Chapter 856: Beating His Ass
Chapter 856: Beating His Ass
And give the One Hit Blade a test run he did, as the moment his sword made contact with the knight’s, the knight’s sword shattered.
But for some reason, so did Rael’s One Hit Blade.
<Ding!>
<One Hit Blade (Supreme) has been destroyed.>
"Huh...?" The knight paused, realizing what had just happened. But Rael used that pause to deliver an uppercut straight to his helmet. Due to the shock the knight was experiencing, he wasn’t able to react.
Though, it didn’t seem like he needed to react in the first place, as the moment Rael’s hand made contact with the helmet, his hand shattered, and the helmet was barely even dented. In fact, that dent was just Rael’s placebo thinking he did shit, when in reality, he didn’t even manage to leave behind a scratch on the helmet.
But despite that, since the knight was still in shock, Rael went ahead and took a few good steps back, then quickly used the blueprint for the One Hit Blade and crafted it.
Once it reappeared in his grasp, Rael decided to give it one quick look to see just what was so special about it.
And when he inspected it, he was left speechless.
—One Hit Blade (Supreme)
Durability: 1/1
Damage: 0
Special Effect: Destroys any equipment it touches, bypassing all Durability locks.
It was a deceiving blade, as rather than actually dealing an infinite amount of damage, it bonked the equipment of his enemies. Not to mention, if Rael could spam this, or turn the blade into arrows, he could just make it rain arrows that pierce through all the defenses.
That was actually a fun role. He had never been a support, so if it comes down to it where he wouldn’t be able to handle something on his own, he could team up with a bunch of people and build a name for himself as a powerful support.
...Or something.
Rael was getting way too ahead of himself.
Unless I can make a bow that triples the projectiles? Or maybe more? Hehehe... Ideas, ideas, and more ideas. I just need to fuck this knight up first, but... I think he’s a little angry?
That theory was confirmed when the knight suddenly vanished out of sight, and before Rael knew it, he was held by his throat. He wasn’t able to use any of his Laws, nor was he able to swing down his One Hit Blade to piss the knight off.
Instead...
"Do you know the value of what you just destroyed?"
"I don’t quite give a shit, my friend," Rael said, bearing through the pain. "On another note, why don’t you end the trial here and now before you lose more gear? I mean, unless you feel like you can kill me here and avoid all the consequences?"
Although Rael was acting really cocky, he was also sure that the core of this trial couldn’t change. If this guy were to kill him, then whoever he worked for would probably lobotomize him on the spot and force him to prestige.
But then again, if that sword actually meant something to him, then he would probably go against those rules.
However, in the heat of the moment, Rael decided to pull some shit he had only seen in the movies. He let go of the One Hit Blade and watched as it fell right onto the knight’s foot, piercing straight through his boot and deleting a giant chunk of his armor right off the go.
Funnily enough, he was wearing some plain white socks, and once he realized that another piece of his fancy armor was broken, he went ahead and tightened his grip on Rael’s neck, then snapped it.
Rael felt a brief wave of pain wash over him, which quickly enhanced itself when the knight suddenly ripped his head clean off his body and then tossed his head into one of the giant gladiator arena’s pillars.
Before his head could get squashed like a tomato, Rael enveloped it in some mana, and shortly after, enhanced his healing to the point where he managed to completely heal up in mere moments.
And once he was fully healed, he glanced over at the knight, who, despite everything that just happened, suddenly flicked his fingers and vanished.
In the next instant, several dozen pop-ups appeared in front of Rael, causing a faint chuckle to escape his lips.
<Ding!>
<You have cleared the Boss Floor!>
<Ding!>
<You may now enter the 100th floor.>
<Would you like to enter the 100th floor? Yes / No>
<Notice: If nothing is selected within 10 minutes, you will be automatically transported to the 50th floor.>
Rael was a little bit surprised at how all of this turned out, since from what he could see, he could’ve easily dealt with the knight, as he was immortal, and the knight was sentimental.
As for the lack of damage Rael was dealing, he was sure that had something to do with the equipment that knight was wearing.
Honestly... I’m getting some very~ naughty ideas now. What if I just go up to the 100th floor, then prestige, and go back to the 95th boss floor just to piss him off?
If he could kill someone so high level, then it would make everything worthwhile. But then again, Rael felt like he would meet him again soon. That, or someone else.
Anyhow, since Rael was finished up here and he got some decent information, he decided to just move on to the next floor.
So with that in mind, Rael pressed "Yes," and finally, he was teleported straight to the next safe zone.
However, when he reappeared, he was surprised to see that there were at least a few hundred people gathered in the center plaza. Except for some reason, half of them were sitting there limbless, while the other half were extremely injured.
To his surprise, Rael even spotted Nyx and Renoir among these people, and even they were injured, making him realize that the knight might have fought against them as well.
