Chapter 855: One Hit Blade
Chapter 855: One Hit Blade
Nearly two minutes after Rael’s most powerful attack, he was now lying in a puddle of his own blood, which was a little strange, since he shouldn’t have any blood to begin with.
But oh well... The fact that his limbs were scattered all around him, and the pain was pretty tough, Rael felt peachy.
And as he stared at the knight who towered over him, Rael just sighed, quickly regenerated, and then stood tall as he stared at his zweihander that was knocked out of his hands for the 10th time in the last minute.
"Is this fun for you?" Rael asked.
The knight raised a brow.
"It’s not supposed to be fun, no. However, I do have to admit, beating someone up who has immortality is giving me quite an ego boost. I feel like once I go back to my floor, I’ll be able to do quite well against similar opponents."
Oh?
That just told Rael a lot.
"So you were once a climber as well?" Rael asked.
The knight didn’t respond, and instead, he raised his sword, prepared to just blast Rael to smithereens.
However, Rael decided to just do something completely different, as by now, he was done evaluating the knight.
Parry (Supreme): You may parry any one attack every 5 seconds.
Law Compression Technique: A technique which allows the compression of all of your Laws an unlimited amount. You may store Compressed Law attacks and use them later. There is no minimum limit to store a Compressed Law.
Life Drain (Celestial): Focus on your opponent and drain 5% of their total HP per second.
He had a few techniques, and for one, he was sure he could use every single one of them.
And so he did just that.
The moment the knight’s sword arrived in front of Rael, he immediately raised his own sword and activated parry.
To the surprise of the knight, his sword went flying into the sky, as the force behind the parry was so fierce, even his hands trembled slightly. Yet once he glanced back at Rael, he was still confidently pursuing him.
So he also decided to take Rael more seriously, as he caught his sword and then swung down again, fully sure that Rael wouldn’t be able to parry him again.
And yet, he was completely wrong, as attack after attack, the knight’s slashes were blocked, redirected, and even parried back at him with the same force he had given.
Moreover, the opponent he was fighting was practically immortal, had infinite mana, and if that wasn’t enough, he was so proficient in the Law of Time, he could reverse all of his injuries, remove his cooldowns, and even manipulate his Laws to enhance them subtly.
In short... a being like this didn’t belong on the lower floors, and yet, from all the information that the knight had gotten, he knew for a fact that Rael had entered the tower not even that long ago.
But, with his reputation on the line, the knight realized that he had to take another approach. That approach was none other than using his own Laws to fight, instead of raw strength and mana.
On the other hand, Rael felt like he was slowly making progress, when all of a sudden, a black aura appeared around the knight. The amount of killing intent behind that aura was enough to send a shiver down Rael’s spine.
And that was weird, considering Rael was sure that he felt fear... And he should be immune to fear.
So for that reason alone, Rael decided to stop relying only on the parry ability, and instead, he finally began using Life Drain. The moment he did... Rael was left greatly surprised.
-55,000! Life Drain!
-55,000! Life Drain!
-55,000! Life Drain!
It was working wonders, and the amount of damage made Rael realize that this guy was a much higher level than he had initially thought.
But despite his health ticking down, the knight didn’t even bat an eye as he suddenly crossed the distance between himself and Rael. Then, with a swing of his sword, he clashed with Rael.
Even though Rael activated his parry ability, that didn’t completely stop the knight, as instead, he used some weird ability that multiplied the amount of times he attacked, and so no matter what Rael did, he wouldn’t be able to counter millions of attacks in a split second while refreshing his cooldowns and reactivating his parry ability.
And because of that, Rael stared at his zweihander that was suddenly pierced through as though it was made out of butter.
<Ding!>
<Red Steel Zweihander (Mythic+) has been destroyed!>
<Ding...!>
<ERROR!>
<The item has infinite durability.>
<Notice: Due to the scope of the attack that the weapon has suffered, the infinite durability property has been temporarily sacrificed to reset the weapon’s durability to 1.>
<Notice 2: It is highly recommended the user stores the weapon now, as even a pebble would be able to break it completely.>
Seeing that, Rael clicked his tongue, and in the next instant, he stashed away the sword inside his dimensional ring.
And then, right as his future sight spotted the knight reappearing in front of him, Rael quickly used his Absolute Architect skill, and without thinking too much about it, or even trying to fix up any setting, Rael abruptly infused as much mana as he could into the skill.
As it so happens... Since he had an infinite amount of mana...
<Ding!>
<You have produced a Supreme Ranked weapon!>
<One Hit Blade (Supreme) has been produced, and the blueprint has been successfully saved.>
Before Rael could even completely inspect his new creation, a thin black sword appeared in his grasp. It was very light, and yet, the blade looked like some kind of endless cosmos, to the point that Rael was genuinely surprised he managed to produce something like this.
But even so, seeing how the knight was already in motion, Rael decided to give this little One Hit Blade a quick test run.
