Re-Awakening: I Became a Pay To Win Boss Monster

Chapter 921: Successful Experiment?

Chapter 921: Successful Experiment?

Within moments, the replica began to move, and in unison, every single other being did too. It was a miracle that he managed to do something like this, to the point Rael was sure it was only a matter of time before he could see what he wanted to see.

But there was also one thing he didn’t quite calculate for, and that was the fact that these people didn’t seem to have much of a brain, at least not yet. Sure, they looked like their normal selves and somewhat acted like them.

Yet the problem stemmed from the sheer fact that every time they made some kind of movement, they kept repeating that movement, as if being glitched into doing it over and over again.

Rael was honestly no genius, so he decided to fix it by simply imagining every replica to have some semblance of an ego. Afterwards, he made sure to constantly unfreeze and freeze time, allowing the egos to build.

He even reset the time slightly but made sure to keep their memories. The more information they could take in, the better. And thankfully, this side of the experiment worked wonders, as within just a few years, they were able to act independently.

More importantly, Rael managed to find one very obvious loophole in this whole mess. Most of these people had died the moment the apocalypse began, so if he went ahead and bought their memories, then forcefully stuffed them inside their currently alive replicas, then that was perfect.

The only caveat was that he needed to delete the memories of those beings past their deaths, which was difficult to do manually, until he figured it out.

However, now that everything was in place, the egos were set, and the world was practically 1:1 to how it had been, Rael started his experiment in full swing.

Taking a deep breath, Rael went ahead and infused an immeasurable amount of mana inside his Prophetic Realm. He didn’t need to, at least not yet, but he realized that having extra mana for the Prophetic Realm to drain allowed far more accurate results to be shown.

And by that logic, all Rael needed to do was infuse a nigh-infinite amount of mana before finally stopping and unfreezing time.

The mana he had just summoned began draining rapidly, and yet, the replicas started moving seamlessly. Even Rael’s replica was jumping from one rooftop to another, exactly like how he did it.

And thankfully, just a few minutes into the experiment, Rael’s chest quivered when he saw something in the sky. There was a brief flash of lightning that he hadn’t noticed before, except now it was deathly clear.

That flash of lightning spread out across the entire world, hitting all the electricity in sight, including all the planes in the sky.

And as expected, within just a few moments, the world was devoid of electricity, and planes began to fall out of the sky. It all happened so fast, to the point his replica even paused for a little longer than usual and began draining his mana that much faster.

But after just a few moments of silence, the replica’s eyes widened. The moment a plane landed in the streets of Seoul, a flash of light appeared in the sky. It was an unfamiliar flash of light at first, until that flash of light gained a form.

It looked humanoid, and it was pretty tall for a human, all things considered. More importantly, the moment Rael glanced at that being, the mana he had infused into the Prophetic Realm began to drain at an even more ridiculous speed.

However, Rael didn’t let up just yet, as he used this brief opportunity to fly up toward the being. Since Rael wasn’t really supposed to be moving that much inside the Prophetic Realm, he felt some pain.

Rather, he could move… just moving here was a little more dangerous.

Though in the end, Rael managed to reach that humanoid figure, and he just simply stared at it, not saying anything.

It looked strange. Height-wise, it was a head taller than Rael. More importantly, its muscles were very well defined for someone who had just gained a form.

It was almost like there was a form that being had in mind. Rael couldn’t understand it, nor could he make out any facial features of this thing. But right as he thought that this might be a dead-end after all, a chunk of his mana had been wiped out as the humanoid being turned toward him.

Their eyes locked, and for a brief moment, Rael felt his consciousness slipping away. The sensation wasn’t anything like he had felt before, and if that wasn’t enough, Rael felt like his mind was being invaded.

Though that moment of vulnerability didn’t last long, as Rael soon fought back, causing the humanoid being’s empty eye sockets to widen. It slightly tilted its head, then inspected Rael even more closely.

To see a being like this who could simulate the past to such an extent, and even interact with it through a spectator-like barrier… it was nearly impossible.

And yet, Rael managed to do it so effortlessly… almost effortlessly.

So while the being had no intention to talk, it did continue to stare at Rael, its mouth slowly taking shape as a pair of crimson eyes soon appeared in its eye sockets.

Rael felt a shiver run down his spine when he saw its eyes. Yet once again, he stood his ground as he continued to stare at that being.

All the while, Rael infused more and more mana into his Prophetic Realm, making sure this connection continued to be stable.

And of course, recognizing that fact, that being smiled widely and finally opened its mouth. At first, only mana escaped its mouth, but after just a few minutes of back and forth, the being had figured out how to speak.

So after clearing its throat, it uttered its first words.
