Chapter 656: Surprise
Chapter 656: Surprise
They ate their food in peace, and after they were finished, instead of heading to bed and waiting for tomorrow, they decided to go out for a stroll.
The demonic realm was huge, and unlike most of the time, Lilith had her hands on the wheel and decided to show Rael around.
At first, she took him to some neighboring cities, which, of course, were all controlled by her now.
They were nice, and she even recognized a few people. Some of those people were kind to her in the past, so naturally, Rael showed his appreciation for them too.
Not only that, the demons were extremely lively, and they rarely slept.
Truthfully, Rael didn’t need to sleep either, but he wasn’t sure why these people would sacrifice the comfort of sleeping for just a few hours more of productivity.
Being lazy was good sometimes.
Regardless of that though, they eventually finished their exploration, and right as they started heading home, Lilith suddenly halted, her expression turning to one of enlightenment.
The moment Rael turned toward her in interest, she spoke.
"Remember when you showed me that spaceship?"
"...Sure?"
"Well, it’s my turn to show you something nice, okay?"
Although he was a little confused about just what she was talking about, Rael nodded at her anyway.
"Good. Follow me."
With that, she kicked off the ground and began flying through the sky.
He was a little confused why she didn’t just opt in for cracking space and getting over there, but perhaps she just wanted to spend more time with him.
But since they were so fast, that time wasn’t very long as they soon arrived in a surprisingly lush green forest in some corner of the demonic realm.
He thought greenery was rare here.
Clearly, some places hadn’t been affected.
But even then, he could feel a bunch of powerful monsters inside this forest, but of course, they didn’t stand a chance against him.
Especially now, since the moment he killed Lorelis, his stats had gone up dramatically.
Even if he was weaker than him and stats mattered very little, he still had billions of stats to give to Rael.
And now, with his stats doubling and his Laws increasing in power by so much, Rael didn’t even know where he stood.
If he could one shot a Grade 7, did that mean he could fairly beat a Grade 8?
Could he even beat a Grade 9, perhaps?
Rael was getting excited just thinking about it.
Was he finally starting to climb up to the big leagues?
Shaking his head at those thoughts, he turned toward Lilith.
Just then, she began willingly walking into the lush forest, and so he followed right after her.
"What exactly are we doing here?" Rael asked. "I can’t exactly feel anything special about this forest."
She chuckled and continued walking without saying a word.
Rael raised a brow, and although he could feel a cave up ahead and saw that it led somewhere below, he decided not to ruin the surprise and just trusted Lilith to lead the way.
But just then, a large tiger jumped out from the bushes.
It seemed like a demonic tiger, and at a glance, it was at least a Grade 4 monster.
Yet when it got close to Rael, he simply snapped his finger and turned the entire monster into dust, happily absorbing a portion of its stats at the same time.
This feeling of being so powerful was strangely intoxicating.
But then again, he knew that although he was powerful, he wasn’t the only one in the multiverse with so much power.
Nonetheless, as the two walked through the forest, Rael went ahead and killed every monster that dared to approach them until finally, the two stopped in front of a small entrance on the side of the mountain.
"I almost forgot where it was, but hey, we’re here," Lilith announced and pointed at the cave. "Ready to have your mind blown?"
"I’m looking forward to it."
Letting out a slight giggle, Lilith took the lead once again and squeezed into the cave, then began to crawl as the cave got narrower and narrower.
Obviously, the view for Rael was everything he could ask for, since as it so happened, Lilith only wore a skirt and panties today.
So while he was enjoying heaven, Lilith was smiling to herself, knowing full well just what Rael was doing.
Eventually though, the cave narrowed downward before suddenly expanding.
The expansion downward was followed by a slide which, after Lilith put on a pair of pants from her inventory and shot Rael a teasing grin, she slid down, waving at him to follow.
"..."
He couldn’t wait until they finally left the Demonic Realm.
Definitely.
As he slid down after her, colorful crystals appeared along the walls.
The further down he went, the more crystals there were, and also, there were a lot more colors than before too.
It was a beautiful experience, but it ended quickly as he soon felt his body leave the slide and then hurtle toward a pool of clear blue water below him.
He was going to catch himself, but after seeing Lilith swimming around in it in a bikini, he let himself fall without worry.
And the water was thankfully deeper than it looked, since even after he fell into it and began to sink, he was nowhere near the bottom.
Yet he could see thousands of sea creatures swimming around, and not a single one approached Rael, but it was still a beautiful sight regardless.
And when he swam up, he finally saw the inside of this place.
It was a large cave lit by millions of crystals, all of which reflected colors from one to another.
So it looked like an indoor aurora, as even the surface of the water glowed in bright colors.
There were a few underground trees here, and below one of them, there was a cozy tent which Lilith had somehow had the time to set up.
But as he was about to get out of the water and approach the tent to get dry, Lilith suddenly burst up into the air behind him and landed on his shoulders.
Resting her breasts atop his head, she hugged him playfully.
"Surprise~!"
