two of them proceeded to descend into one of the cities and eat some food. They talked about the Demonic Realm slightly, and Rael shared some knowledge he had.
It was a fun time and a time he kind of wished would continue forever.
But then again, they were in a realm with an immeasurable amount of demons.
Lilith had her goals, and Rael was there to support her goals.
It was as simple as that.
So when they were finished eating and chatting, they immediately got down to business.

For the next day, Lilith and Rael went ahead and terrorized every single nearby territory.
Unlike Ramiel, who went out personally to deal with Lilith, the other siblings weren’t as rash.
Instead, they stayed in their homes and simply started sending all sorts of fines addressed to Lilith.
Obviously, she tore all those fines up and proceeded ahead.
It was surprising how no one was actually trying to contest her, but when he caught sight of the map defining all the territories, he understood why.
The Demonic Realm was huge.
Lilith by now controlled 55 territories.
This would make up a small country.
On the other hand, the siblings she had been tormenting for the last couple of days had 783 and 922 territories respectively.
They weren’t worried about the loss of a single territory.
Ramiel was just a shitbag who didn’t have much.
No wonder he came out personally...
"So what now?" Rael sighed. "This might take a while. Do you want to go to their homes personally?"
"There’s no need for that. Remember, there’s a ceremony."
Right...
A ceremony was supposed to happen today.
"Shall we go back to the capital then?"
