Re-Awakening: I Became a Pay To Win Boss Monster

Chapter 654: A Billion Increase

Chapter 654: A Billion Increase

"Is something up?" Lilith asked, puzzled. "You’ve been spacing out for the last hour or so... Should I be worried?"

"Worried? I wouldn’t say so," Rael replied with a chuckle. "If anything, I think I’m about to surprise you with a little something."

"A little something, huh? Okay... If you say so."

She didn’t seem that worried.

Honestly, why would she be?

She knew just how competent Rael was, and she also knew that he could get even more powerful very quickly.

Rael did mention the amount of money he started getting recently, and although it probably hadn’t made much sense to Lilith, she did get the general idea.

And because of that, neither Rael nor Lilith were bothered.

So instead, Rael spent the next couple of hours watching the contestants fight each other.

Surprisingly, his turn hadn’t come for a while, and he was beginning to think there was some kind of preferential treatment involved.

But it was likely a mistake, or rather, Johan intentionally waited so long to match him up against someone powerful.

And that someone powerful seemed to be someone very high up in the food chain too.

Lorelis, The Duke of Fire [Grade 7 Calamity Class | Level 3,994] - Vitality: Tier 37 [100% / 100% HP]

A Grade 7, with the power to easily match any Grade 8.

Rael would know. After all, this guy had already fought several times in the arena in the last couple of hours.

And his abilities were interesting.

But there was one more thing Rael saw now that he had the Law of Infinity.

And that was...

<Lorelis, The Duke of Fire [Grade 7 Calamity Class | Level 3,994]>

<Laws><Law of Fire, Law of Space, Law of Time, Law of Earth, Law of Water, Law of Wind, Law of Hellfire.>

<7 Laws Detected.>

<The strength of your Laws has been increased by: 1,000,000,000%>

Rael couldn’t tell if what he was seeing was legit.

After all... 1 billion did seem like a lot.

Especially when it came to Laws.

But maybe it was a typo.

Yeah... a really, really stupid typo.

Nah.

He was just being stupid.

"Rael and Lorelis. The two of you get in the arena now."

With Johan’s menacing and commanding voice, Rael snapped out of it.

He had been staring at Lorelis but he forgot to move to the arena.

Because of that, many of the surrounding demons began to laugh at him.

It was almost like they thought the only reason he hadn’t gone down was because he was scared.

But in reality... Rael was just too preoccupied with other stuff.

Regardless of that though, he gave Lilith a quick kiss, and after standing up and adjusting his clothes, Rael teleported down to the arena.

His teleportation was instant, and it slightly surprised Lorelis.

"You have the Law of Space alongside the Law of Time too? That’s pretty impressive for someone of your Grade."

He was talking to Rael like a toddler.

But Rael didn’t exactly care.

"Thanks. Oh, do you recognize this as well then?"

The moment Rael said those words, he extended his hand.

In the next instant, black flames spewed out, resembling the same ones Lilith had used.

And that was because she seemed to somehow have a high comprehension of the Law of Hellfire.

The Law of Fire was also a good addition, since it increased the strength of his flames.

But clearly, just the Law of Fire boosting the Law of Hellfire wasn’t enough to do what it was currently doing.

After all, Rael summoning just a few black flames accidentally burnt the ground to a crisp, and without even meaning to, he had slapped those flames right onto Lorelis, burning his entire upper body in an instant.

Normally, anyone would’ve been killed in this scenario, but since this demon was powerful, and his demonic core wasn’t in his upper body, he regenerated in the next instant and stared at Rael with a look of interest.

"I see... so you’re the chosen consort by the exiled princess, huh?" Lorelis mumbled. "I tip my hat to you as I respect the powerful. May we have a good duel, chosen consort."

Huh.

Rael didn’t know this guy was that big of a cornball.

Either way, it didn’t matter as the two of them finally turned toward the demon king.

And seeing that, Johan just stared at them for a few short moments before raising his hand.

Before lowering it, however, he said a few words.

"I was going to announce a handicap for Lorelis, but it seems like the gap between a Grade 3 and a Grade 7 is not as vast as I had anticipated."

He let out a slight chuckle and glanced at Rael.

"You may go all out without having to worry about the surroundings. As you might expect, I am more than powerful enough to stop any of your attacks."

Mhm.

Rael just wanted to get this started.

And thankfully, after the demon king said a few more formalities to Lorelis, it was time to start.

The two of them stared at each other intently, and just then, Johan finally lowered his hand.

The moment he did, Lorelis disappeared from the arena.

And yet, Rael immediately picked up on what was happening.

Time slowed down so much that he could clearly see Lorelis’s silhouette moving through the cracks in space.

He was aiming to move behind Rael.

But of course, Rael knew perfectly well from where Lorelis would come from, and since that was the case, the moment Lorelis hopped out of his spatial crack to attack Rael, he was met with a completely new attack.

There were a few Laws Rael liked, such as Chaos.

He realized that if he applied Chaos to any kind of other ability, it would mutate that Law, and it heavily depended on how much Chaos he inserted.

So what if he inserted every bit of Chaos imaginable into the Law of Hellfire?

And clearly, as the now white flames spewed out from Rael’s palm and began burning space and time itself, Lorelis was left at a loss.

Even so, Rael decided to piss him off even more just before the attack was about to hit.

"Try dodging this."
