Re-Awakening: I Became a Pay To Win Boss Monster

Chapter 920: Testing

Chapter 920: Testing

“Hmm…”

Rael stared at his creation, which just so happened to be a whole solar system, followed by the Milky Way, and everything else Rael could imagine.

It was honestly strange. He had only bought the identities of around 300 people, but why did all of those people know space so well? He felt like he could actually recreate the universe if he so much as wanted to.

Still, Rael focused on what he had going now, and of course, with the climate in check, the world’s beings the perfect size, and much more minor details that Rael included for no particular reason, Rael was ready to do the ultimate test.

He glanced at Earth, and then descended, landing in Seoul. He landed atop his rooftop, where he had lived most of his life, and where he had run to during the start of the apocalypse.

For funsies, Rael even made a replica of himself, but obviously, he didn’t give him a face either. Giving something or someone a face would ruin the whole experiment.

And speaking of experiments, Rael decided to finally start it.

He closed his eyes for a brief moment, and then reopened them, finding himself inside his Prophetic Realm. His Prophetic Realm trembled slightly, almost as if it was confused by what it was currently seeing.

But the surroundings were indistinguishable. Rael made sure of that, but there was also the obvious problem of the Law of Time. If he went ahead and reversed the time of this area, he would be back to a point where there was nothing.

Which was where this test came in. Through the usage of the Prophetic Realm, his memories, and sheer mental projection, Rael wanted to forcefully create an alternate timeline which locked onto the timeline of what happened here.

And so, although it was extremely far-fetched, Rael decided to try it out. Inside his Prophetic Realm, Rael went ahead and pushed out his Mind Realm also, using every bit of willpower to trick his Prophetic Realm into flagging this world ahead as something that once existed before.

At first, he thought that it wouldn’t work, and that was why he also became concerned when he realized he had no idea what an indication that it worked would be. Just what kind of bullshit plan did he come up with?

But bullshit it may be, there was one thing Rael forgot to account for in his calculations.

And that was the fact that infinite mana had close to zero limits, to the point where as long as he had something, he could do something. For that reason alone, before he could give up, Rael suddenly stopped, feeling his Prophetic Realm starting to stabilize.

The moment it did, Rael stopped everything that he was doing, and then felt the mana in the air. There was so much mana that it felt suffocating, but even then, he was more than surprised to see the surroundings from within the Prophetic Realm.

He had entered the Prophetic Realm atop the roof of his hotel. As it so happened, when he glanced at a replica of himself, Rael saw his face. It was no longer faceless. Now, it was an actual replica of Rael.

That thought alone excited him, since Rael sincerely felt like he had achieved something.

But in that split moment of excitement, Rael forgot that all of this was none other than a Prophetic Realm illusion.

So by sheer accident, Rael left the Prophetic Realm, and once again was met with a faceless replica. All of the mana that had been gathered in the Prophetic Realm scattered outward in one wind-like blast.

Except, the wind-like blast was so powerful that it managed to put a hole through the world. When time began to move a bit more normally, the world exploded with him in the very center.

Though Rael was sadly not that amused as he went ahead and used his Law of Time to turn back time by a few minutes.

It all happened very fast, and now, when he glanced at his faceless replica, Rael was determined to do what he had just done again.

And so that was exactly what he did. He entered the Prophetic Realm and began repeating the process. It took a lot longer than before, but that was precisely because Rael wanted to make sure he knew exactly what he was doing, and not just blindly infusing his mana into the Prophetic Realm in hopes of succeeding.

So in the end, Rael reached a state where he could pretty much do what he had done earlier in the time span of a few minutes.

But now that everything was done, and Rael was in the Prophetic Realm with everything still frozen, he felt like he could finally try the second portion of the test.

And that portion was none other than making these people move. At first, Rael thought he could just will them to do so, but then he realized that if he imagined this state of stillness as a time-frozen state, he could simulate their actual movements after he unfroze time.

…But in turn, he had to redo everything again to make sure it went right. Just this time, it took much, much longer than before. Maybe even a few months. Rael had lost count.

Though on the bright side, Rael now had the formula again, and so, he sat down on the ledge of the roof and stared at his replica. He was very hesitant to start time again, since he felt like this might not work.

Well…

Those were his thoughts for a good minute or two, until he realized that not sleeping with his wives in months made him kind of horny.

So like the good lapdog that he was, Rael closed his eyes and then finally willed time to resume to normal. At first, nothing happened, which made him slightly concerned.

But then, the hands of his replica began to twitch, confirming the fact that it was now alive.
